I've been to several Raising Canes and this location is awesome! Great spot for it not another raising canes for miles lol The staff is really friendly, they are awesome. Attentive and my order is always correct! I've ordered in the app and also visited the location and it's clean , lots of parking and fast! My food has always been great, so far no issues. We always order the caniac to share and also add a toast and extra canes sauce! That sauce is lit! I always get extra sauce! Definitely a guilty pleasure for sure. McHenry County finally has a Raising Cane's! Today is their Grand Opening and it was great. All the balloons and prizes of a true grand opening. Thank you! I stood in line and got the privilege of ordering a Box Combo: four chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, TX toast, caniac sauce and a fountain drink. Paid for my meal. Took my cup and filled it up with their delicious iced tea! When they called my name, I grabbed by to go bag. At the door I picked up my free T-shirt (first 100 combo orders). Went outside to the games tent to fill out a raffle card and spin the prize wheel. Raffle drawing is for 20 people to win free chicken for a year. All the employees were happy and friendly. First time at a a RC's. Ordered the 4 piece Chicken Fingers Combo. Slaw, 4 C Fs, Fries, Texas Toast and tried the Lemonade. Also RC's Sauce. Slaw was a bit dry and had a sour taste. Tossed 3/4s of it. Chicken Fingers were just "blah". Could not taste any chicken. Breading was "okay". Fries also were quite "blah". Lemonade was very weak, quite watery. The Texas Toast was excellent. The Raising Cane's Sauce had a disgusting, unidentifiable flavor. (Made the mistake of ordering 3, but that was in addition to one that came with the meal. So paid an extra 39cents each - $1.17 straight into the garbage.) Service was quick and the Server was friendly. The Men's Washroom was clean. Good parking lot with relatively easy in and out. All come with crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, slice of Texas toast and choice of fountain drink or ice tea. ( they even substitute fries for your coleslaw or bread or vise versa which is great because I didn't want the cole slaw and got extra fries instead). There is only one dipping sauce flavor- and it will not disappoint! This place puts Chik- fil-A to shame!!!! Really, ZERO competition there! Chicken tenders made fresh and not greasy tasting or greasy when eating with your fingers. I also purchased a gallon jug of their tea to go. Drive thru took about 45-50 minutes but that is expected on day 2. Worth the wait~ employees are friendly and happy to be there! First time hear, because I've heard good things. So I got a combo meal with a drink and it was good not awesome. So right away the aroma was killing me. Tried the garlic toast first and when I see a restaurant that says garlic toast, you better bring the garlic. Unfortunately, not even close to enough garlic. Bread was moist but needs way more garlic. Tenders were real chicken, but when you stack them on top of each other, there goes that crunchy texture you wanted because the moisture coming out of the hot tenders is making the coating soggy. Fries were crinkles, my favorite, but a little salty. And loved the fact you had hot sauce for the tenders, but you need some more sauces. read more

I said to the girl I have no Idea what Im getting help. She suggested the combo I then asked what sauces do you have she said we have 2 in home sauces made every day. Sauce made ever day okay order 2 of each. Now when I first took a bite of the chicken I was expecting your usual overly salted chicken thats close to inedible from a southern chicken place. You know the oh god they put too much chicken in my salt. (Mind you my motto is try stuff before you sauce it because if its a good cut or spiced right sauce will hid the flavor.) I was surprised its bland, then I thought oh dear what did I just pay for, I tried the sauce and it tasted much better. I have to chuckle Ive definitly made bland food etc to show case my sauces. I was really surprised that a fast food place would use this style but I like it. Its kind of cool because the style of chicken is perfect for someone on a low sodium diet who loves fried chicken. Because you do not have to add the sauce. Definitly give it a go just dont forget the sauce and get extra otherwise you might be super sad. Meh. Chicken and sweet tea are both OK, fries were underdone and a bit soggy, and the sauce they seem so proud of is underwhelming. Wasn't expecting to only have a choice between a combo or a party tray, either - you can't just order chicken & fries if you don't want a drink. Overall the food doesn't live up to the prices. Our experience was definitely not made any better by the hair my wife found cooked into one of her tenders. Not very appetizing. The batter on the chicken is light and not too salty, which is nice, and the only thing that saves Cane's from 1-star territory in my book. Tried this today for the first time. I'm a pretty big fan of chicken fingers, so this was a must-try for me. First and foremost, the price is ridiculous for what it is. $14 for a "meal" that has a decent amount of food is way too much for a fast food joint to be charging. I can literally go to any restaurant on 14 and spend that much for fresh food. The tenders are flour-based, whereas most restaurant style are fritter-style. The flavor is bland, I'm assuming because they expect you to drench your chicken in that gross dipping sauce they give you. It's a Mayo pepper sauce with maybe a pinch of ketchup and vinegar. With that being said, it's not bad quality food. It is fresh. The fries & fingers are made to order and actually still got when you get home. The coleslaw was actually pretty good too. My overall experience was just 'ok'. They've been open for 2 months now, so my experience should be fairly standard at this point. I got the box combo with 4 tenders, cole slaw, fries, garlic bread and a drink. Menu: Don't expect variety; they do chicken tenders ONLY. Sides are coleslaw, Texas toast, and crinkle cut fries. The menu highlights combo meals excessively and come with 3, 4, or 6 tenders, each with more sides. There is a chicken sandwich combo but it's just 3 tenders and some lettuce in a bun which barely does anything to break up the boring menu. Every combo comes with a drink. There is a kids meal and catering options. So in total, there are 4 combo options for adults There is an 'a la carte' menu which also includes the sandwich. However, the layout & design of the menu tries hard to steer you toward combos. Individual chicken tenders are listed in the 'sides' part of the menu but it has zero emphasis and easily missed. If you want tenders only, or with just fries, you can get it. I did not realize this until just after I ordered my combo. Ah, oh well. Chicken: Honestly, I was impressed. If there is anything they did right, it is with the tenders. Standard fast food tenders are often dry and battered too heavily. These were cooked just right and were very juicy. The batter was near perfect and not too heavy, similar to a sit-down restaurant level. The flavor of the batter and the chicken is pretty standard. No surprises. That's a good thing because this is where sauces would come into play. Sauce: Everyone likes to dip their wings and tenders in sauce, right? I had a choice between Caine's sauce and ketchup. I didn't see any other options. No ranch, bbq, wing/hot, honey mustard, etc. The Caine's sauce was good. It reminds me of a tangy blooming onion/awesome blossom sauce, but without the horseradish bite. Not having bbq or other sauces to dip into was quite annoying. Crinkle cut fries: Just about all crinkle fries I have had elsewhere are just like this. Same size, texture & consistency. Most of these were soggy and not really good. I didn't finish them. Texas toast: I got bread with a light dusting of butter and garlic. Not a lot of flavor and zero 'toast'. The bread was thick, soft, and fresh so it wasn't a complete failure. Cole slaw: Decent sized portion, but lacking flavor. It wasn't very tangy or creamy so what little flavor it had, quickly left your mouth. The cabbage was cut into squares instead of being cut into strands. It was crunchy and fresh, but still felt mass produced. Very meh and others down the street do slaw better. Sweet Tea: I love sweet tea so anyone who emphasizes theirs as being 'famous' gets extra scrutiny. This is fast food sweet tea and probably close to McD's. Like other fast food sweet tea, there is a lot of sugar but you can still taste bitterness through it. It isn't bad, but I have had a lot better. Good in a pinch. Service. Only a minute or two wait once I paid. While ordering, they asked me if I wanted ketchup. I was pleasantly surprised as most places don't say a thing, and I forget that it used to be given regardless of asking. I told her yes. Guess what wasn't in the bag when I got home? Well, not only the ketchup, but no napkins either. Eh, it happens. Final thoughts: Monotonous menu! Tenders only and just 1 sauce. We are definitely working with a one-trick pony here. Unless you eat tenders often, the lack of options will be an issue. The sauce is good but not something I want every time. Their sides are not good, and on the lower end of average. I have been to this place twice since this place opened a few weeks ago, and was disappointed both times. Number one, while the chicken fingers are pretty good, they don't have much else. You can get fries, coleslaw and Texas toast as a side. Not much variety in the side choices, chicken finger flavors or sauces. They have 2 sauces... Cane's sauce and Honey Mustard. They don't even have Ranch, which is a Midwest staple! Teriyaki sauce would of been a popular choice also, I am sure. Anyway, their chicken fingers come out piping hot, which is good if you are bringing it home, and they are juicy. But there is only one breading type, that is very neutral. The fries are meh, and the coleslaw is as well. The Texas toast is good though. Lemonade is okay, but overall, for everything, I like Chik FIL A's food better and their customer service is far superior. The second time I went here, I ordered carry out for my husband and kids, and I tried using the app... I ordered a 6 piece chicken meal, but only got 4 chicken fingers. Not Cool! You would think using the app would make for greater accuracy, but no! i read in Google reviews that I am not the only person this has happened to. So two Chicken fingers is what my youngest normally eats... so I basically got shorted one person's meal. And you can't go in the drive thru with the app, which I thought was the point? To make it more streamlined? When you have so limited choices AND mess that up, that does not bode well for business. And get this... I tried to call the store (twice) to let them know I was missing food from my order. Let it ring like 10 times each time, and this is around 3pm. No one answered the phone, even though there was like a ton of employees in the store. For a place that just opened, I am largely turned off. I will not return. read more

I think it's great. Always hot and quick to get through drive through. When I ask for extra ice they give me extra ice. Been going to McDonald's for years and they still don't know what extra ice means. Hot crispy fries and the chicken fingers were fresh no hot. Love this place! Everyone friendly.
