I had a taco salad with chicken and he had a cheese burger. We both had water to drink. My salad was good, with plenty of chicken, beans, lettuce and salsa. It filled me up. On Tuesday, 7 April 2026, this establishment committed a Class 2 Misdemeanor by refusing service to a veteran, his family, and his service animal. The reason, they apparently didn't think the "dog was a registered Service Dog". Folks, there is no "registry" of service animals, nor can an establishment ask this question. Under the ADA and Arizona Statute A.R.S 11-1024, denial of access is a Class 2 misdemeanor. And, this establishment, and another in Patagonia, committed that crime. There are EXACTLY two questions that can be asked of a service animal handler. One, "is this animal required for a disability". The answer in this case was "yes". Two, "what specific task or tasks is the animal trained for". This question was answered. It's not funny, it's discrimination. Against a disabled veteran and his family. And it's illegal. If I were a Patagonian, I'd probably avoid this establishment. I mean, if they can't follow simple ADA and Arizona statutes, what else are they violating? Food safety rules? How would we know? When next in Sonoita I was going to visit Patagonia. Now I have no motivation to. In my personal opinion, protected by the First Amendment, this is not an establishment worth patronizing. Shame on the owner, who claims the dog wasn't "registered". Either you, your staff, or both broke the law. Wonder how that's going to work out?

It came across as though she was assuming they were going to leave without paying. My husband showed her that he had money to cover the bill, and her attitude immediately changed. Suddenly, she was extremely friendly with him. The change was so obvious that it was hard not to notice. My husband also asked if she could put on a specific baseball game. After rolling her eyes and displaying an attitude about the request, she put on an old Red Sox game from the early 2000s and told him that was the best she could do. What made it worse was that shortly afterward, she had no problem helping a regular put on the PGA tournament. That made the treatment of our group feel very inconsistent. When we first arrived, one of my friends asked if she could throw away a small grocery bag containing soda cans. The bartender looked at her strangely and commented that her trash cans were tiny. It was an unnecessarily rude interaction over something so simple. Our food also came out at different times. One of my friend's meals came out wayyyyy after the rest of ours, which was frustrating, especially given the overall attitude we had experienced from the bartender. I also noticed the bartender drinking a beer with a regular while she was on shift. Seeing her socialize and drink with a regular while treating our group so differently definitely added to the impression that certain customers were being treated much better than others. As for the food, the pizza was okay, but the sauce lacked flavor. The lemon pepper wings were crispy and cooked well, but they also lacked flavor. Our waitress was actually good and was sweet toward the end of our visit. She even brought sundaes for the kids who hadn't received one with their meals, which we appreciated. However, we couldn't help but feel that the bartender had already formed an opinion about our group and may have influenced the way we were treated. We came in after our kids' game expecting to enjoy a meal with our families. We weren't loud, our kids were well behaved, and we were prepared to pay our bill. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, whether they're a regular or someone visiting for the first time. My friend got the kids pepperoni pizza because he wasn't very hungry and it was huge still, can't imagine what the regular size would be. This place definitely deserves a stop.
