a plate of salad and a glass of water

Stopped in this town to get food before we crossed the border to Mexico. We were going to just order to go but once we got in, it smelled so good we wanted to stay for the bread. you can see by the pictures everything not only tasted awesome but looked amazing. Thanks for a great meal.

Service was great, the only thing that threw me off was the mint jello I got with my lamb chops.

I was passing through Nogales with my wife and sister and stopped by Ragazzi. We were pleasantly surprised to find a fine Italian restaurant in town for lunch. I had eggplant, my wife had spaghetti Bolognese, and my sister had Caesar salad. The food and presentation were excellent. The desserts were also very good. The only downside was that there was no lunch menu, so we were paying dinner prices. The pizza menu was not listed on the main menu. It was on the back of the dessert menu. This may be off putting for those who are looking for a cheaper alternative for lunch. I would suggest to management that both menus are given at the time of seating. With that said, I would highly recommend this restaurant who are looking for great Italian food and excellent service.

The place was very clean, with great ambiance. There was lots of parking. The service was amazing, every staff was very nice and they were very kind to seat us even though they were 30 minutes from closing. I ordered the seafood cioppino (they have options for white wine or red wine sauce). The flavor was super well balanced, the seafood was plentiful and perfectly cooked and very fresh. The quality was very high. It also came with a minestrone soup that was chock full of vegetables in a savory tomato broth. Prices were very good, this seafood pasta was about 28 dollars and it could easily feed two, and again it was chock full of high quality fresh seafood. My friend got the kids pepperoni pizza because he wasn't very hungry and it was huge still, can't imagine what the regular size would be. This place definitely deserves a stop. I will for sure be returning if I'm ever in the area.

We were warmly greeted and shown to our table immediately at our reservation time. Party of 4. The restaurant is in a strip mall. They've done a nice job inside dressing it up but it could probably use an update again. Water and bread arrived almost before we were seated. There was garlic bread and a focaccia. Oil oil and balsamic are provided at the table. The bread is good but nothing memorable. Drink orders were taken and delivered fast. My $13 glass of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo was good. All the entrees come with soup or salad. Three of us had Minestrone and one tomato basil. All were tasty and fresh Parmesan was shaved on top table side. The soups could have been a little hotter IMO. We ordered two chicken dishes, an Eggplant lasagna, which is no longer listed on the menu, but they'll make it for you, and Cioppino. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. I had the Cioppino and thought the scallops, shrimp and mussels could have been cooked for 60-90 seconds less. They weren't chewy but not buttery soft either. The sauce was very good. Considering the restaurant is owned by a Mexican family and there likely isn't an Italian chef anywhere near this area, I'd give it a solid 4. They wouldn't survive in NYC or the surrounding area, but if I lived here, and the service and food were the quality we experienced tonight, I'd be a regular.

Thankfully, we found Ragazzi! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance of checking on us without making us feel like we were being supervised. My wife ordered the chicken parmigiana with Alfredo sauce, and I went with the lobster ravioli. We paired them with a glass of Malbec for her and a Merlot for me. Everything was delicious, but I have to give a special shout-out to the warm bread. Let's just say it took some serious self-control to save room for our entrées. Then came the grand finale: the tiramisu. It was absolutely divine and easily big enough for two people to share... assuming one of them is willing to share. Fortunately, we've had 29 years to practice. We left full, happy, and wondering how we hadn't discovered Ragazzi sooner. It's always exciting to find a fantastic local restaurant, especially one so close to home. We'll definitely be back--and probably sooner than our next anniversary!

I would characterize it as New York style... a thin crust that is soft enough to fold. They use fresh, gourmet ingredients to create some interesting flavor combinations. Though I believe the owner is a native Italian, there is definitely some local (ie Mexican) influence. Would I like jalapenos on my pizza? Um, yes please! Since it is a very new restaurant, there are still some kinks to work out (hence the 3 stars). This is definitely a mom and pop operation. Still, the staff is friendly and our Sangria glasses (ok, plastic cups) were never empty. It is worth a visit just to check out the funky decor. Murals, woodwork and pottery from local artists are on display and the furniture is very electic. The building was formerly a wine cellar for the adjacent winery but it has now been completely transformed - the original wood and stonework is all still there but now there's tons of color everywhere and not a blank wall in the place. So, if you ever find yourself driving along the highway that runs between Patagonia and Nogales, keep your eyes peeled for a large cement building that has been brightly painted with strands of Christmas lights hanging from the eaves... and in front of that a small sign with an arrow that simply reads "pizza".

All set for pizza we did a mad search on yelp and found Cafe Kino.. Well this time I called ahead and got Tino the owner.. who said.. that they were also closed, but he was there and 'what the heck' come on over. We arrived and Tino was outside with his arms up saying "you made it, Welcome!" his family and friends were outside having a little bbq, and he opened the restaurant for us.. we could sit anywhere.. we told him we wanted pizza he asked if we like wine (this is a winery too) he then brought us a big pitcher of Sangria.. yum! and then some chicken wings (they were chicken breasts with raspberry chili sauce) he said he had made it for his family but that he could make more and he gave it to us. Then some more wine tasting, a hand squeezed lemonade for my son and he started up a pinball machine for my 6 year old to play. Tino then said.. you guys like food, I'll bring you some salads and then make the pizza. He brought a plate of russian salads, beets, peas, potatoes and fresh bread with pesto.. double yum! He asked what we liked on our pizza.. now remember.. he wasn't open, he was doing all of this himself! amazing! we asked for cheese and veggies.. Well, the cheese was amazing.. a white pizza with pickled vegetables, best ever! We could hardly fit any in after the first couple of courses! So, we had some leftovers. Tino brought a box and I realized.. we never saw a menu never asked the price, and I had to ask.. so.. "how much?" he said.. "whatever..." so we pulled out what cash we had and gave it to him and he said.. "that's good" We not only had an amazing meal in an amazing place, but a crazy story to tell. STop by and check this place out.. you'll see the columns and the sign that says Winery-Pizza. Also, if you like decorations that seemed to be inspired by a Hunter S. Thompson dream.. you'l really love this place. 5 Stars to Tino and Kino Cafe!
