Rainforest Cafe is a pretty cool restaurant to dine at. The Cafe creates a one of a kind dining experience that mimics the rainforest by use of decor, lighting, motion, and sound effects. It is always a treat to visit the restaurant. The staff were great. The food was good. I ordered the grilled pork chops with plantain. This carribean inspired dish was very filling. The pork chops were well seasoned and the plantain were very crispy. My son enjoyed his burger. Definitely a good place to checkout if you are in AC or near another location.

Ambience 5/5 Food 2/5 Service 3/5 Came here for dinner while visiting Atlantic City and luckily were able to be seated without a reservation! They made it seem like the restaurant was full and almost made us sit at the bar but when we got inside there were many empty tables. We tried the Korean fried chicken lettuce wraps, and the Korean stirfry, both of which were kind of meh flavor-wise. We also got one of the mocktails in the souvenir cups which was not worth $16! The only redeeming thing about this place is the ambience, with the rainforest decor, "thunderstorms", and animatronic animals - we did feel transported and it single-handedly saved the evening when food was lacking.

This was a fun spot to walk around on the boardwalk. We did not end up eating here, but enjoyed the ambience, shop items, and a few photo ops outside of the café!

This place is obviously for tourism but it's such a classic. We enjoyed the interior design and thoughtfulness put into decoration. The thunderstorm was also a nice touch. The service was fast and they even have someone taking pics and offering it to you at the end (they still give you a photo if you say no to buying the pics!). The food was okay, the sandwich was a bit dry but I wasn't expecting anything too crazy. The pasta was better though. Def worth stopping by if you've never been or have kids tbh!

My first time nice atmosphere. I called ahead to make reservations for 9 I was told you can just walk in no reservations required for lunch. The staff was nice seated right away. Nice variety of food on the menu. The food and drinks was prepared quick everything was good. Great service.

I planned on coming here due to it being a place my parents use to take me when I was younger so I wanted that nostalgic feel. Upon entry the host in the front was on her phone and I asked her if they serve breakfast here to which she said "no, we serve the same thing all day, every day. With the way, she said that I should've known something would've been off, but I still wanted to have that nostalgic feeling so we continued to get seated by the waitress. She sits us down in kind of a random area. There's a total maybe five maybe six of the tables that are being used. I wanted to sit by the water fountain, which was about two or three tables away we asked if we can be seated over there and she said she would have to go and check surprise that she gave us that response because the restaurant was very empty at that time and it was fairly early still in the morning around 11am ish . We just moved the stuff to that water fountain area. She came back and said she was unable to move us and we will need to be seated back where we were. We were two tables down, and confused asked for some clarification. She stated that the waitress wasn't there to serve us when looking two tables down we saw another group eating by the water fountain she said that was for another waitress that was doing that area. Didn't really make any sense to me and being so unaccommodating in a restaurant that has almost nobody inside, made the experience very uncomfortable and we left before ordering anything - yeah it's a shame. It's a shame because this is a spot that we were looking forward to eating at even though their menu options were limited. Half a star and that's only because I have to give it something. I do not recommend and unfortunately will not be coming back.

This is my third time here and I must say the second time was terrible but this time baby third time is a charm I guess the food was DELICIOUS ! We popped in for lunch on Good Friday without a reservation and was seated , from the looks I would definitely make a reservation because it was starting to fill up fast .. I don't know if they changed the chef or the time of day but it was way better this time around the food came out hot and everything was good . The ambiance was beautiful as always it was loud but we were still able to have a conversation . Our server was great as well I forgot her name unfortunately from this visit I was definitely recommend . If you're hungry stop by for some good eats . Happy eating

Wow! I was in AC for half marathon weekend. I have a rule during vacations to avoid chain restaurants bc I like to support locally owned. Due to time constraints I had to break that rule and head to Rainforest Cafe. Glad I did! Between race weekend and the Stevie Nicks concert, they were SLAMMED. Yet everything was 5 stars! Despite those working the hostess stand being overwhelmed and surrounded by waiting guests, we were greeted very warmly and treated with kindness and humor. Our server was fantastic...efficient and kind. He was very respectful of the hurry everyone was in and stayed calm despite working more tables than I could even count! Having been a server for almost a decade ... I can only say this is impressive! Food was a little slower than typical but not bad and to be expected considering how busy they were PLUS pumping out to go orders like nobody's business! My friend ordered the steak dinner and I'll be honest that the steak was overcooked and the steak itself just average esp since she described how she wanted it down (pink all the way through). Let's be real though...it's not a steak house. Rest of her meal was good. I ordered lasagna and mashed potatoes (maybe weird if you don't run half marathons lol). Both were large portions and the lasagna was some of the best I have EVER had. I had enough of both for leftovers which almost never happens, bc I EAT. As far as ambiance...it's the Rainforest Cafe. Obviously cool. :) Finally....want to call out that I noticed the manager helping at the hostess stand and answering the phone (maybe taking to go orders?). It's always awesome to see a manager helping FOH when they're slammed..as they should. :) Thanks for making pre race dinner experience great!

I have heard about the Rainforest Cafe before but never actually visited one until recently. The restaurant was very spacious and as you can imagine rainforest themed with animatronic animals and other rainforest decor. The menu had quite a few options that was reasonably priced and the meal portions were adequate. The staff we interacted with were pleasant and prompt. I would recommend this restaurant to others visiting the boardwalk.

Taste of the Island - Seafood plate

When my boyfriend found out I have never been to a Rainforest Cafe, he drove us all the way to Atlantic City from NYC for a day trip, and took me to the restaurant for my first time. Apparently it is an iconic experience, and I think it was pretty close to it. As soon as you enter, you are greeted with a ton of greenery that makes you feel like you just stepped into a jungle. There was a huge moving elephant, monkeys, parrots, snakes, and a fountain around a statue of Atlas. And a rainbow! Every couple of minutes for couple of minutes, the whole place would come alive with sounds of animals like in a jungle. It was pretty dark inside, but I guess too much light would ruin the experience. I don't know. We each ordered a drink and a Seafood plate called Taste of the Island which comes with "Caribbean Coconut Shrimp, mango habanero glazed shrimp, jerk seasoned tilapia topped with pineapple salsa, island rice, seasonal vegetables." I was excited we got to keep the glasses as souvenirs. Food was average, but no complaints. Service was pretty good as well. Nothing really stood out to me, besides the decorations. On your way out - you could visit the gift shop. I love that they sell pins, so I could pick one up for my collection. I enjoyed myself, so I can imagine it must be a pretty fun experience for kids!

    Gift shop

We visited this place thinking it would be a cool experience. Boy were we wrong. Everything in it was very cheaply put together. Not even the little ones were impressed. Food was way overpriced and not that good. I don't mind paying good money if the food is worth it. Service was not great either. The entire atmosphere was horrible. The only thing good about it was the gift shop. Don't waste your money here.

The rainforest cafe is an iconic experience that you at least need to try once. You walk into what looks like a jungle with animatronics, sounds, smoke and water. The kids will definitely love this, but as an adult all you can think is... how do they dust all of these things? The temperature inside was hot and uncomfortable which may have just been from the outside that day. You walk in and can sit at the bar that looks like animal legs which is fun and silly. It is quite dark inside and if you have anxiety it is a lot for sure. They sell their promotional cups with frogs and parrots on them. And do have a gift shop up front. Our waitress was attentive and polite. They had many iconic drinks and ICEEs for the kids. The menu did not have a lot but was okay. I ordered the Bimini chicken sandwich. It was really good with the hot honey sauce on the side. The coconut curry slaw was so different and enjoyable. The beast burger on the other hand was overcooked and dry. There was not much flavor to it. The experience itself was nice especially if you have kids, as adults probably will not go back. But definitely worth it for family fun.

Does anyone know about vegan friendly options available here?

I didn't see any as I recall on their very limited menu. I would look up the menu not many choices at all.

Do they have their own parking?

    Nope

WOW - what a great surprise, this was!!…read more I have been coming to Atlantic City (with my Boomer Dad) for about 15 years now. 4 times a year, again and again. Mostly we eat in the hotel sadness (the horrible restaurant choices that are inside most of the hotels now). I had come to accept that most of the food out on the Boardwalk was equivalent to 'Carnival Food'. That's not necessarily a bad thing - just a thing thing. Since the pandemic, the food options get slimmer and slimmer. There was a new pizza place that had just opened up in Ballys, where we were staying - where the old Guy F shack used to be. And, I was excited to try it today. Except . . . like most of the other miserable options inside the hotel . . it is CLOSED Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. My father suggested Johnny Rockets (Always a winner - delivering on consistency over the years) - but we eat that every time we come here, and my nephew and I really had our hearts set on some good pizza. I googled in search of the Best Pizza on the Boardwalk. I know there are some highly recommended places just off the Boardwalk, but I don't know this area and I prefer to stay on the main drag. That said, AI suggested Forno. Mentions of fermented dough, and fresh ingredients. Highly recommended was the quality cupped pepperoni and the stracciatella cheese. I decided to take the gamble, since I was in Atlantic City. Was about a 10 min walk from Ballys. . towards Tropicana. Don't be fooled the many imposters in the way. Make sure the sign says Forno. The cashier was great. Super friendly and well informed. She spoke with pride about the pizza, which is a super good sign. She recommended one of their specialty pizzas ( I forget the name). It had pepperoni, tomatoes hot honey and stracciatella cheese with hot honey drizzled. Pizza was made fresh and fast. About 12 minutes. I needed the slices split in two boxes, and she was more than happy to accommodate. And let me say . . . Those Pizza Boxes are the most amazing Pizza Boxes I have ever seen in my life. Very high quality boxes, for a pizza. I was a little concerned that they might be so focused on these great boxes, that I would be let down on the quality of the pizza. I WAS NOT LET DOWN. That was an absolutely amazing pizza. The crust was this some kind of crunch-chewy you might expect from a real French baguette. OR a NYC Bagel kinda chew. And with the fire grilling, the burnt areas of the crust were TO DIE FOR. Was a bit worried about the hot honey part. I don't mind a sweet item (thinking pineapple) on a pie once in a great while . . .but was not craving that tonight. Not to worry - they nailed it! They have the hot honey drizzle down to a perfect science to balance the pizza out. I will be back, every time we come here. And next time, I want to try the homemade fried mozzarella! Whole Square Pizza cost us about $40. Worth every penny out on the Boardwalk. PS - really wish I took a photo of this pizza. It was amazing. It looked so delicious and we were so hungry it was gone in minutes. We are tired of the options in the hotels. The pizza place in Ballys (next to the sub place) SUCKS. It's like frozen Ellio's or worse. We get the rent is high on the boardwalk - but at least deliver on quality!! Forno's Delivers!!

Boom! Terrific option on the boardwalk in Atlantic City! Sneaky amazing pizza! Go there! Thank me…read morelater.

The food here is excellent! It took awhile to get waters, but our dude got around to it eventually. The salad was cool and fresh but the olive oil and lemon dressing was pure oil. No worries, I used the ranch from the wings and all was good. I liked the shaved Parmesan and the fact that someone took the time to slice the tiny grape tomatoes, precious. Every bite seemed to melt in your mouth. Staff were friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. For dessert we got the sticky toffee pudding (upon the waitress's recommendation) and the chocolate sin cake. Both were amazing. The price of our adventure was just under $500 -including tip- for the three of us, which we expected.
