Great prices and the biggest selection I've ever seen. It's almost like an attraction, they have giant sandals you can sign and take photos with and a free popcorn machine! :) Service was nice and friendly, although you are on your own to finding the sandals you want. Almost overwhelming because theres different variations on every sandal in every color. They have mats where you can try on your size, and I would recommend trying the colors you are debating to see what looks better on your foot. I actually changed my decision after trying on shoes. They also had really unique ones that I've never seen before, including platforms and whatnot. They split the store into two sections- one for womens, and one for men and children. Definitely worth the drive here because of the selection you get to see on hand as well as the variety and prices. I bought a pair and the strap pulled out in less than a week. I brought them back and after 3 weeks I got them back in the mail, repaired. This time they lasted 3 days before the strap on the other sandal pulled out. I was told if they broke a second time they would replace them, no questions asked. So back to the factory store I went. I was told they wouldn't replace them because it was the other sandal. Employees were rude and inefficient. I love rainbow sandals. I've been wearing them since childhood. They are super comfortable sandals and I've never gotten a blister or been rubbed the wrong way (hehe). PLUS, mine seem to last forever. I did buy a pair of red ones once and sometimes the red would come off on the bottom of my feet and top (where the straps are) if the sandals got wet - and they get wet a lot since I go to the beach a lot. Normally I get the tan or brown ones and with those I've never had a problem. My favorite sandals right now are the tan hemp ones. Super comfortable! I love buying my sandals here because they are always less expensive than buying it in stores. They also have sales sometimes too. PLUS, there is such a large selection of sandals here for men, women, and kids. They have a small private parking lot, but there is usually plenty of street parking. I actually did not know that the Rainbow sandals are originally from San Clemente, and this location is the original flip flop factory, however, they only are able to make a minimal amount every month. It says it's a factory store, I'm not sure if their prices are that much cheaper than buying them outside of a rainbow store (nordstrom..etc). There are A LOT of options for men and women. I actually didn't know they made kids and babies slippers, and also have shoes and boots for adults. The staff is really helpful. The prices in general, for flip flips can be considered a little $$, but considering they back their flip flops with a lifetime guarantee (as long as you don't do anything stupid to ruin them), they might be worth it. We ended up getting two pairs, and after wearing them all weekend camping, they're broken in and have easily become my go-to and favorite pair of flip flops. read more

Wasn't a big deal, I can still wear them but wanted a new pair anyways since I've had mine forever. First off, the place is super neat, looked like a hut, a super cute hut. The staff were great and always there to answer your questions. First off, the regular price is already discounted but wow in the middle of the store was a huge selection of clearance items. We used to go here all the time for discounted Rainbows and now it's just the same price as Amazon, so why bother. We got 2 pairs anyways and noticed after we had purchased it and had it adjusted that the sandals had huge scratches and fraying on the sides, then the color did not match, wish we noticed sooner! We were still in the store, when we saw how bad the sandals were, but cashier stated that all the sandals are handmade and there are flaws. He refused to exchange or help in any way. It's truly sad when even Rainbows customer service has changed, can't stand behind their product and can't accommodate long time customers. Couldn't find the blue leather rainbows -sadface-. "Seconds" is a most appropriate definition of the sandals here, I found many of the sandals I tried on to either have one strap tighter than the other or tighter than normal or the angle was off and your foot when placed in was crooked on the sandal top or the sandal if held up and viewed from the side was bent in a couple areas. Still functional. Just...imperfect. so...seconds they are. Parking is what I'd expect on an old town beachfront store. Not a real parking lot, just space in front of the store enough to fit a row of cars and the sidewalk is like 2-10 feet from your bumper. I got honked at from behind by some unruly individual while right turning into the lot, jeez louise, chill mon! beachlife! due to tax calculations or rounding or some BS, the total for 1 single/1 double showed up on the cash register as $83 but when the credit card machine spit out a receipt for me to sign it charged me another penny. He was pro-active checking his out, he wears them more than I do. He saw a tear, I checked mine out and saw good! Went on vacation and that was all I brought. Just randomly looks like the glue came unglued and mine were broken, so sad one of the straps came up. He just went down and picked a pair up a week before just in case. I did not. Horrible customer service! I ordered a pair of sandals off of their website which stated they were in stock. Couple days later received an email stating it was on back order and to call them. After calling them only then was I notified the item was discontinued and I would not receive my order and the only option was a refund. If you're forcing me to cancel my order I shouldn't have to reach out to you to get my money back. A courtesy call would've been nice. Long time rainbow wearer but I'm done. They are still fine and dandy, but near the ankle part of the sandals are going through to the top layer so I decided to go to the Rainbows store to get a new pair. Traveling down from Irvine didn't take too long and traffic was not bad =) PROS - LOTS OF VARIETY! It's a store filled with different kinds of Rainbows in different colors and sizes. - CHEAPER than other retail stores. I got my first pair at the mall for almost $55 - My friend paid for my new pair as my early birthday present, but it was only $40 with tax included - The staff are friendly and they seem knowledgeable and friendly - The store is clean and layout is easy to follow; separated by Mens/Womens/Kids CONS - It's easy to miss especially if you aren't on the look out. It's RIGHT after you turn - The parking lot is a bit small...hopefully there's not a lot of people there when you go! Final note: What can I say? I love my new Espresso-colored single-layered Rainbows :) Happy birthday to me and my new pair! If I EVER need a new pair again, I will come back. Finally checked this place out after having friends buy me sandals from here the past few times. I've had my current Rainbows for 10 years and they're starting to crack through the back heel. It's located only a couple minutes from the 5 freeway and there are 5-6 parking spots right in front of the store, but ample parking on the street the store is located on. Lots of their various styles and colors and some handmade versions only sold at this location. As you walk in the have framed sandals that people have worn until they were barely usable. Also, there was complimentary popcorn to snack on as we walked in. I love that there are various styles and colors, but ended up getting their original double layer sandal since the single layer lasted me for almost a decade I figured the double layer would last me twice as long. read more

Super comfortable. First if all, as a PT, I appreciate good quality sandals that are not just fashionable but functional... These shoes mold to your feet and if they arent too loose and fit right, will save a lot of neck and back problems without breaking the bank. On average the sandals were between $30 to $60 - maybe $15-20 below reg price... but there was a few on clearance or half off original pricing. Overall I found that there was a lot of options to choose from for women in terms of styles and colors. The men's section didn't have nearly the selection that's the woman's did, and the kids had maybe 3 or 4 styles to choose from but either way, its easy to walk away with at least a pair or two. Happily, I am a size 5.5 and I can fit in size 2-3 in kids! Customer service was great. Super professional, friendly, and never pushy. They also pointed out which section was old discontinued styles vs ones with slight defects. Would definitely recommend stopping by here if in the area! read more

An outlet store specifically selling Rainbow anything and everything?! Sign me up Scotty!!! My girlfriend and I have tried on coming here several times on a weekend coming back from SD but never make it on time since they close pretty early on Sundays (around 4 or so). We FINALLY were able to get a free weekend to make it down in the area and check the place out since she was in dire need of new rainbows and I was ecstatic to get my first pair. Parking is a bit of a pain since their private lot only has less than 10 spots, but there was plenty of street parking nearby around the time we went during a Sunday. The moment you step into this store, you're greeted by a popcorn machine and an environment that makes you feel like you're in Hawaii. No matter what wall or direction you turn, nothing but rainbow sandals or foot wear, it's CRAZY! seems like they have twice the amount of women attire than men, but that's okay because us men are very simplistic creatures... or I am at least. The discount you get here may not be too drastic, but I think saving 10 bucks on a pair of perfectly good and new sandals that will last you several years isn't too shabby. As I was walking through Fashion Valley I came across a Rainbow Sandals kiosk and had to stop and check out the flip flops. I was told they were $45 and was a little thrown off. $45 for FLIP FLOPS!! LOL As i continued to show an interest in the sandals the young lady told me about the store in San Clemente. She said I would be able to get them at a better price if I went there. The shop was supposed to close at 4:30 and as we pulled up running in they told us they would be staying open longer since there were still quite a few people in the store. Being from Kentucky, I had never even heard of Rainbow Sandals until I was in LA and visiting a good friend from college. She said how great they are and that they are definitely the new "in" thing. So on my way from LA to San Diego I stopped by. Luckily I was traveling during the day because the hours are not that friendly here. Only open until 4:30 in the winter and 5:00pm in the summer. Prices are fair and selection is good - I say this, but please keep in mind I have never seen Rainbow Sandals sold anywhere else :-) I went there with my boss to exchange some sandals that were too small for his family. The exchange process seemed to be painless. DH needed new sandals as his 6 year old one was finally falling apart . Found out about this place. Drove 45 minutes just to get new pairs. These are definitely cheaper than buying then in the stores. They were only $33 for the single layer sandals and $36 for the double layer. The employee told me that the double layer ones are more comfortable and supports the arch. These are not did in the normal stores. I bought 3 pairs total (2 doubles and 1 single) for $105! :) Tip: after you decide on a color and size for the sandal, try on each sandal because some of them are more comfortable and fit differently width wise. ** Make sure to try on the sizes! I have to return my DH's because they were too small in width Service: the employes are very helpful and knowledgable. Location/decor: cute shack that is decorated with cool colors outside. Inside is very well organized. Parking: they have a small parking lot in the front but they have additional parking in the back.
