This manager did the coolest thing to make a kids birthday super special! A pretty girl greeted us at the register as she struggled to understand what weird thing we were requesting. This birthday girl wanted their bread. That's right. Not a whole meal with a piece of bread but all bread for her meal! This location is a lot bigger than most, probably due to the traffic it gets. It has a large seating area with both indoor and a smaller outdoor area. All decked out in its red coloring and unique layout. Now this is fast food! It's greasy and delicious. The chicken is cooked perfect and has a wonderful flaky breading. But the cane's sauce is where it's at. I could drink it let alone dunk my entire chicken into it. Terrible service. 40 minutes in the drive thru at 3:00 (not even prime eating time) simply because I seemed to pick the wrong lane. The right lane was moving but the left lane stayed at a stand still. If their employees were trained properly, they would have realized that to make it more equitable. I used to live in NYC (44 years!) and the A Train at rush hour runs neck and neck with this place. That means total cacophony gone mad. In addition to the LOUD music the employees are all yelling and whooping it up like there was a mosh pit in the place! Oh, did I say the dining room has three disco balls hanging in it? If you don't particularly fancy a "Stayin' Alive meets Urban Cowboy" atmosphere, I present options...Eat in their covered patio, get your stuff to go, or just go across the street instead. That's where Chick-Fil-A is. As for the food: beyond the tenders themselves and the slaw, I have little good to pass along. Tenders were fresh, hot and the breading didn't suck. Crispy enough to provide a bare minimal crunch, which is a LOT more than I could say for those lousy, limp fries. My dear Queen Bee ate maybe a couple and tossed the rest. Regular old crinkle cut fries needed a longer time in the oil. To call them underdone would be a polite way to say it; not much salt or seasoning to speak of, either. If you make a rep on fried stuff: well then FRY it PROPERLY! Cole slaw out-crunched the fries and the tenders combined. That's sad! Slaw was actually my favorite part of my "Box" meal, which is 4 tenders, slaw, fries (limp as they are), and a genuine non sequitur: Texas toast?! Back to the slaw for a moment: cabbages (at least two kinds), carrots mixed with a dandy dressing. There was enough dressing so it wasn't dried out. Basically a good southern type slaw which I appreciated. Queen Bee got the three piece combo, which (duh) is three tenders, fries (again with those crappy fries!) and our resident non sequitur: Texas toast?! Yes, Texas toast! It's part of their culture as a brand, along with Cane Sauce, fresh lemonade and all that. Totally unnecessary and a total waste of carbs, waste of bread (crappy bread at that) and waste of space on a fried chicken platter. Total opposite on the Cane Sauce: it's basically a remoulade with a lil bite to it. I could dunk a piece of shoe leather in the stuff and I'd eat it. Well, at least it's be an improvement over those lousy fries! Three stars, you ask? Speed of service was phenomenal, friendly employees and good slaw, tenders with that Cane sauce. If not for those factors, I'd only give two or possibly only one. Either way: the folks across the street have little to worry about; they just need to reintroduce slaw to THEIR menu. read more

The only issue I had with them where the lines were super long inside and out...The drive-through lines are worse than Chick-fil-A but it was well worth it. I was very curious about Raising Canes and how everyone loved it. It's good and you can't really go wrong with chicken strips. The best thing to me was the soft garlic bread and the Cane sauce but I can't say that would be enough for me to return, plus the selection was super limited.
