We ordered and took home our food but there is some seating inside and picnic tables outside. Gma's meatball sub was very good. Nice sauce and meatballs. Everything was good and service was fast.

Dine in, take out and drive thru!

Great find along Liberty St., next to Nasty Performance and Sharper Detailing!! They have a vegetarian menu as well as gyros!!!!! Fresh smoothies, Turano desserts, and more! It did not disappoint. Thank you!!

I've enjoyed beef sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, burgers, dogs , and an array of food in the Chicago area, and this place is hands down the best you will ever eat at. I didn't drive through, I walked right in and had the best beef sandwich I've ever had. That's right, better than Portillo's, better than Al's Beef, and better than Buano or Johnnies. It was tender real roast beef, dipped in a mouth watering juice, and to my taste, a spicy but tolerable jardiniere pepper topping. But it didn't stop there, I added cheese to that, and couldn't put it down. OMG....so good. You order at the counter and it's served right at your table by the owner himself, Terry Trobiani. Service couldn't have been better. Ambiance is welcoming and easy to get around. A self service pop machine, plenty of napkins and utensils, and some pretty cool swag you can buy (shirts and hats). I met some college buddies at Terry's place and was welcomed with open arms. He brought out some wonderful homemade meatballs and sausage from family recipes, but the kicker was the unbelievable tasting cannolis and funnel cake. The sweetness of every bite from the cannolis was better than the first. And the funnel cakes came out warm and tender. I've got to say it's worth every minute in the car ride to get to lunch. Don't think twice about checking this place out. It's outstanding food and worth every penny you pay for it. When you go, ask for Terry and let him know Keith sent you.

I've been going to Break Bread since they were on Rt. 14th. They are a very good alternative to…read morethe franchise fast food options around town. So I really enjoy eating here. They have good options to choose from when it comes to sandwiches and burgers. For this day I went with the Cuban sandwich, shoe string fries, sweet potatoes fries, and chicken strips. I place the order online and it says 25 - 30 mins ready for pick up. Sweet no problem as I had a grocery pick up order at Jewels. So about 25 mins passes and I arrive with my 2 year old daughter ready to pick up my food. The restaurant is inside the train station and it's a pretty cool setup. My daughter absolutely loved running around the place. I walk up to the cashier and tell them I'm here to pick up my order and the gentlemen tells me he hasn't even started my order yet and there was some issues going on in the kitchen. He said it's going to be another 10 mins before the food can be ready. Uh oh... I'm going to have to ding 1 star because this should have been updated that it's going to take a lot longer than expected. I wait the 10 mins and the food gets done and then I head home. Overall the food was good and as you can see from my pictures it's a not a traditional cuban sandwich but it was good, and I'd get it again. Fries were hot and crispy and my daughter enjoyed her chicken strips. Breaking Bread has always been a good alternative for grabbing lunch in Crystal Lake.

To start the wrap to filling ratio was perfection, not too much wrap to where it felt like i wasn't getting what i paid for and not an imbalance of a single filling inside, every bite tasted great and had every ingredient- LOVED IT! Onion rings were fried beautifully and battered perfectly- buttery and savory and just so so good each bite and fantastic portion, ate every one! My girlfriend ordered the Turkey Club and side of string fries. We ate off each others plates after discovering how each of our own food was literally the greatest thing we've had in a while lol. Turkey club had a refreshing taste and was so good especially loved the 3 pieces of deli bread! Shoe string fires were fried perfectly, not excess oil or salt and were hot and fresh, personally loved all the different lengths! Lastly and best of all, the hospitality!!! From start to finish of this meal the atmosphere was perfect, music not too loud ( awesome music taste btw ) air conditioning was nice, we came in and we were the only ones eating but still very nice. The older gentleman who took our order was funny, sweet, and attentive!!! really liked him and the other younger person with the green mohawk was also attentive and nice!! Side note that i liked, after ordering up at the front , i wasn't pressured to give a tip- i would have done it anyways but the added touch he just skipped over that for some reason stuck with me in a good way! Total was $35 ish with two drinks. All to say, COME EAT HERE AND SUPPORT A LOCAL BUSINESS!!!

While I have my menu favorites, I regularly try new items (the menu is surprisingly large), and I've honestly never been disappointed. The homemade chips and dill dip just can't be beat. (We provided our own toppings, but needed someone local to provide the baked potatoes.) Teri was super easy to work with and quick in responding to my email questions. The baked potatoes were perfectly done on time and they were huge! Whether for an individual meal or for catering, you can't go wrong with Breaking Bread!

The food was cooked to order and did not take long. Food I got the onion smashed burger. I thought it was delicious with charred onions smashed into the burger and cheese. I did not use any ketchup for the burger because it was very well seasoned and juicy. Tater bombs These were a tarot tot on steroids. It came with what looked like a some sort of ketchup/mayo concoction. Basically a fried loaded potato is a shape of a big beefy tater tot. It had bits of bacon and cheese in it.
