Ordered a classic chicken sandwich with fries. Girlfriend ordered side salad and 3 piece chicken strips. My first bite cold and tasted like oil was VERY VERY old. The fries were cold also. Just not a great meal. My girlfriend said salad tasted like it was out of a bag and not washed. Both of us tried the tenders and were happy to say they were hot and juicy. Very pleased with the strips. Rest of the meal was sub par with texas toast being stale and chewy. Should just be left out of the menu all together. Service was quick and friendly and ambiance was ok except every table was sticky and gross. Being that this is only second visit I doubt there will ever be a third. read more

I got the nuggets sauced up with Korea BBQ sauce and the spicy tender meal. I've been to PDQ before and I've come to the conclusion that the tenders are best crispy and either regular or spicy, but not sauced up. The meat in the tender is VERY TENDER and saucing them up create a mushy experience, especially if you're not going to eat them at the restaurant. The nuggets, however, are good sauced up. The Nashville Hot and the Korean BBQ options are great if you don't mind the heat. The waffle fries are only good if you're going to eat them right away. The fries don't travel well at all, but if you are going to take them for a ride, leave the bag open and the box cracked a bit or they'll steam and you'll have wilted and floppy waffle fries. The Texas toast is OK, but not great. Stick with the chicken tenders and the nuggs, and if you can have them right away you'll have a significantly better experience. FYI, the chicken is great the next day if you air fry them for a a few minutes at 350 degrees. read more

Super happy with our chicken sandwich and fries here. It was perfect. Came here because it's conveniently located next to our frequented Wawa in Clearwater. PDQ was fast, inexpensive, and convenient. Wanted something that's super portable to take to the beach and this is it. Drive through was easy as pie and everything came just as we asked for it. Once again this store took a nosedive! Maybe it's the night time staff??? Pulled up to the drive thru at 7:30pm & ordered 2 combos of 5 piece tenders. One with mac n cheese & one with fries. We upgraded the drinks to large iced tea. I requested Buffalo, ranch & buffy bleu sauces. First they don't have tea. I asked what other sugar free options they had. He said Minute Maid lemonade. I said please just remove the drinks. He says ok... then tells me it's $31.75... same price as it was with the drinks! I said I'm not paying for the drinks if you don't have them. So he goes to get a manager. This chic has an attitude because she has to actually get up & do her job. I said I just want the drinks removed since apparently they can't make more tea... she says yeah it takes 20 minutes to make... to make tea?? Sure... so she finally removed the drinks & hands us a bag that is not correct. No sauces, no napkins, no utensils & the boxes are not even closed so food is spilling out all over the bag. I asked multiple times for extra sauces and for a 5 piece tender meal I got 3 sauces. I was very excited for PDQ as I've had great experiences at other locations. They have a military discount the 1st Monday of every month but we come more than just that day...that's how good the food, professional the staff & clean the facility(including the restrooms) are. PDQ has a menu a lot like Chick-fil-A's, but I think I like PDQ better. PDQ's food is just as good as Chick-fil-A's but you get more for your money at PDQ. Also, I like vinegar on my fries and PDQ has bottles of malt vinegar at the condiments table. I had never tried a PDQ before this September and I liked it so much that I ended up making about a half dozen visits to this location during my recent two month stay over in Clearwater Beach. I usually got the four piece chicken tenderloin "Tenders" meal. They have a veranda with outdoor seating. The food was very good. My wife had a chicken sandwich and thought it was great and I ordered a BLT, which was very good. The service was very good and the employees were very friendly. This is the first time I have ever eaten there. I want to go back, but I did have one issue. I found a place was very dirty. Every booth and table had food on the floor. I went to the bathroom and the hallway along with the rest of the floors look like they haven't been mopped in weeks. I will definitely try the diner again. I just wanted to praise tonight's staff and call out the great customer service I received at this location. After a long day of work, my husband and I decided to step out for dinner. We arrived around 7pm and the establishment had some patrons dining in but it wasn't too busy. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich meal and substituted my fries with some parmesan broccoli since I'm pregnant with GD and have to watch my carbs. The woman behind the counter was so friendly and told us our order would be out shortly. After a few minutes, we were served and our meals were fresh and hot. Unfortunately after a few bites of my sandwich, I found a small eyelash between the bread and the chicken. This obviously can happen anywhere and I don't usually take food back so I felt horrible going back up to the counter. At 8 months, I'm super emotional so I just didn't have the stomach to continue eating the sandwich. I pointed the hair out to the woman who took my order- right away she apologized and asked if I'd like another sandwich to replace. I honestly lost my appetite for the sandwich so i asked if I could get grilled tenders instead. They accommodated my request right away, apologizing a second time. A few minutes later, I had some hot tenders and they threw in some extra too! It was a wonderful surprise and I really loved how they handled themselves and made it right without question. Pdq deserves a 5 star from me. Always consistent in taste and temperature. Food comes out fast and I get on with my day. Anytime I've ever had an issue with a promotion or something, it's handled professionally and with kindness. I got asked one time if I prefer chick fila or pdq and I'm pretty sure they knew the answer before I opened my mouth. I always like the fact they use tenderloin rather than some cheap breast meat. Wow! What a pleasant surprise! This location is due west of the Publix on Gulf to Bay and Belcher. The exterior and interior are upscale, trendy and roomy. After I ordered, I sat at a very comfy booth. I ordered the Tender Meal with 3 pieces. ($7.29) I chose the fries and it comes with a regular drink. I also ordered a small Zucchini Fries ($3.49) By the time I walked over to get my drink, my food was ready. The chicken tenders were fresh, moist and wonderful! (see pic) The Zucchini Fries were hot, crispy and nicely seasoned. For dipping sauces for the chicken, I chose the honey mustard and the chipolte BBQ sauce. Both good. My family loves this place. I don't know what is in their ranch dressing but it's completely amazing! The chicken is so flavorful and the fries and tots have just the right amount of salt. The service is always warm and friendly whether you dine in or do the drive they. The one thing I don't like is the cost. This the reason for 4 stars. It's a bit pricey for fast food. PDQ is my new obsession. I remember trying it a few years back and thinking "eh, it's like Chick Fil A but not as good." But that thought has changed in a major way. Since my initial visit about 3 months ago I have visited at least once a week. Like I said obsessed. I've tried a variety of items and it's all great with the exception of the regular fries, those are just okay. Nuggets, strips, grilled or fried it's all good and honestly my favorite item on the menu is the zucchini fries and I don't even LIKE zucchini!! The sauces are also amazing the ranch is so good and are a must to accompany the zucchini fries. The chipotle BBQ is my fav for the chicken but my husband's fav is the buffalo blue which is also good. All the sauces are made from scratch daily! It was around 11:30 - just before the lunch rush - I walked up to the counter, placed my order, got a soda, and they were already calling my name. In less than two minutes I had a spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries hot from the fryer. OK, speedy service is one thing, but how about taste? Excellent! We were given an invite for a free meal for two for their opening weekend. The service was amazing -- from Summer taking our order, to her teammates flowing the dining room getting refills and passing out shakes! I ordered the crispy chicken strip basket with fries, and my wife got a grilled chicken salad. Both were extremely fresh and very tasty -- especially with the variety of sauces and dips. When they brought shakes around, I got a coffee cookie shake, and my wife grabbed a strawberry one. Again, both had fresh ingredients blended in -- probably the reason for the HUGE straws lol. After hearing so much about this place and then seeing them everywhere, I finally decided to give one a try. I do haven an affinity for chicken strips, and have to say that they were really good. The chicken is moist and the batter is really tasty. The fries are really good too. There are a bunch of sauces to choose from for dipping and giant bottles of Frank's Red Hot and Siracha sauce if you want to spice things up. This is probably not the healthiest meal, so it not going to be someplace I'll regularly stop unless I find a healthier option to chicken strips. But those chicken strips were so good, it would be hard not to order them when at PDQ. read more

Fist time here at PDQ. My sister kept talking about it so I decided to give them a try. WOW! My server was Daizya and she was helpful with assisting me with my taste buds undecided which sides are her favorite. The Crispy Chicken is well seasoned and fresh including the waffle fries. They even have tots and regular shoe string fries with other options if you're watching your carbs. PDQ is just as good as Chick fi la with more options and they are fast with delivering your food. Highly disappointed with my experience the last 3 times I have come to PDQ. This time was my last. It started with a lack-luster girl that took my order. We could barely hear her, she didn't smile once, and she took down my order incorrectly. She honestly looked new and like she was already miserable with the job. Then we move to the window to get our order. The girl was pleasant, however this is the third time in a row where PDQ has missing giving me part of my order. Today, it was missing an order of fries as well as the sauces we asked for up front. All of this would have been fine, if when I turned around drove back and brought it to their attention they were even the least bit apologetic. They took my receipt, looked irritated that I brought it to their attention, handed me my food and walked away. Not a sorry about that, I don't know how we missed that, here you go and sorry. Nothing. When PDQ first opened the service was amazing! These last 6 months or so have done a complete 180. The employees are not personable, they look like they are being bothered to do the work, and the overall experience of "People Dedicated to Quality" has been completely erased. This will be the last time I visit this location, as I tried to give them 3 tries over a 2 month period with the same results each time. I am totally, completely, and utterly in love with PDQ tenders. I've never been disappointed at any location. They taste so delicious and fresh to me and just have this special quality that I don't taste in other tenders. Their milk shakes, DELICIOUS and creamy...it doesn't have that fake taste like McDonald's or any other fast food. It's very comparable to Chic Fil A shakes and I would even say maybe a bit better. The other item I love is their cookies. Now BIG no-no is that for some reason this location doesn't have PDQ's special made cookies. I have no idea why, and it is disappointing because this is now the closest location to me and I can't enjoy those yummy chocolate chip cookies. They still sell cookies but they are prepackaged and from a completely different company that I can't recall the name of but have seen in stores before. Not fresh and just prepackaged. This location lacks the quality of some of the other locations I've been to. I also recently placed an order Uber Eats and added that I wanted both Honey Mustard and Cheese on the side. When I got home I only saw one sauce. I shrugged, dipped my chicken in it and it turns out they MIXED both honey mustard and cheese into the same cup. I just ended up laughing it off. I don't blame them entirely though, I'm sure they were just confused and read it as if I wanted both. All and all, the food is still good but it's not the best location. read more
