I called this company about a fan noise issue on a new fan installation from another company (JK Radon--terrible company). Rick explained on the phone that I may have a defective fan that was from a bad batch from the manufacturer. He came on the same day and replaced it. He was going to help with the warranty exchange for me. I appreciate that he was honest about it over the phone and was quick to respond. I highly recommend this company!

Avg. radon level was 8-10 in the month before Ric showed up.

Just adding a quick update to highlight the new data showing our radon was eliminated in the days following installation.

The fan is installed in attic above my bedroom. The fan runs 24x7, but very quiet.

I have a sump pump in my basement with passive radon mitigation venting through the attic. I have been measuring the radon level for the past 12 months with a long-term reading between 2.8 ~ 3.5. After replacing my basement windows earlier this year, my radon level increased to 4.8. Ricardo came and installed an active radon mitigation system in my attic. After the installation, my 7-day radon level went down to 0.7. I am very pleased with Ricardo's knowledge and professionalism. Highly recommended!

I found out that our new house's radon level was very high. Around 10 to 12. I called Ricardo and have him install a mitigation system. He was very knowledgeable and the installation was very thorough. After the installation, the radon has dropped to less than 1. The EPA recommend that the radon level be no more than 4. Thanks to Ricardo, our house is very safe now. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. This is life or death. Make sure to hire the right person to do the job.

Radon readings before having the system installed. (Even with the windows open we could only get the short term average down to 2.18.)

We noticed our basement radon levels doubled after we expanded our basement waterproofing system and added another sump pump. Rick explained what allows radon into the home and what would need to be done to stop it, and gave us an estimate. He is VERY knowledgeable and professional. The work is affordable and VERY effective. Don't delay! Great VALUE!

Ric is very experienced, LICENSED and knowledgeable. Our builder failed to install a proper and working radon mitigation system. The radon levels in our basement were over 12 pCI/L. Ric fixed all the cracks in the basement and re-installed the fan. Now the levels are under 1 pCI/L. Very happy with his work.

I would not recommend this business…read more I had an active leak in my condo on a Saturday afternoon, with water coming through the ceiling and into a hardwired smoke detector. The alarm was going off, my property manager's emergency line was not answering, and the condo association's published emergency number was invalid. I eventually called the non-emergency fire station because I was concerned about water in the smoke detector and whether it could affect the building's alarm/sprinkler system. Hours later, around 10:30 PM, I received a call from someone who described himself as calling from an "emergency line." In that moment, I assumed he was connected to the property manager, condo association, or emergency response, and I started explaining the situation because I thought help had finally arrived. Instead, after a gut feeling something was "off", I discovered that he had gotten my name from fire department dispatch information and was contacting me to solicit business. Even after I told him I did not appreciate being called at 10:30 at night with him claiming to respond to my emergency call, he demanded the names of the property manager and property owner. That is wildly inappropriate. An active leak involving water damage and a smoke detector is not a marketing opportunity. Using emergency-response information and vague "emergency line" language to get someone on the phone during an active crisis is misleading and predatory. I would never hire or recommend someone who conducts business this way. I didn't trust this guy after just a few minutes on the phone with him, I definitely wouldn't let him in my house.

But after couple of days they stated that they need testing to be done and charged 1500$ for it, which wasn't approved by the insurance. I have called this company and tried to reach out to Julian atleast 10 times over the last 3 weeks. And his team mentions that he is in a meeting and will call back. But so far he has been unresponsive to any of the calls. Julian Rodriguez | Regional Branch Manager ServiceMaster Restoration Services - Mid-Atlantic E: jrodriguez@smrestore.net I will highly advise that you work with a different restoration company as they keep on adding different cost and expecting the insurance company will either ways pay for it. If the insurance company denies that cost will roll over to you all. VERY unprofessional dealing with them so far.

From the initial phone call with Logan, to the consultation with Yos, they listened to our concerns/requests & communicated things clearly. Yos was punctual, friendly, and efficient in his evaluation. He generated a detailed report outlining his professional opinion regarding minor cracks in our poured concrete foundation wall & even provided recommendations for preventative maintenance. Five stars!

Late in the summer of '24, we started to see a few cracks developing in our home. No big deal -…read moreit's 70+ years old, cracks happen. And then they kept happening, getting larger and spreading throughout the entirety of the house, and we could no longer open the doors in the basement and 1st floor on the south side of the house. Alarmed, I called a civil engineer and had an assessment done. They ascertained our house was sinking, particularly in one corner, and recommended ~30 push piers around the perimeter and up the centerline of the house... for over $100k. I literally laughed at him and asked him who he thought I was that he thought I could afford that. I called a few other places and got questionable assessments, and then I spoke with Yos from DMV. What a breath of fresh air. He was personable and honest. He recommended we get a 3rd party civil engineer to produce a report with drawings that I could use for any foundation company - even if I didn't go with DMV. We (finally, after a loooong delay on the civil engineer's part) got the report and drawings, and Yos and his team began work in early January to install ~10 helical piers on the sinking corner of the house. It was a pretty invasive project, but his team was fantastic. Fast forward 5 months and the cracks have stopped appearing, with a number of them even closing. We are very satisfied with the work DMV did for us, and are particularly pleased with their honesty. Where one company tried to sell us an overkill solution for six figures, Yos was upfront and told us what we really need - to address that affected area and revisit others if they end up being an issue - for roughly a quarter of the other company's price. That sort of honesty and pricing earns a permanent spot in my trusted contractor list.
