I feel like 1-3 is a good age range for the equipment they have, but it's also been a few years since I've been so I'm not sure if anything has been upgraded or changed. They technically close at 3. Arrived with 10 minutes til 3pm. And was told they would be closing. So make it in before so that you can be there until 3:30pm when it says online. What a great space for families!! The play section was blocked off so that the children had a specific space to play, lots of options for age ranges allowed, even had a smaller baby area to be away from the bigger kids. The cafe is so cute and had delicious treats and healthy options..the bathrooms were large and clean. Loved the little space they had for tables and chairs for parents to sit or for crafts. They rent out the space for parties and activities, and they also had a performance going of music when we got there. Even with the children playing it was a peaceful and quiet environment. Had lots of dress up options, personal sized "bikes" and a little playground. You pay for your reservation and the ladies were so gracious to us even though we were running late to our time slot. read more

This cafe is not geared to my demographic. Would I go back for the coffee? Yes. It is a unique place for parents with young children to visit with adults while the children play. The coffee bar is really good. I ordered my usual unflavored latte with Oat Milk. They use Messenger coffee. I like their ice. Small crushed ice. They have healthy snacks like cheese. This might be a good place for grandparents to bring their grandchildren. They were steadily busy in my short visit to pick up a coffee. read more

We attended a Bluey event at My Play Cafe Lees Summit, we took our kids and nephews. They had such a fun time playing in the well curated play area, devoured the snacks and loved seeing Bluey! The wonder and amazement in their eyes made it all worth it for me. My play cafe is very clean, the event didn't feel crowded or overbooked. We really felt cared for by the owner. I tried the boba tea - definitely recommend the taro flavor ;-) This was our first event experience and we would definitely come back! read more

With 2 small children who move at 2 completely different speeds, it's been difficult to find activities that can keep both of them happy and entertained... then came My Play Cafe! My Play Cafe is conveniently located off of 3rd Street in Lee's Summit, across from the QuikTrip. Not only do my 2 babies get a safe place to play, but this exhausted mommy also gets fresh Messenger coffee! A play place with a coffee shop?! A dream come true. We've recently made a group of mom friends and we use My Play Cafe as one of our weekly meet up spots. My 2 year old LOVES going to the "special muffin place" and won't play until she's devoured a jumbo blueberry muffin. My 8 month old enjoys the padded baby area where he can practice his crawling. They also host cute themed events (we recently went to a Mommy and Me Brunch) and they continually support local businesses and are active on social media. Absolutely a 5 star experience. read more

The setup is cute but small. A lot of Melissa and Doug toys and equipment. The staff wasn't unfriendly the day we went but wasn't friendly either; just seemed overwhelmed despite there only being a couple of families there. It's a little pricey in my opinion for what it is but was fun to check out with my 2 year old granddaughter. read more

We LOVED this place. We visited here on our road trip across the US with our kids and all I can say is I wish that these existed in every city across the US. This is a goldmine business model because parents can relax and enjoy coffee while socializing. The kids have lots of imaginative, open ended toys. This is a great place for both adults and children! You can come in for the cafe only or you can bring your kid to play while you hang out and drink some coffee. They offer different types of coffee, tea/boba tea, snacks, vegan pastries, etc. The owner Tiffany is super nice, she remembers your name, and is very helpful with any questions you might have. They have a play area just for 18 months & under where everything is soft and safe for the smaller babies. There's a larger open area with a slide, cars, different hands on toys, which I think is great because it gives them a break from technology. Everything is very clean and sanitized often, even during these times I felt very comfortable bringing my baby here to play. The play time is 2 hours and it's $10 for children over 1 and free for infants and parents. I thought my son would play for maybe an hour, but he played almost the whole time and had so much fun with all of the different toys. If you decide to come more often, they offer memberships for $40. They also have different classes throughout the week and host birthday parties. If you're in the Lees Summit area, I definitely recommend stopping by and supporting a small family owned business! read more

My wife and I came here yesterday around 2 in the afternoon with our 10 month old and I have to say we are very happy to have discovered this place. It was super clean and very spacious, so plenty of room if busy to social distance. There is a good variety of toys and playground equipment that your kids won't get bored. Our son who just started walking a month ago was running all over the place with excitement. There are several gates so you don't have to worry about the little ones escaping and making a run for it. They had a good variety of drinks such as coffee and boba tea. Which was mice that we could just relax and have a drink while the little one played. Definitely would be a good spot for a birthday or get together with friends and their kids. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for anyone with small children. read more

It was our first time coming. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. My two boys had a blast playing freely without me having to stress or worry as much as I do in other public play places. It's a great feeling knowing that your kids are having fun and are in a safe, clean environment. My husband and I ordered from the cafe and both of our drinks were delicious! They were also sure to make sure my toddler's allergies were accommodated with such thorough direction and care- you could tell that mattered to them to make sure our experience was allergy friendly! read more

I experienced My Play Café for the first time this week and brought my baby. Pros: The staff were lovely and play area clean. After reading about the memberships I also think the prices were pretty fair. Cons: The Boba pearls were not cooked all the way and were dry/gritty on the inside and the tea very weak. It's totally possible this was just an off day because I've read wonderful things otherwise. My other concern was that in the 18 month and under section, several three-year-olds continually came into the area to play despite the gate. This was unsafe for the little babes as the older ones were jumping and bouncing around. Unfortunately, none of the employees noticed my or the other mother's discomfort. After waiting a bit we quietly mentioned it to an employee and they immediately assisted. The younger employees that I saw were very nice, but in between welcoming the new guests and cleaning, they pretty much stayed behind the counter on their phones, not paying attention what was going on. Overall I liked this place - I know it's a lot to manage and I don't want to harp on a good business. A few things were negative but overall a pleasant experience. read more

We had my son's fourth birthday party here. This place is AMAZING! Every detail is thought of to make your time enjoyable and to keep the cafe and play areas clean and organized and, most importantly, fun -- from the shoe cubbies to the QR code to check in, to the safety gates to keep kids in the play area. And the play area for babies is just the sweetest! Bonus: the coffee is ACTUALLY really, REALLY good. Tiffany and Brian have done an amazing job making this establishment enjoyable for both kids and parents. I hope this business thrives! This place is fantastic! Everything has been well thought out from the toys provided, the separate play area for 18 months and under, the drinks and snacks on the menu, to the bathrooms. For the last few months I've been coming here with my 3 year old and one year old. We all have a great time every time we come. There is a wide variety of toys from rocking horses and the slides, to puzzles and coloring supplies. Some days my kids run around and are really active and other times they want to sit at a table play with a puzzle and eat a cinnamon roll. I also had my one year olds birthday party here which was so easy! You can get there 30 minutes before your party, and there were 2 party hosts there that helped put up decorations and set up food. They helped keep me on track during the party as well. It was so nice to not have to constantly check the time and just enjoy. The party being somewhere my kids were already familiar with really helped keep them from being overwhelmed and they were both able to play and enjoy the time as well. read more

My Play Cafe was great for our two years olds party. It's a safe place for small kids to play and made the party planning completely stress free. Tiffany and Trinity helped set everything up for the party and I didn't have to worry about clean up afterwards. They even washed my serving trays for me 10/10.
