Ordered 20 dogs for co-workers. Was worried when I saw all the school busses.. and rain. But they whipped them out. Marked the boxes. Amazing!

$2.75 for a chili dog? Yes please

My husband grew up on these hotdogs and I finally got to try one when we came for a long anticipated family reunion... it's been ten years since he's had one and it brought back all the memories! Nothing crazy special but the nostalgia is real and I totally enjoyed it. I got mine with chili, onions, and relish and it hit the spot. Great prices, great vibes. Only bummer thing is there isn't a great place to sit and eat it--they have a tiny patch of grass with a bench that is literally on its last legs and about to fall to pieces, but if someone is there already you just need to stand in the blazing Visalia heat and eat fast! TIPS & TRICKS: * No restroom available, you need to go to one of the shops on Main Street. * $2.75 for a hot dog is not bad at all but it is a little small, so enjoy each bite!

They still have it..the best chili dogs in the west ...made in front of you...fresh delicious and so good. Customer service is awesome.

Theres only one thing on the menu , and its the best in town . Not a chili hot dog person but this hot dog was very flavorful . A bit messy but its worth it . The setting is very simple ,cute and the service is very thorough and nice. Ill be coming here more often

If you're suddenly craving some all American style grade-A chili-dogs this IS THE SPOT! You won't be disappointed with the service and quality of these chili-dogs! The Pepsi was also great! The location is awesome and within walking distance of downtown Visalia near Main Street.

Traditional old school hotdog stand the chili is OK if you like regular hotdogs done the way you have as a kid. This is a perfect spot for you.

My mil and my husband told me about Taylor's. We were visiting our Aunty Eva on my husband's side at Westgate and wanted to eat something we don't have in Fresno. My husband made the decision to come to Taylor's Hotdogs. In the 1952, a couple started a hotdog stand offering a simple hotdog with their homemade chili with mustard onion and relish for .15 a hot dog. The restaurant was then inherited by their son, a police officer from Reedley. 71 years later, it is now $2.50. I saw complaints about the price, but a chili dog for $2.50 in 2023 is not bad. Service- Our cashier was nice. You do have to pay for a cup for water, you either have to pay $1 something for a medium cup or .50 for the coffee sized cup. I had my dog bowl and asked for water, but was told I had to pay for a water cup. Then, later was told I could have asked to fill the dog bowl. Maybe the cashier didn't notice the dog bowl. Hotdogs- Small, not Costco size. My mother in law and I got 2 and my husband got 4. What sucks is no ketchup. I prefer ketchup over mustard. The buns were soft. The hotdog was small. The chili was good. It reminds me of when Kevin Malone said about his chili on The Office, the secret is to undercook the onions. I got a plain hotdog and shared half each for my dogs. My husband has been raving about Taylor's for the 12 years we have been together. I personally thought it was just a run of the mill chili dog. Cheese or jalapeños would have been great on it. Seating- No tables at all, just some benches. We ate outside on the benches. Personally, it was more of a 3.5 for me, but rounding up since it is a small business that has survived for 71 years.

This review is solely for the Root Beer Float I just had to have and it did NOT disappoint!…read more I ordered with a staff member. However, there are kiosks you can order off of or you can order via the app, or even tableside via a QR Code. He was helpful and answered my question. I asked if the Root Beer came with free refills since it was a float and the dispenser is behind the counter. He told me the Root Beer has free refills and if I wanted more Ice Cream, there would be an additional charge. I think it is the same price as buying a cone for $0.99. I can't remember, but I remember thinking I would've just bought the cone and put the ice cream in my mug & eaten the cone. I requested the Frosty Mug. I actually thought I ordered the keepsake mug, but the total for my float was less than the cost of the mug, so I knew I wasn't keeping the mug. I truly enjoyed my Root Beer Float especially after walking up and down Main Street in Downtown Visalia for a few hours in the heat. It was smooth and delicious! I couldn't resist getting the refill on the Root Beer! I made sure to save a little ice cream from the first fill. I'm glad I stopped in for the Root Beer Float! Maybe I'll try some hot food next time!

The Gold Standard of Fast Food: A&W Exeter…read more If you're tired of the "fast food lottery"--where you never know if your burger will look like a gourmet meal or something that's been sat on--it is time to pull into the A&W in Exeter. This spot isn't just a quick stop; it's a masterclass in how consistency should be done. The "What You See Is What You Get" Factor We've all been there: the menu picture shows a towering masterpiece, but the actual tray holds a sad, flat disappointment. Not here. At this location, the food is stupid consistent. When they bring your tray out, it looks exactly like the photos--fresh, stacked perfectly, and ready for its close-up. Why It Hits Different * Fresh Ingredients: You can actually taste the quality. The veggies are crisp, the buns are soft, and nothing feels like it's been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. * The Fries: Always served piping hot and seasoned to perfection. No soggy, lukewarm disappointments in these red fry sleeves. * The "Secret Weapon": Let's talk about that ranch. It's easily some of the best-tasting ranch in the game--creamy, zesty, and the perfect partner for those fries or a side of cheese curds. * The Legend: You simply cannot leave without a mug of that ice-cold draft root beer. There is a massive difference between a canned soda and a frosted glass of the draft stuff. It's the ultimate thirst-quencher. Service With a Real Smile Beyond the kitchen, the staff is always super friendly. In a world where service can feel rushed or robotic, the team in Exeter actually seems happy to see you. They're fast, they're polite, and they make the whole experience feel like a classic neighborhood hangout. Pro Tip: If you're looking for that nostalgic, small-town vibe paired with food that actually lives up to the hype, this is the spot. #hotFRIES #mouthwateringburgers #smalltownfeel #ExeterCA #GatewaytotheSequoias

While passing through Visalia we found this place. There aren't many places like this where we live…read moreso we thought we'd give it a try. Entered in to a very open and clean seating area. There is both indoor and outdoor seating options. Inside they are picnic table style with bench seating and long tables or counter seating near the windows. Outdoors was set up with table and chair patio style seating. Immediately greeted by a friendly employee and after we mentioned it was our first time there she gave us a thorough overview of how it works. One thing we really liked was the customer has the option to select their "signature" dogs or you can create your own using all the toppings they have available via a slip of paper. You just check the boxes of what you want on your all beef hot dog (1/4 lb.), a polish sausage or bratwurst. I discovered afterwards they also offer "mini" dogs, which I should have gotten because they are quite large and my eyes were bigger than my stomach after I ordered a hot dog and a homemade corndog. My daughter got a polish dog and a homemade cheese dog (like a corn dog but using cheese instead of a hot dog). I got tater tots as a side and my daughter the homemade potato chips. All the food was tasty and we'd get them all again, though as I mentioned above I'd probably go "mini" on one or both because together there was just too much food for me. If we go through Visalia again, we'll definitely return.
