So hard I couldn't cut it open!

Oh not sure what these are, but absolutely not bagels! Please note the attached pictures... seriously I don't understand what keeps this in business? I make better bagels at home. The cheese bagel was so hard, I couldn't cut it when I got home. Sadly wasted hard earned money. Tossed these out. I can't recommend this place, shocking they are in business!

Craving a cup of coffee and bagel ? Look no further in Lewis county. The coffee was fine nothing to cry home about but a nice combination with my hot stuff bagel. Nice flavor. Had some heat to it and fresh avocado so that was nice. I only wish the bagels had the New York or San Francisco vibe. I think it would bring wow factor to the meal. But overall not bad. Owners were super friendly and enjoyed talking to them about the past. Definitely a must try.

This place is amazing. Their bagels are delectable and the CHOICES are something else!!! Plus an amazing juice and smoothy bar. I wish they would make all my dreams come true and add Açaí bowls to their menu!!

Was driving from Portland back home to Seattle and got a bit hungry enroute. Found Rainy City Bagel Shop online and it sounded like a win. Just a few minutes off the freeway and easy to locate. It was definitely a wise decision! Walked in and was greeted by very friendly staff. Placed my order with some helpful suggestions and was on my way just a few minutes later. Sandwich was very impressive and really delicious. I will 100% be back again next time I'm passing through.

I love cafés, especially finding the local ones, and I was really looking forward to eating here…read morebut I was sadly disappointed. We ordered 2 rice bowls (hot honey and teriyaki chicken). Both were bland tasting. The hot honey sauce didn't taste like hot honey at all (more like Frank's sauce). The coleslaw didn't go with the rest of the dish at all. It just wasn't the right combination. We also waited a while for our order (approx. 20 mins). Not sure what the hold up was despite the place being empty when we dined in. The server was nice, though, and there is plenty of space for large groups. Outdoor seating available too. Overall, I likely won't be back.

I was starving and looking for something I could eat on the go, being a vegetarian seriously limits my options there, so I decided to be brave and try this spot since it was close to where I was. So glad I did!! It's a funky spot, lots of seating, super friendly staff, very clean. Bonus. They told me to expect 20 minutes for my sandwich but it was ready in under ten minutes, double bonus! The sandwich. Omg. Slightly ground and blackened chickpeas, super fresh arugula, super fresh tomato, an amazing sauce served on the softest ciabatta bread I've ever had. It was amazing - absolute perfection. And it was all wrapped up nice and neat for easy, on the road eating. Served with a bottle of water and bag of Tim's chips. This all made me very happy - give them a shot for sure if you're in the area.

I had the Pesto Caprese pizza and it was amazing! The balsamic glaze added just the right amount of sweetness to bring together the different flavors. My husband had the NY steak and said it was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and told us how all the ingredients were locally sourced, which is very good to hear because we like to support local businesses. Lastly, the building is quite beautiful with the exposed brick interior walls. I'm not familiar with the local history so I'm curious as to what this building was originally? We will definitely come back and also check out the market next time.

    ### So Bad It Was Almost Comical…read more My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our drive from Oregon to Seattle. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.
