The only constructive criticism I have to share is the outside of my windows were left with dirt and debris from the clean along with on my back porch. The debris removal was quoted along with the inital service. It was easy enough to hose off but would have been nice to have that taken care of with the service. But a home you've been living in for a while? You know everything going on with your own house, right? Haha, not us. Now that we have been in it over a decade, we decided to have one done again. The PacNW winters can wreak havoc on any manmade structure. And all sorts of hidden things can degrade around you without you ever even noticing. Seth did a great job inspecting our house and found all sorts of fun stuff that we hadn't even noticed was going on. But beyond pointing out the things going wrong, Seth also gave us a pretty informed suggestion about whether or not we need to worry about those things now, in a year, in 5 years, etc. This has helped us immensely in determining what we should fix now (to keep the legendary winter rains out of our structure) and what we can worry about down the road. I mean seriously - how often do you go looking around your house with a fine tooth comb? Do you have a device that can test for moisture inside walls? Do you know what carpenter ants look like vs. regular ones? Do you check inside your electrical panel to make sure everything is hunky dory? This review allowed us to see into a lot of places we prefer not to go (scary attic spaces, anyone?!) and basically gave us our to-do list for 2021. Would we have our own home inspected every year? No. but every 5-10 years? Yeah. That few hundred dollars could save us a lot more if there's a problem growing that we don't know about. And we sleep better at night knowing that our electrical panel isn't arcing anymore (yes, he found that too)! Clear communication, on-time service, thorough inspections, reliable advice. Boom.

The law has been in place in Oregon for years and there was no mention of this issue. 2) He was negligent in failing to notice that a bathroom with a distinct odor was COVERED in mold. The bathroom was wallpapered, including the ceiling, in paper that was at least 20 years old. Not only did he not notice that the ceiling - on the surface of the wallpaper - had mold on it, but there was mold behind the wallpaper. It is my understanding that there are numerous ways to test for mold behind wallpaper and either he failed to take advantage of that technology or his efforts were ineffective. One only had to peel back a tiny corner of the wallpaper to see the mold. 3) Upon informing Mr. Blaha of the mold issue, and only asking for advice, he failed to return my email or answer any of my inquiries.

Since we don't routinely go up there and weren't experiencing any leaks in the house, we had no idea. Alex took photos for me, but since they aren't roof repairers, I used their photos to contact roofing contractors. The morning the Green and Clean crew (Alex and Kaelyn) came to finish the roof clean, I started getting quotes and it was looking like we were going to have to replace most, if not all, of our roof! I had every intention of paying Green and Clean to do the full cleaning job, but I did commiserate out loud how it was a bummer I was going to be getting a soon-to-be replaced roof cleaned :( . But get this...Alex called his manager himself and rang my bell, saying they would offer a *lower* price since I was probably going to have to have a new roof within a month (they would still clean, but it wouldn't be as extensive). How cool is that? I didn't even pressure him or the office to change our treatment. I so appreciated the initiative Alex took and *really*appreciated that Green and Clean were kind enough to cut us a break when they didn't have to. The service person removed everything from inside the fireplace, cleaned the glass and even spray painted the inside so it looked like new!
