My shopping experience at Vans Mission Viejo has got to be one of the best! I walked in just this browsing and knowing that Vans has excellent quality and products I wanted to see what was new. I was assisted by Autumn, Bekah, Noa, and Timothy but primarily Autumn. What a sweetheart! In fact, every listed made me feel welcomed and appreciated my business. The selection of Mary Jane shoes are impressive and I still get to have the "Vans" vibe that I love. I love their accessories and picked up a canvas tote as well. Fantastic store experience all around! read more

For whatever reason, Vans remain popular among kids so if you need a pair, this isn't a bad location. They have a decent selection and the service is about as good as you get from this type of store in the mall. read more

For how busy this location always seems to be when I'm here, the employees do a great job at getting to everyone and helping them out in a very timely fashion. Checkout can get a little slow because of lines & only 1 or 2 registers being open, but nothing to really cry about. Honestly, I'm always very happy with my shopping experience at this Vans store. Keep up the good work! read more

This is the one in the Mission Viejo mall. At the other end of Nordstrom so be prepared to walk if you're going to shop for you and your kids. My son is amassing a shoe collection of vans so of course they have the best selection. On top of that they have a sales person for every customer so we were able to get what we wanted quickly even though there were plenty of customers. They are trained well in customer service - so made it an easy and quick trip to get what we wanted. Cool store too! read more

Beware-VANS are supposed to last only 1 season, which is 3-4 months!!! In August, 2019, I bought a pair of VANS shoes (SK8-HI Pro-Blackout 000VHG10J120m). The price was $100 + tax of $13 (Canadian currency). The shoes seemed to be quite sturdy and comfortable, although not as flexible as similar shoes that I had worn previously (Reebok, Adidas or Converse). I wore the shoes mainly during my 6-week long vacation from mid-August to early October, 2019 and then I started wearing them in early March, 2020. Unfortunately, very quickly the shoes started to deteriorate. The eyelets began pulling apart and each shoe had a big hole. Although I tried not to tighten the laces, the rips (in both shoes) kept getting bigger. In May, 2020 I contacted (via e-mail) Vans Customer Service and described my problem. I was quite surprised by the reply: "Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or products damaged by uncontrollable factors (misuse, accident, unauthorized modification or modification). This same warranty is also limited to one season following the date of purchase and proof of purchase is always required in all applicable cases. After strongly evaluating your inquiry, I'm afraid it falls under the statements mentioned above and would not be covered by our warranty." I didn't agree with the reply--after all, over the past 30+ years I had had about 15 pairs of similar shoes made by Adidas, Reebok, Converse and other companies and they lasted at least several years--and cost from $45 to $75, less than the VANS. Besides, I actually used the shoes for 2 months outdoors and for another 2 months indoors while working--since my work is sedentary & at home, there should not be much impact on them. So, I wanted to know how "one season is defined". I also attached several photos of my shoes. I found the reply quite preposterous: "One season is 3-4 months. Your purchase being made 10 months ago is unfortunately out of that warranty coverage and can't be replaced." Had I known that the shoes were to last for just one season, defined as 3-4 months, I would have NEVER purchased them in the first place! I do not remember EVER having shoes (including slippers, clogs or even flip-flops) that lasted for 4 months! So BEWARE before you shell out your money, as your purchase may have a very short lifespan! Nevertheless, I had the shoes mended by a shoemaker and wore them occasionally for another 3 months. Believe or not, a big rip appeared on one of the shoes (at a different spot than the previous ones) and it's getting bigger! To say the least, I am VERY disappointed with the quality of the shoes--yet I am even more dissatisfied with reply I got from the Vans Customer Service department. Obviously, I will NEVER AGAIN buy VANS shoes--after all, dollar-store clogs have lasted longer than VANS shoes! read more

This was my first time going into this location and it was a really great experience. Maddison was helping me find shoes and she really went the extra mile to show me options in different colors and also called a few stores for me because I really wanted these specific shoes and they unfortunately didn't have my size at their store. I swear she went back and forth so many times for me and my bf and I felt so bad but she did it all with a great energetic attitude and reassured me that she didn't mind. And the other employees were great too and made sure they checked up on everyone, but not in the annoying way. Great location with great customer service. read more

Ok Vans you are a great company . 1 PROBLEM I see which is a simple fix. I made some custom shoes which I love . I want to re-order them and you CAN'T. What is the point of having an account when it shows past orders I see that complete shoe on my past order but I can't click reorder. This will save Vans and me time. Now I have to find that old picture redo the entire shoe then submit it and wait 48 hrs to see if the picture is approved again . Mean while during this Covid 19 of course there is a lot longer delays. So It would take a person about 2 minutes to add that as an option . That way the costumer doesn't have to wait and Vans makes more money with no effort at all. It's a win win . read more

I went into this Vans store and found them to be very attentive and very nice. When they brought out the pair of shoes I asked for I tried them on and noticed a white spot on the shoe. Unfortunately this was their only pair in that size, but they offered to call their Irvine Spectrum location to see if they had the size I needed. They did have my size, but the worker thought to ask if there were any white marks on those shoes. And the Irvine store said there were. So he saved me a trip to Irvine only to encounter the same problem. All the while another worker was cleaning the pair of shoes they had and were able to completely remove the white spot. He said it must have been extra glue that dried on the shoe. I ended up buying the shoes. These workers went above and beyond to help me. Great customer service by Chester, Richie, and Sean! Thank you guys! read more

If I could give them a 0 I would! Always loved Vans! Been wearing them for 7 years! Got a bad pair, tried to take them back after 1 week of wearing them because they had an issue. They said sorry, can't help you! The manager was super rude! Last pair for me!!! read more

I have had the best retail experience with this team. Super excited my kids are now getting to the age that they like Vans - and it gives me the chance to wear them again. I recently purchased some sandals for my daughter to wear after soccer games and made the fatal error of taking the floor sample for the mate...and didn't realize until we were on holiday. I phoned the store apologizing and asking if they could find the rogue size 3 mate and hold it until I was back. I believe I spoke with Austin who was the NICEST most customer service friendly sales associate I've ever encountered in my +20 years working at various levels of retail. He apologized and said he'd find the shoe and hold it - and was just sincerely so nice. And then when I came in a week later, the staff was so nice and guess what - the shoe was waiting for us. Just all around great service each time I'm in there and this particular visit was exceptional. Retail is not dead people - this is why we go to the stores. Nothing can replace the human experience. read more

Very knowledgeable staff, willing to go above and beyond for their customers. Fantastic customer service.

Thanks for the great experience. I was surprised to see that the female manager was getting shoes for me. She was very helpful and had just as much work ethic as the other employees. I left a happy shopper! read more

I came in to buy a pair of shoes today, and some girl with long purple fingernails and a bad attitude was giving me and a few other customers in the store some pretty unsatisfactory customer service. She was rude, blunt, unenthusiastic, and definitely offputting. I know, work is work, but TRY to act like you're not burning me alive in your head, it's not like I was any trouble. read more

Customer service is great. Bought a few shoes for now. But I will be back Next time I will have to leave earlier they close at 7.

What ever happened to customer service at Vans Shoes? Tonight I went with my son to the Mission Viejo Mall and we stopped in the Vans Store to try on some shoes. First of all, the store was playing the most ghetto music, which was so annoying. A young girl greeted us as we entered and was helping us at first and then a guy came out and brought the shoes. He just put them on the floor and left. We asked one of the girl's for another size and she brought them out and handed them to my son. We spent most of our time lacing up the shoes, which I thought should have been done by the sales people or at least someone could've helped us. The whole time she was standing in front of us with a list in her hand, checking out the shoes on the shelves and ignoring us. We paid for the shoes and were asked about giving a donation to help kids learn to skateboard and surf. I don't mind helping people with a donation but with all the disasters going on in the world, this is the only contribution they could come up with...REALLY?!!! To say the least, it was not a pleasant experience. I certainly hope Van's can do better than this, as there are so many retailers going out of business these days. read more

The assistant manager at this Vans location was one of the best managers I've ever had help me. Our dog had gotten to one the shoes we had just purchased the day before for our baby. My husband and I weren't sure what they would say on the phone, we expected a "tough luck." The assistant manager spoke with me on the phone and was beyond understanding. He told me to bring the shoes and receipt in and he'd get us a brand new pair for our baby that day. He was super personable and friendly. I left thinking how nice it is that there are such good people in this world! I will continue to shop at this Vans and be a loyal customer thanks to him :) read more
