I think I've reviewed this before, but I'll do it again. I get the Phillies about once a month on average. It has been the same for as long as I can remember it being there, 15 years at least. The sandwiches are way better than the cheesesteaks at Pat's in Philadelphia. The service is quick and the food is good. Cheesesteak, chips, and a drink for around 20 bucks. Not bad these days. I know Philly's is a Visalia staple, but I just can't get what the hype is with this place. I've tried their brick and mortar and today I tried the food truck. Food trucks that don't display any prices always trip me up. I know, without a doubt, I'm going to be taken advantage of. That's exactly what happened here. The wife wanted a Philly Cheesesteak and I wasn't going to say no. I go to order and I get told the total is $28. I ask if these are big sandwiches and the guy helping has the cook hold up a bun to show me the size. The look on my face had to be extremely unimpressed, because he quickly told me they stuff these full. No turning back now. When my name got called and I grabbed the to-go bag, I knew I messed up. It felt like the bag was full of napkins. I know the cost of things have gone up, but if I pay you nearly $30 for two sandwiches, it better feel like I have two "stuffed" sandwiches waiting for me in the bag. Instead of stuffed, I had slightly full sandwiches. I was hoping what was lacking in portion size would be made up for in quality. I was let down a second time. Since the sandwich wasn't stuffed and the filling was slightly dry, I got a DAS (Dry Ass Sandwich). That's not mentioning the fact that my Philly Cheesesteak seemed more like a Philly Steak with a sprinkling of cheese. I really hate to do this because the service was great and the ladies were very nice but I probably won't be coming here again. I was baited by their Instagram videos. Forgot to order a soda, so ordered that and that was 3.80(btw refills are not free) so basically paid 25$ for this meal. Got the food, bun was toasted very nice, warm, then I took a bite and, nothing! No flavor. It's just texture of a cheesesteak with absolutely no flavor. Fries were fine tho but man, that cheesesteak I will remember for the rest of my life as being the most bland, water flavored cheesesteak I've ever had. That just my experience though. Thing just haven't been the same for a long time. The bread has gone through a couple changes I believe and not nearly as soft and tasty as it used to be when they bought the place from Bryan, even the first change worked. I'm not sure if they even use balsamic on the mushroom cheesesteak anymore but that's been something that's seemed gone for a while. The flavor, and everything has been lost. I made the mistake of ordering these sandwiches way in advance because I thought it would take a while during lunchtime. To my surprise, the sandwiches were ready in about 15 minutes! Needless to say, they still tasted pretty good upon my arrival. They have some off the menu items that are not listed on the app. I personally ordered via Yelp and didn't see fries on the menu. When I went in, the guy at the register told me some things are kept off the menu due to availability. It must've been my lucky day because I got to take home some of the best fries ever! Their thickness was comparable to a wedge but the shape was spiraled. Odd to explain but it was delicious! Not too salty either which I prefer (both the sandwich and fries). The pricing was a bit off though, their menu had the sandwiches listed as $9 but I was charged about $11-12 for each. Also, after paying for my fries, I noticed an additional $1 was charged on my card. I should have originally asked for a receipt. I would recommend trying to place an order in person or via telephone if possible. Parking is a bit tricky, but there is a lot on the corner. Seating is very limited. read more

The prices are way too expensive. A burger was $13 alone $5 for fries and $3 for a medium soda. If you wanted a refill it is $0.50 for a medium and for a large $0.75. I see why it was empty. The prices were not shown anywhere. I had to ask what all the prices were after I saw my price go up to $42. I have tried their mushroom sub before at a church and decided I will get it again until I saw the prices of everything. I went across the street and honestly paid $21 for a kids meal and my burger which I'm fine with plus free refills. If prices were a fair price I think more customers would come in. Also you guys need meals instead of charging separate for everything. Better specials! Mention prices, let us see the prices! When I got my salad I was sad to see it in a To-go container when I decided to dine in. The place is small w/ 3 tables but there is plenty of outdoor seating. We came here for lunch and split an original cheesesteak with sidewinder fries. The meat was tender and the vegetables were nicely cooked. The roll is soft and an ok chew. I drive on Mooney literally everyday for work I always see this truck on the side next the the bail bonds place. I finally decided to stop by and check it out I got myself a little bit of everything to try it out. No complaints at all !! Last but definitely not least the Original Cheesesteak, wow so so good just enough of everything perfect amount of meat & cheese. 10/10 I definitely recommend this place the food is absolutely delicious. Going full blinders on this one. Was out in Visalia for work with a friend and he recommended we eat here for lunch. Usually I'd look up a place here on Yelp before agreeing, but had a good feeling so I took a chance and just went with the flow. Also, I'm not even gonna read what others have to say before writing up my own review. Wow. I was blown away the moment I took my first bite. I try to avoid places like Charley's or other sandwhich shops that sell philly cheesesteaks because I'm always let down. But this establishment completely surprised me. Definitely another hidden gem in Visalia that deserves more publicity. And it's definitely hidden. Heads up, it's a small restaurant so I can see it getting crowded in there during peak hours. So plan accordingly, not just for seating, but parking can be a challenge too. The food here is top notch. The caramelized parts of the philly cheesesteak is insanely yummy. The fries they serve are very unique & very crispy & well seasoned. My daughter had the mushroom Philly which was absolutely loaded with fillings in a very fresh roll which was difficult to eat only because of it's shear size. Other than a little less cheese than expected, she enjoyed every bite. Very well seasoned with great taste, I had the chicken Philly which, like my daughters, was totally loaded with fillings. I particularly like the bite sized chicken pieces which makes it a bit easier to eat since there is so much there. Again the only complaint was perhaps a little less cheese than I expected. Still the same old small place but always busy. Had their mushroom burger just for the mere fact that I saw it on their Instagram page. Well it came out looking just like the picture. Tasted amazing!!! Mushrooms were very marinated and the jack cheese was oozing. Plus they don't use ice beg lettuce but instead use Romaine lettuce. It was fresh and crisp big plus!! We went shopping this Saturday , and decided to give this place a shoot, I always like small location that are gems and support them . I ordered the original cheesesteak, my wife order there house salad with the added chicken. We place this order via phone for pick up , the guy that answered was nice . He said about 15 min and once we got there about 15 min later it was ready. First off we got our food in eat in our car , my wife open up her salad it was fresh and chicken was grill perfect , only problem they didn't have ranch for my wife she said couldn't eat it in joy without ranch .
