I ordered a Kid's Cone of Old World Spumoni because it is a flavor that is hard to find. In fact, it had been decades since I last had it. The ice cream cone size was generous. This was my first time trying Umpqua Ice Cream. It was pretty good. The customer service from Michael was excellent! The store interior consists of two rooms and a window facing counter. There's also a bistro table outside. The tables and chairs were made by the owners. Whether you live nearby or are looking to take a break from highway driving, this is a nice stop. The ice cream is good, but not great. I wish they were selling Snoqualmie Ice Cream or Acme, both of which are made in Washington and are far superior to all three of the Oregon branded ice creams Kalama Cone sells. If I had an ice cream business, I would stay away from selling ice cream brands that can be found in most grocery stores. I say that as someone who drove an ice cream truck one summer.
