This carwash has been shut down several times this year, 2023, for problems and maintenance. When I first retained membership I liked the price and everything, but the part that cleans the side and back of my car is broke so it is dirty on the rear end. I tried the one in prospect and today the compressor is down and was told "to give us 30-40 minutes " before trying back. I try to call the Devonshire location and the phone message is "to leave a fax...". Can't connect with any person using 1999 designed website and it isn't "smart"using a smartphone on the website. Right now there is a line down to Devonshire drive of cars waiting to get in line. The people I have met in person do seem helpful though. Update: 01/18/22 404pm. Devonshire did have one working roller brush that hits the side and backside of your car and it did some decent cleaning. However the prospect wash has two brushes that hit the side and the rear. Fast forward 10 years later and they've gone downhill, vacuums hardly work, tire shine has become non existent and it barely cleans the car. took my truck in for a needed wash and it was damaged and they're balking at fixing it even though it happened while I was on the track after being guided in by an attendant. The Manager jumped into his truck and took off, called two days later and said that he bets that the video would show something hanging, it didn't because nothing was hanging as verified by the attendant who guided me into the Carwash. Asked for a refund and they asked me to wait while they fixed it. Told them I was going to Prospect location - they told me to tell the guy there and they would rewash it for free (yeah, right). BEWARE I would give a 0 rating if I could. Don't get the premium service that includes the wheels. Their machines will ruin your rims. We took our car through and one of our rims has a huge gouge in it which will need repaired. The car jolted when the mechanism engaged so we immediately informed the manager on site. We were told to expect an email response. Then they told us our rim was damaged before we got there. It was not. We were treated very rudely by the staff. I have spoken to multiple people since then and they have also experienced the same with their rims. In reading some of the other reviews we have also experienced the same issues. The car is not completely clean or the blowers don't come on. This has happened multiple times. We will not be going back. read more

Went through with a basic wash yesterday. The water to rinse was barely trickling out, leaving my vehicle covered in soap. I had to drive to another car wash with self serve bays and pay more money to re-rinse and dry my vehicle. I also noticed marks on my hood that were not there before. The ONLY good things about this place are the polite staff on hand and powerful vacuums. I'll be sticking to other, touchless car washes from now on. read more

What is it with this place? I signed up for their monthly membership which includes bug prep and after wash amenities - but they claim that due to COVID they had to stop offering those services. I say that due to COVID, they are using that as an excuse and cutting costs. Give me what I signed up for and paid for -- not just the bare bones minimum truly subpar carwash. They don't return phone calls or answer emails either. So save your money and go to SuperWash in Savoy instead. read more

Paint damaged during the car wash. I found scratches on my paint. It is probably due to chips or small rocks in Brush. When I contact their customer service, their manager said they are not responsible for the paint damage, insisted that "at the entrance, there is a sign outlining the types of damage not covered by Rainstorm Car Wash, including "Scratches Inconsistent with Brush Motion"." I am not sure whether adding a sign saying "not responsible for paint damage" would legally exempt them from car damage responsibility. But I will follow up with them when I have some time. read more

The worst car wash I've ever been to. I decided to give this place one more chance yesterday. There was NO WATER! The brushes worked, the lights worked. Save your $15. Sure, the upgrade removed the bugs from the front of my car, but I was left with horrible water spots all over my car and mirrors. Maybe it's clean, but I just exchanged bugs for water spots so it doesn't feel "clean" to me. Waste of money. read more

Having moved back from Chicago, I had my share of car washes. Used promo for free managers special wash which was listed at $20. Comparable to up north minus the hand dry and no touch free. Car was covered tire to roof in dried road salt and all of it was washed off. The free detail cart and vacuums also were nice bonuses. The detail cart had window washing fluid, "all purpose" cleaner and bug remover. Cloth and air fresher also on cart. The monthly deals seem to be best value. Will return and possibly do monthly subscription. read more

They advertise recycled water, pride themselves on the fact, they remove the solids dirt, etc through centrifugal force however in the winter time when the roads have been heavily salted, the recycled water has dissolved salts in it which is very corrosive to a vehicle. I don't care how many hours they have been spinning that water you will never remove the salts from the water unless you distill it or use an electrolysis means. read more

i would also give a 0 rating if i could. i bought the fast pass for $5 to start and had it for about 6 months. the wash in bloomington il is horrible leaves soap on the car and water spots and never dries good. i only kept it to go to peoria it works great. i went to the bloomington one this morning to find that i couldnt get through. the attendant told me it was cancelled, i asked him who cancelled because i didnt. he said he didnt know. when i told him i wanted to reinstate it he said i had to pay the now $20 to start it. this is simply a way to get more money out of people. he was very rude and i will report them to the bbb. read more
