This place is fun! I've taken my boyfriend on a surprise date here, and also brought my mom for her birthday. It is on the pricey side, but totally worth it; where else can you smash things? I will say, the amount of items that are included in a session only takes about 10 minutes to smash. They do have options to add extras, but the selection kind of depends on the day it seems. I noticed they had a lot more options when I went during the week vs when I went on a weekend. I also noticed that they let me play music the first time I went, but that wasn't an option the most recent time. Book well in advance, and plan on eating after (but not in the immediate area)- smashing stuff is exhausting! Unless you want to risk the sketchy car "dealership" next door taking ownership of your car while you're inside. They advertise having a parking lot and they do, which is video surveilled. And even though there is space for two cars, they wouldn't let me park behind the other car - prior customer) or behind the employee's car. Overrated. We did the 2 people for 20 minutes. When we first got there, we were greeted super nicely. We signed our waivers, showed our IDs, and got started. We each got to pick out 15 items to smash and then got in our gear. The room had piles of glass stacked everywhere, and a decent amount of tools. We were looking forward to blasting music while smashing stuff, and we were told the speaker was dead, which was super disappointing. I think for the price, it was not worth how quickly it was, and the number of items. Within 10 minutes, we were done, and I didn't feel like any rage was let out. If you want to do this, I recommend investing in some bigger, harder-to-smash items for more fun. read more

For $60 bucks, you get the double trouble package which includes 20 minutes of raging for 2. Everything is provided for you including the protective gear and cleanup. I went to Rage Industry through Groupon to collect a new gem in my repertoire of new experiences. And this sure was a gem. A friend and I tried their Double Trouble session and got to smash more than thirty items. After being suited up in head to toe protective gear, we got to try out various weapons on the items. The host, Brian, was very courteous and answered all our questions without hesitation. He also allowed us to play our own music. It can get pretty hot inside while you're smashin tho. And the video footage doesn't come with audio. If they fix those two somehow this could be a five star review! Having originally heard about RI a few years back, I always treated the whole notion of a "smashroom" with a degree of removed amusement. It seemed like a fun idea for bridal parties and whatnot, or for those workaday folks who couldn't suss out their frustrations with a post-work jog... but for me? Went here for a friend's birthday party (right before the pandemic hit). A bit pricey but it was a fun and unique experience. Depending on the package you pick, you can grab different sorts of breakables and a bunch of beer bottles to smash with your choice of hammer, bat, crowbar, etc. There's also add-ons like printers and game consoles if you wanna reenact Office Space. Honestly this was a great experience to do! Had a great time smashing items and batting and golfing with glass bottles. However my only issue was timing and staff. I had a 7:30 appointment and arrived at 7:32. We went in, picked our items, and they sent us into the room around 7:45 once we got all our protective gear on as well. They then said we only had until 7:55 to hit a corner of one small wall. It would be nice if the "hitting area" was larger and we had more than just 10 minutes. For 10 min of play, I paid a good $80. The staff also didn't seem that friendly - kind of felt like he was ready to leave for the day and wanted us to just finish quick. I wasn't asked if I wanted to purchase the footage and thankfully I read ahead of time on the website that it was available for purchase so I asked and they made an additional transaction for the video. Man I dont even know where to begin... I read the online description through Groupon and thought it was too good to be true. Like you're telling me I can go into a room already full of cool weapons and just break a bunch of s*** while the playlist / song of my choice is playing (we chose Marvin Gaye Btw)??? It was fanF****ing-tastic, I'd give it 10 stars if I could. It was a great way to decompress and get rid of aggression / negative energy. Go alone, go with a friend, go with your girlfriend, go with your mama... BUT GO! I smashed an assortment of bottles, glass, plates, and I bought a toilet to smash with a sledgehammer thing. There was crowbars, bats, pans, all kinds of stuff that you'd always wanna break. And its really affordable too. Lowkey you get tired (and a little hot and sweaty if you're doing it right) but I don't see that as a negative really. Also it was ultra safe. I was nervous to try it at first, but rest assure it is so much fun! Very cool space, and fun place to hang out with friends doing something different. How many people get to answer the question, "what'd you do last night" by saying "break shit" It is definitely stress relieving even when you didn't realize you were stressed and oddly satisfying! Unfortunately my daughter and I had a 3:05 appointment in Seattle at Rage and high winds closed the I90 Bridge(mercer Island) as we were leaving! I called and the guy said nope sorry no refunds if you miss it we still charge your card and we are completely book... so we did not have the option to drive around 520 to get into seattle for a later time! They charged my card $60 and we had no further exchange... very disappointed in how this was handled! read more

A very unique and interesting experience. The whole concept is to smash and destroy things. It's a good way to blow of some steam and relieve some stress and take it out on things! I would suggest tough shoes or shoes with thick soles since you are most likely going to be walking around in broken glass. Also have a good playlist since they provide wireless speakers. The staff is great and made sure we were safe and protected. You are provided with a mask, gloves, and a jumpsuit. The weapons could use some upgrades, especially the bats since they were very beaten up. It was fun to just smash bottles and throw them across the room. Even though you only get 20 minutes, we got through all the items to destroy and were sweating and tired by the end of it. Definitely would suggest trying it once! read more

This place is actually pretty fun. It was easy to buy online. I got the "double trouble" for $60-$65. ( I don't remember the exact price. You get to choose a pretty great amount of items. Then, you break the sh*t out of everything. It says online that they will play music for you, at least I thought that's what it said but they said they couldn't do that. I recommend upgrading and paying for more items or even paying the extra fee to bring some of your own. The provided a full body one piece, gloves and goggles. If your not comfortable with using their stuff, take your own. The customer service over the phone was great until the day of. The guy that checked us in a feed super sketchy and we felt like the place wasn't legit when we met him. He wasn't enthusiastic or anything. Just gave the most "professor Bueller" instructions and closed the door. He must have been doing something on the computer because he would run back to hop on ASAP. I can't remember how I heard about this place but I wanted to try it out but was a little skeptical. It ended up being pretty fun and I highly recommend adding on bigger items like the toilet. The space was on the tiny side but overall, a good time, and there's something satisfying about trashing things that you don't have to clean up afterward. Their website recommends lightweight clothing because it gets hot and that's no joke. I felt like I needed a shower when I was done. read more

I was invited here for an after hours party and was unsure at first. The place was really cool when you get inside to break things. We mostly broke bottles but you can upgrade for bigger items. The only critique I have is they need bigger rooms and more of them so you can snag big stuff without hitting the walls. Oops. Sorry. . What a waste of time and money. First, I arrived 10 minutes early like they instruct you to do in the confirmation email, and my session started 15 minutes late, so it was TWENTY-FIVE minutes after I arrived that I finally began. Then, it's in what seems like a raggedy converted house in Lake City. The house is not exactly small, but the room where you actually smash things is, which is odd considering they give you glass items, then tell you not to walk across broken glass. Well, it's kind of hard to do that when the crappy instruments don't actually break things, and you have to go get them because it just batted them around. Continuing with the room, there are 3 places where you can smash things: a small board on the ground, a small board on a stool, and a tiny brick wall where things should break when you throw them there. You can throw things up and swing at them, but their bats are smashed themselves, and useless--hence my complaint about having to walk across broken glass to retrieve batted items. They tell you you can make all the noise you want, but when I was waiting for the couple before me to finish, I could hear everything they did and said, so I was uncomfortable shouting knowing anyone could hear me since the room is not sound proof or even remotely private when it comes to noise. The only good thing is that you can bring your own music and use their Bluetooth speaker. The only problem is if you choose to purchase the $8 video, THERE IS NO SOUND! How useless. Not only that, but you have to download an app you'll probably never use again if you want to actually save your video. I spent $43 (single smash + video + tip) to basically leave angrier than I arrived. It's a shame because this is a really good idea, and the execution is rather poor. read more

Yes, you can smash thing for free at home. But here you don't need to plan and you don't have to clean up. I'm not the kind of person who generally thinks about breaking things, but both times I've gone to Rage Industry I've gone home with a huge smile and all the tension in my neck & shoulders GONE. Even more fun to go with friends (as long as you trust them not to smash you.) Consider thinking about what music you want in the background... it can add a whole level to the experience.
