My 9-year-old daughter and I had so much fun at the Rainbow Slime Museum in Kansas City! It's not a huge attraction, but it was packed with hands-on fun and definitely worth a visit. There are lots of different slime stations where you can play with slime using both your hands and your feet. Brooke especially loved the basketball area with the dried slime balls--it was such a unique activity! We also had a great time creating our own custom slime to take home. The staff was friendly, everything was colorful and interactive, and it was the perfect mother-daughter activity. If you have kids who love sensory play, slime, or just getting a little messy, I highly recommend checking it out! A fun, creative experience that earned 5 stars from us!

Wayyyyyy overpriced Girls age 8 and 11 had fun and made slime, but we were done in 30 minutes and it cost $68.

My spring breakers got slimed! Fun space that gets those creative juices flowing. An immersive experience for all the senses and my pre teen was in utter bliss. Walk in the slime river, explore different textures, shoot some slime hoops and then head upstairs to make your own. Scent, colors, mix ins and textures offered for a one of kind play time for all ages. Tools for mixing and play to avoid dyeing hands is a plus. Being a lil chilly outside this was a perfect way to enjoy some indoor fun. Staff are super chill and nice. Parking garage close by and lots more adventure awaits nearby at crown center. $12 to get in, add $13 to make your own.

I didn't expect to enjoy this place like I did. You usually think things like this are for youth but I throughly enjoyed my time playing around in slime. At one point it became a stress reliever for me . The space is cute , fun and engaging! It's clean and well kept . I love that they have everyone sanitize coming in on the inside . I can't wait to bring my kiddos to enjoy it. I can't wait to see them expand the space and add in more with activations.

What a fun place to experience slime. Giant containers of slime of all consistency to play with. Lots of squishy fun upstairs too where you can build your own slime to take home. Have you ever wanted to walk through slime...you can have this chance in the river of slime. Be a basketball star and shoot baskets with a ball of slime.

One of the many slime types you can try.

A fun addition to Union Station is Rainbow Slime Co. This place has two levels filled with slime fun! Downstairs, there are several different slime types for you to try. You can also, step into the Squish Zone (a slime pit for your feet) or shoot some slime hoops in the Goop Hoop area. Upstairs, you'll find two slime bars where you can get creative and customize your own slime with colors, scents, and a variety of mixins. The slime bar is an additional cost, but worth it. Upstairs, there are also two party rooms. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Such a cute spot.

Rainbow slime was so much fun for our group! I highly recommend visiting and making some fun slimes of your own! I think my favorite things were the slime river or the slime basketball!

These steps are slippery and dangerous!

Let's get right into it It is my grandson's fifth birthday, and the place that proclaims WHERE IMAGINATION OOZES did absolutely nothing to stimulate ours. First, the website makes no mention of the slippery floor, which is an accident waiting to happen. It is not cute; it is dangerous. There is no information about a specific shoe or grip sock to address this hazard. Next, the site promotes a 'wildly immersive, multi-sensory exhibit' with slime pods, creative activities, and a walkable slime river -- but where are the creative activities? The slime pods are used by many different hands; that can't be it. Booking time slots seems unnecessary, as there's no indication they are used for disinfection or cleaning. The Slime Bar is filthy, with no posted directions (Ex. there's a spray bottle labeled activator on one of the tables), no sanitation, and no coverings on the table edges--dangerous for children. As three moms own this place, safety should be a priority. The only redeeming feature was the watermelon slime. The so-called Slime Walk is hardly a walk; it's more like a stationary slime station, about six feet long. They provide wipes--though nowhere does it specify they are antibacterial--for your feet before entering, which is utterly disgusting. Hygiene is non-negotiable. This place is a colossal, glaring disappointment. Update Erin D., I see you read my review but only responded instead of valuing feedback. I didn't mention a "mess" with slime. Part of my review is about the cleanliness and sanitation of the place. Update - Natalie, do not call my daughter again. How unprofessional of YOU to think you could ask her to ask me to take my review down! I will NOT be removing my HONEST review. Take time to reflect on the feedback and improve.

I'd advise taking care with fish- they use RO water, so drip acclimation will be necessary if you're on KC tap water. The Pygmy's cories I got from them were healthy, but they needed a slow acclimation to be put into my quarantine. They're now in the display. They're knowledgeable about their fish and plants (I'd assume salt water as well, but I don't have a saltwater tank, so I can't say one way or the other). The plants I've purchased from them have been great, except for one buce brownie tissue culture that melted and hasn't come back, but apparently my tank doesn't like buce, because I've tired multiple times, and buce melts and never come back, so I don't fault them for that. Their plants are nearly always in good shape and happy. I did buy some downoi that was super leggy, and so I trimmed it to use only the best of it. It's there, in the tank, and I'm watching to see what it does. But the tissue culture of the downoi I got from them really took off, and is propagating just fine. Their cost is in line with online sellers when you factor in shipping. I'll continue to use them. I've been pleased with the knowledge of the employees and their locality.

First thing's first, if you are just wanting to visit the Aquarium you'll still need a ticket to the Zoo, as the Aquarium is just a part of the larger Zoo experience. I love this too, FWIW. This Aquarium, while top of the line, is not really intended to be a stand alone attraction, and in my opinion is not really large enough to merit a full day. It's plenty big and impressive though, if you are working it into your KC Zoo trip. What's great about this aquarium is that for the size and price you get to see sharks, sea otters, eels, jellyfish, and more! To a small kid it will feel massive, and even to an adult there is plenty to charm and awe. I love that during the heat of summer or the chill of winter there is a nice sized space to get relief from the elements, and there's always plenty of staff inside to answer questions. It should also be noted that hands down this is the best aquarium in KC. It blows SeaLife out of the water and is a much better value - in short, just support local and go here if you are on the hunt for an aquarium. All in all, this is a good Aquarium for our fair city.
