failed my cars Inspection because I have yellow fog light. Even though yellow fog lights are legal in the state of Virginia. Told me my headlights are illegal even though I bought them off eBay and they are DOT stamped and approved? Something about this whole operation seemed a bit fishy I can't say I would recommend to anyone. read more

I have used Rainbow Forest a few times lately 1 for tire repair 1 for towing and the most recent for inspection and maintenance on my car. I was not only impressed with the time it took them to get to me on both occasions but the they had me ready to drive again in no time. Underwhelming is an understatement to describe my experience with the towing company. While being 2hrs late is perfectly normal not being able to find my vehicle when provided my tags is also reasonable! The catch is now I will not be able to have my car serviced today because this tow company took its sweet time in picking up my vehicle. While things happen and people can be late, I would suggest that communication goes a long way. 0/10: would not use again. read more

It was my Birthday, my husband bought me tickets to see Washington and on our way, a hole in the road zapped our tire, Mike picked us up from Rainbow Automotive and Towing, he got us to Firestone and we were back on the road! My insurance company contacted them to tow my vehicle for roadside assistance. They didn't show up in the time frame they said (90-120 minutes). I called and asked for an eta. They said they'd call back. After no return call, 20 minutes later, I called again and asked for an eta. They acted bothered by my call, and eventually said it would be another 90-120 minutes. Awful case of over promise and under deliver. Good luck if you use them for towing! read more

This company was not good at communicating their pick up times. I had to wait at home for them for a whole day to come tow my truck, only to have them call at the end of the day at say they weren't coming. This happened twice. They should have called as soon as they suspected they wouldn't come so that I was not a prisoner in my own home waiting for them. read more

Waited over 24 hours on a towing, was told twice they came and got it at two different times but they didn't. So don't waste your money

We were given the name and phone number for Rainbow Forest Automotive and Towing by our 24-hour assistance as we were traveling through the area and our car broke down on a Sunday morning. Within less than three hours, their towing service had towed our car to their shop, took us to the airport to rent a car, and we were on the road again. We were apprehensive leaving our car at this unknown shop, but we had no alternative as we were on vacation. They had our car fixed by Tuesday afternoon and we were able to return the rental car and be on our way back home again. We were also concerned about how much this unknown place would charge, but we felt like it was very reasonable given the amount of work that needed to be done. Thank you Rainbow Forest for helping to salvage our vacation when we though all was lost with car trouble. read more

Rainbow Forest Garage is the most honest garage around . Ive had my vehicles repaired there many times and never had a problem with the quality of work or the professional manner of the buisness owners . Their mechanic is top notch and very friendly and great guy . I dont know these people on a personal level but can say they are very professional and their mechanic explains in detail whats going on with your vehicle and if he sees you out in public he always speaks to you or waves , as he has no reason to duck and hide as other mechanics have to do in the area that do shoddy work . I highly recommend Rainbow Forest garage over any garage in the area .Ive lived in Botetourt county for 45 years and know who is the best and honest so if you need quality work on your car or truck take it to Rainbow Forest .. read more

When I moved to Blue Ridge, I had to return a U Haul trailer, and find a reliable mechanic. I found both in Rainbow Forest. David, Billy and all the rest are friendly, fair, reliable, and thorough. I just used their towing service for the first time--fast, friendly and David knew exactly what I had told the driver the night before. I moved and now live an hour and a half away, and still go to them whenever possible! read more
