Our waiter and food were good but the management here is not very accommodating to large parties. In a place where large families gather they seem to take joy in splitting table up with great distances in between. We will be eating in town from now on when we come here. Which is a shame because we stay for 10 days at a time and would rather eat here for obvious convenience. We are usually a party of 18-20 and understand being split in different tables for distancing. But we are told tables of 10 are ok. So why split our group into 3 parties of 6 and put us all on opposite ends of the restaurant? Two tables of 9 would have worked and as close to each other as the other tables we were sat next to would have worked. And we always call way ahead. Me and my boo were road tripping and stopped in Paige. There's absolutely nothing in that tiny town except this gem. It was such a great dinner with a gorgeous view! The music was the best I've heard from a restaurant! I had to mention it! They even played Frank Ocean-Pink&White. Modern tunes but still great for the environment. Service was excellent, food and drinks were delicious, and price was reasonable. Amazing view, okay food and hilariously sad service. We watched our waiter (who never even introduced himself) check in on other tables with a sunny disposition and manners. This place is the only restaurant in Page that we could find that offers a Sunday Brunch. I made reservations for us. The restaurant had about four tables seated the whole time we were there. We asked the hostess for a window table overlooking the lake, as they were all empty but one table. She informed us that those tables were for tourists only . By the way, they were empty the whole time. We had the buffet but even we got up to the buffet, the eggs bin had scraps as well as the quinoa bin. The hostess failed to inform us that there was a girl making omelets on the far side of restaurant. We never had a server until the very end when we asked the hostess how we get the bill and pay. We had to chase down the hostess to ask for a Bloody Mary. She said she'll have to ask the manager to make them. Which he did. So it was my 2nd time here and every time I had bad experience here. The first time we were staying at the hotel, when we arrived there, there was no table 'ready' by the window, although we said we could wait until the tables were set but we were convinced to seat in the middle section (you know those middle section where the floor is raised so that you are higher up) and were told that the view is better over there. My boyfriend was convinced and he liked the view there where you can see more, however I like to have a closer view, so we had a 'not so' happy experience at that time because of that. The second time we didn't stay at the hotel, we went there pretty early and the restaurant was not even half full, perhaps 20, 30% full, we are a group of 3. We made reservation ahead of time and have indicated that we would like to sit by the window, however, we were told that table by the window cannot be reserved and they are first come first serve. We were led to a table where 6 people can sit, in the middle of the restaurant, not the raised section, and we can see that there is one table by the window available but they just like to use any excuse and reason to refuse seating us by the window. I also felt so bizarre that we were seated at a table for 6 people, so I asked if we could be seated in the raised section, the answer was NO, again the tables are not set up there, whatever we ask, the answer is always NO. I am so upset that I asked to talk to the manager, I think nothing makes sense here. The manager came after 'sometime' and he told us the table by the window are for larger group!!!! Isn't it first come first serve?? But I told him that the 2 tables right next to that empty table are 2 couples respectively!!!! I don't know what's wrong with me or the restaurant or the host, but I just cannot be seated to the table I want. The most annoying thing is they gave me different reasons which is so confusing. Long story short, eventually the manager seated us at the empty table by the window after I have lost a lot of my brain cells. It certainly ruin my day and my mood. The food is so so and the service is not nice either (our server seems to be not having a good day as well). Well, when the check came, it is a 18% gratuity, if given a choice, I will give much less. In conclusion, the view is unique and fantastic, but the food and service is bad. I think they like larger parties. It could be a romantic dinner. Me and my buddy's went to this place after a long day on the lake, we were tired and starving and just wanted to eat. We arrived to a beautiful view of the lake, and then were seated. The waiter came over and told us how the water was from the lake, and left. 10 minutes go by and he comes back to order are food and drinks. 1 hour goes by and no sign of are food. They finally bring are food almost 40 minutes later. We were there till 8pm to almost 10:30pm. All I can say is the service was HORRIBLE and the food was ok. The views are INCREDIBLE! We saw this place on yelp and seeing the great views were amazing. To get to the restaurant you must pay a park entrance fee. The hostess told us we couldn't seat by the window, as apparently we didn't have the right type of "reservation". Menus were printed on a standard A4 sheet. Unfortunately they must have ran out of ink in the toner, as some weren't even printed properly. Our server couldn't get the order right. Dishes were delivered as starters instead of entrees. Not even the water was topped up through the dinner. Had to reminder there was a soup. Quality of the food wasn't much better. The soup was as salty as the ocean. Absolutely one of the worst restaurants we have been to and poor food quality. Yes, the views are nice. Save yourself a headache and maybe go for a drink or check out the views and that's it. We ordered the burrata and prime rib. We literally couldn't cut thru the prime rib, it was chewy and warm at best, the mashed potatos tasted like they sat all day, and the burrata plate was disgusting. Very disappointing breakfast buffet. Really looked forward to this breakfast while enjoying the incredible view. Ever bit of food on the hot buffet was cold. I went back to the buffet when I saw new pans being brought out. To my surprise it was still cold. There were no cups for coffee. When we first arrived their were paper Starbucks cups but they were not restocked when empty. Paper was not what I expected. No indication of which coffee was decaf. Server was not attentive to removing used plates. Maybe it was a bad day but it was my only chance during our stay so it is my only impression. read more

The views are amazing. The food here is terrible. Currently there are 2 different dining choices. They have a contract with your companies that allows you a choice of salmon, prime rib or heirline chicken. We did not have this option. Our option was the buffet. $26 for dried out, flavorless, food. My drink didn't come out till after my 2nd buffet plate. We found out that the resort, especially the kitchen, has had 2 chefs quit within a week that hAs left the staff gasping for air. And it shows! Between the service and food, I'd skip this place. Rainbow Room is located inside Lake Powell Resort. If you're staying here, it's the most upscale, elegant restaurant the resort has to offer. It's located right in the heart of the lobby. Although they do offer breakfast and brunch, I was just staying here for the evening and came for dinner. Btw, for breakfast I drove outside the resort and ate at the Ranch House Grille 10 minutes away in Page. I give that place 2 thumbs up for their family atmosphere and monster sized omelettes! Rainbow Room has an enormous and picturesque waterfront view of Lake Powell. It's what makes this place so special to dine at. If you'd like to come here for dinner and witness a gorgeous sunset, I'd absolutely recommend making reservations for the busy dinner rush times. I dined here late evening 8pm in October and still made a reservation just in case. I did wear slacks and a buttoned down shirt. Jackets aren't required. So although it was late and the views were no longer there, I still found this place to be unique especially after having a wonderful day exploring Page and Lake Powell. The menu is extremely simplified consisting of a few appetizers, salads and entrees. I had the pork tenderloin and it was delicious! The potato puree that accompanied it was fantastic along with zucchini and squash being nice compliments. I cleaned my plate, lol...it was that enjoyable! We also got the vegetable polenta and it too was cooked perfectly....both dishes were really delectable! Along with getting a couple of cocktails to start and our server being very friendly, the Rainbow Room left us with a memorable dining experience from our stay at Lake Powell Resort. If by chance you are looking for other dining options on the grounds of the resort, here are a few... Driftwood Lounge - pub fare, appetizers, snacks and is a cocktail lounge type place. It's located right near the Rainbow Room Latitude 37 - offers indoor and outdoor seating, casual with burgers, sandwiches and salads on their menu. Wahweap Grille - another casual option offering pizza, burgers and chicken sandwiches. Wind - just a coffee bar in the lobby area. read more

Restaurant is very nice and the view is amazing. The food choices are slim but there is a good variety. We had 6:00 reservation and it wasn't very busy. We were a little early so we went to the bar. The bartender wasn't very friendly...we felt bad asking for extras like napkins or a glass. "Drive by" service is what I call that. When we were seated, our waitress came over and she too seemed rushed even though it was dead in restaurant at that time. She didn't engage at all. Off she went Three of us got our food and my husband's didn't get his steak. When it finally did, about 15 mins later, and we were well into our meals, it was chewy and okay. Waitress dropped it and off she went...didn't even come back to ask how it was or apologize for delay. She was actually rude at times. We are usually very understanding about COVID, and staffing issues but this was all about her attitude. We were in town for some Lake Powell boating and our friends were staying at this hotel. This was actually the only hotel that we were able to find that would let us make a reservation on open table. My reservation was set for 7:45 but two of my friends requested for 7:30 but we asked to all sit near each other if possible. Our group arrived the latest and I went to the host and told him my name. He said there was no reservation and wasn't very friendly about it. So I showed him my email confirmation. He made a comment that it didn't matter and said something about losing the reservation if you are more than 15 minutes late. We were only about 10 minutes late so we told him it should still be ok. Again he wasn't very friendly. He was kindcod rude. If he haf said something along the lines of ok yoy have a confirmation, don't worry we'll sort this out... Or something, but instead he told 5 tired and hungry people that it didn't matter that we had the email and when we protested he said that we should relax or something along those lines. It was definitely not the best way to resolve the tense situation. Then he said that one ofcus could go look for our friends to see if they had room at their table for us. I was super frustrated with how he treated us, but luckily there was enough seats for us. The host is the first vperson to represent the restaurant and it should be their job to be friendly and helpful. The server, Heather at my table was amazing. We told her that we were stuck out on the river earlier and all of us were severely dehydrated and tired. She made extra effort to keep our water glasses full. She was funny and friendly even though we could tell she was very busy. She checked on us often and even answered all of our annoying tourist questions. She really turned the whole experience around for me. She's a definite asset to the restaurant. She made great recommendations for us! I had the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked. And my very well deserved glass of malbec was an excellent accompaniment to the steak. My friends highly recommend the short rib and BLTA pasta. One friend ordered pork chop and loved it but another said it was a little dry. One of our tables did have a fair amount of trouble though. I was one of the last to arrive but was well into eating my salad before that table even received water or was asked for drink order. I know its difficult when several large parties are sat together, but you can't neglect a whole table of people. I would probably return, because food is good, location is right and for the most part staff seems ok. But Rainbow Room, I think you can do better! read more

Had a tour dinner here as well as a breakfast. Both were free so take it as you will. The breakfast, now knowing the price is a bit expensive but it isn't bad at all. Good omelets and home-fries. In terms of dinner, it started with a pretty generic salad. Afterwards, you had a choice between chicken, steak, or a veggie dish. The food reminded me of most wedding food but slightly better. Dessert was a tuxedo cake with some overly sweetened raspberry sauce. The food was alright, wish I got to try the good sounding short rib however. read more
