Been looking for a spot like this for a long time that I can find all plants that I wanted in one place! Everyone there was very nice and knowledge and made sure to ask if you knew how to care for plants. Everyone there was so sweet. Elton was very knowledge and I made a purchase based on his recommendation the calathea rattlesnake. They do have a parking structure behind their place that they validate for an hour! 4.5 stars! I had seen this place floating around on Yelp for a while and finally decided to visit when I read they carry some hard to find plants. I was really impressed by the variety they have here given how small of a store they are. I like that they have labels on all the plants with the name and pricing (unlike Kim Thai next door). I also found all their pricing to be extremely reasonable! My favorite part was their planter section! Their planters are some of the cutest I've seen around town for such great prices. I also had a really great experience with the cashier who was very friendly and helpful during check out. The only reason why I'm docking off half a star is because of the lack of social distancing inside the store. The store is very small with very limited space and narrow aisles to walk through. Unfortunately the store hasn't put into place any measures to limit the number of people inside the store at a time (no lines to get in etc.) and because of that there's WAY too many people in the store and most people don't socially distance. I was standing off to the side looking at a plant when another female customer walked right up to where I was to grab a plant with ZERO spatial awareness. Unfortunately I felt really uncomfortable with the lack of social distancing inside and decided to check out ASAP. While I appreciate that they require mask wearing, offer hand sanitizer and have a plastic curtain separating you and the cashier, the biggest downfall is just the sheer crowd of people inside the store. I did go on a weekend so maybe a weekday would be less crowded. Because of the lack of enforcing of social distancing, I think I'd only attempt to come here during a weekday in the future. However, overall I do highly recommend this store if you are looking for some really affordable houseplants and planters! I much prefer this place over Kim Thai due to the transparency of prices, quality of their plants, and their overall demeanor towards customers (I didn't feel like they were always trying to push me into buying more things, unlike at Kim Thai where they are a bit aggressive). read more

Honest, knowledgeable and caring staff. Nice selection of plant pots and beautiful healthy plants. Parking validated in garage next door. The entire vibe of this store is happy and chill. I called in advance to ask if they could re-pot some plants. Elton said he was happy to do so and quoted $5; he also said he would discount the new pots. This was definitely worth me not having to buy multiple huge bags of potting soil for the different plants and then trying to figure out where to store extra dirt in my tiny apartment. When I arrived, Elton said my plants did not need to be transferred to new, larger pots. The reason the plants looked "wilted" was because I was not watering them enough. Ahhhh. I was so grateful for this honest feedback. We had a lengthy, thoughtful discussion over whether my snake plant/Sansevieria was going to make it...the root system was no longer tightly interwoven and several of the leaves were pretty limp. We decided to put it into a slightly smaller container and he supported the long leaves with bamboo stalks -- meticulously tying the leaves to the bamboo support stalks. Hopefully, in a few months, the plant will be able to stand on its own - crossing fingers!! I was also looking for a small aloe plant for a tiny pot that I had (from a previous aloe plant that didn't make it ). He didn't have any small aloe plants, so he gave me a "pup" from a huge aloe plant and he re-potted it for me. How nice is that? I also purchased another beautiful snake plant/Sansevieria (which he re-potted in another of their mid-century modern pots). He gave me some fertilizer for my plants, extensive tips for watering and helped me carry everything to the car. This is my new favorite store - I hope it will be yours too. read more

I ended up leaving with plenty of goods and knowledge that some would consider me as a seasoned botanist. Not really, but the staff here really knows their products. Went to this place on a whim as I was trying to find some plants for my office. Elton was very friendly and helpful. He showed me some plants that are great for the office environment as it helps filter the air and can survive in low light conditions. They have a variety of plants to choose from. They also have some cute modern pots. I purchased 2 small snake plants and they are only $4 each! He's so knowledgable, friendly, and really goes the extra mile for his customers to make them feel special. Rainbow has a wide / cute selection of planters & pots at amazing prices. The selection is pretty decent and, again, prices are great as well. However, they don't have a TON of plants onsite since their space is a bit tight, but Elton offers to send you a pic and notify you when he gets the plant in stock again from his warehouse. I brought them a huge Chinese evergreen and a snake plant and they helped me split it up into 10 smaller plants, potted them for me, taught me how to water, fertilize, and change soil. They have standard plants.. but some rare stuff too (Hoya Fishtail, Monstera Peru, Anthiriums, etc)!!! Obvi those were a little pricey... but that's to be expected! I ended up getting a Hoya Krinkle and a Peperomia Hope! I was debating on the Black Jewel Orchid... but I decided to not get too crazy! Staff here were SUPER helpful!! This is the first time I have ventured to buy plants to both decorate and freshen the air in my apartment. We came for the stellar reviews and as soon as we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth. But their sincerity translated to every detail of our experience. From educating us about plant care, asking us about if we have pets or how much we could care for the plant, and even bringing out multiple plants for us to choose one after deciding the species we wanted, despite how busy the store was. Both Elton and his brother were so kind and I felt like they wanted to ensure we got a plant that would last with us. I don't know if i should say this bc i don't think its standard but we were so in love with their potting, plant, and pots that we ended up buying more than we thought, so we were able to work out an amazing deal where they potted and delivered for free. They didn't even accept my tip! We went to a few plant Stores in korea town and hollywood, and also searched online, but the price, customer service and quality/ beauty of this family owned store is truly insurmountable.
