Sadly for us, he hired Faber Home Inspection and we found (after we moved in) that the oven and the oven fan did not work. When I called to ask him about it he said "the oven was new so I just thought it worked." Turns out there was no power cord. Now I have to hire an electrician at $285/hour to figure out why there doesn't seem to be any electricity to it the oven fan. Also, missing GFIs that are required by code and some outside electrical outlets aren't working (which we found out when we tried to put up Christmas light). I could go on, but I won't.

This inspector was terrible and did not do a good job detecting problems with a home I purchased…read more He did not mention leaking toilets, water line to kitchen was completely rotted out and was leaking all over the crawl space and the kitchen sink did not drain properly. He also failed to mention that the whole house needs to be insulated and probably repiped. NO mention in the report at all. 56 pages and not a word about the insulation or the leaking and broken toilet. When I asked him to help to pay for the repairs that he did not see or did not mention his insurance threaten to sue me for breach of contract because I had to fix these items right away and could not wait for another inspector to look. I replaced the toilet and repaired the other for $1400 out of pocket. What good is an inspector if he neglects to find and report on issues? A blind man would have seen the leak from the supply line to the kitchen. He would refund the fee but I would have to sign an NDA, what the F is that about? I am so disappointed in him, his service and his nasty insurance agent. He can keep his $550 blood money and I will tell anyone and everyone I know about his terrible job and how I got financially hurt by his neglect.

He chose to come to my front door, passing 3 no trespassing/soliciting signs and repeatedly ringing the doorbell while staring right at the no trespassing/soliciting sign. He then decided to lick his finger and smudge the camera before walking away. Weird, but I thought this was the end of the visit and went back to my work. When the door was not answered he took it upon himself to walk up our driveway and squeeze himself between our fence and garage, at which point he's in our backyard without our permission. This triggered an alarm on my security system, so I went outside to confront him and asked him WTF he was doing in my back yard. He proceeded to yell and insult me, accusing me of being a mean person, etc. Then started yelling "F&*# YOU!" when I spoke. I continually told him to leave, as I wasn't in the mood for a debate after he knowingly trespassed and then acted hostile when confronted. Why he thought he had any right to argue with a homeowner after they have trespassed him or that he had any right to let himself into our back yard in the first place is beyond comprehension. This is all while he is wearing his company uniform with his company truck sitting out front. What hubris! After telling him to leave the property a half dozen times I advised him that if he didn't leave I'd call the cops, and if he came back and wouldn't leave I'd drag him out myself, and then call the cops again. At this point Joe did leave the property. But he needed to make his final stand and went to the neighbors right of way next to my driveway and said "Hah! You can't do anything about it now! I'll stay here all day!" I replied that he is free to do whatever he wants with his time as long as it's not on my property and I went on with my day. I don't think I've ever experienced something so odd from a supposed professional. The entitlement was off the charts, as if he owned my property and could tell me what to do with it. If he wouldn't have opened by shouting f&*# you, we might have had a conversation. I'm glad the security cameras caught the event start to finish, because I'm not sure I'd completely believe it all happened without being able to watch the video! After this experience I know if I need roof advice Oregon Roof Consulting & Inspection and Joe would be the last place I'd call.

After some research I came across Joe's website, and thought "wow this guy is as honest and straight forward, NO BS!!" We decided to get a quick quote for an inspection and thought it was the best price for the peace of mind. We were extremely pleased with Joe's professionalism, his honesty, and his great personality. I felt bad hanging around while he inspected but his wealth knowledge, interesting information, and great stories. The advice we got from Joe was worth every penny and more. I can say that even if Joe gives you the worst news possible, you can trust that it's100% truth. When I reached out to PacWest with the information, pictures, and invoices I received, they assumed no liability, did not acknowledge any mistake or missed issues, and were not willing to work with me at all to make it right. The entire front siding of my home had to be ripped off and replaced during the winter when it rains heavily every day. I was highly encouraged to move forward and get it fixed before more damage was done. PacWest continues to state that I 'waited too long' to reach out to them, when I reached out to them shortly after the issue had been brought to light and repairs were being made.
