This was my second time visiting clear sky, but my first time visiting this location. (I do prefer this location because it's much easier to find parking.) I did find the set up here a bit odd and the decor a bit dated, but it didn't take away from the great food. The service we had was really good, one person in my party didn't care for their drink so they sent it back and they made them another one at no additional charge. I split the margarita pizza and the Caesar salad with one other person, and it was plenty of food for the two of us, and we even took some pizza home.
The service wasn't good. I wanted around 7 minutes for the waitress to come to my table. Id been so busy that day all I wanted was a steak dinner. medium rare. I ordered oysters not worth it. I've had way better. the steak comes to the table. my first thought was it's so thin. wasn't cooked med rare. more like med well, the creamed spinach was cold the mash potatoes were the best thing on the plate. I tried to eat it and I was like I'm paying 49 dollars for a steak dinne. I should have it cooked the way I like it. I ask for a a redone steak comes out med well for the second time. I was so disappointed. The fact that no one really cared to appreciate my business. I didn't eat the second steak just the sides. And the manager still changed me full price for a dinner they messed up 2 times. Showed me that I won't go back. They need to get a better cut of steak for 49 dollar. I've had better fillets at Texas Road House for half the price. I don't leave reviews on a regular but I was so disappointed in the whole experience at Clear Sky in downtown Clearwater. Service, ambiance and Food. Saturday night, band playing on Cleveland Street . Dinner was delish, no wait at the bar. I highly recommend, especially those who need to eat gluten free.
Went here with a group of 10 for a celebration. We had called ahead and arranged for our group in the back area. We were greeted and seated immediately. Menus were brought and drinks ordered. The restaurant, especially the back area, was nicely decorated and quite distinct from the front bar area. Since it was around 9:00 PM, my wife and I decided to split a French Dip sandwich, and each have a bowl of French Onion soup. A couple bowls of Fried Cheese Curds was ordered to share at the table. After a short wait the Cheese Curds and some salads came. I must admit I had not eaten these since our days in Wisconsin 45 years earlier. They were delicious. Soon our main dishes came, Our French Dip sandwich was also delicious. However, we were disappointed in the French Onion soup. It was good but lacked a bit of flavor and missing most of the Cheese-Bread topping. All in all, everyone was pleased with the food and service and especially the ambiance and decor.
I love the food at the Clearsky locations and it is great that they have their staples at each but also have different options at each one as well. I go to the Clearsky Cafe (Clearwater Beach) the most but when I want something different or don't want to wait in traffic, Cleveland is in downtown Clearwater but you don't have to cross the bridge to get there so beach traffic isn't an issue when you're a local. The service is outstanding as well and any time I have had an issue with a meal, they are quick to fix the issue without any problems or fuse.
Kali H was our server. He was great!! The peanut butter and jelly brussel sprouts were talked about extremely positively by two women we met in St. Petersburg, FL so even though ive always hated brussel sprouts we decided to try them and they were surprisingly very good. My partner had scallops and i had the 2-4pz filet mignons. Excellent! Mine came with garlic mashed potatoes and a wonderful truffled creamed spinach that was out of this world. Cute little place with friendly staff. I would absolutely go back next time im In Clearwater Florida
Drinks, appetizers and shared dinner was amazing . We had two appetizers that were both delicious. The Dates and the Pork belly and scallops for appetizers were both very good. We shared the pork tenderloin schnitzel it came with mashed potatoes and fresh sautéed veggies. Plenty of food for two to share! Bartenders are on point!
Five star short rib, love at first bite. I ordered the short rib Benedict gluten-free, so no bread just extra breakfast potatoes. Insanely good. Loved my espresso martini and our delightful server. My party sat in the atrium, which is a bit roomier than the inside dining and bar area. Part of a small chain yet has its own eclectic menu and individualistic charm.
Ambiance great! Service great! Food so so. My husband got the ribeye. Not cheap by any means and had no flavor. The mashed potatoes also tasted terrible. I got the pork belly lo mein. The noodles tasted I guess you would call starchy. Vegetables okay but I asked for more soy sauce because it was so dry. Pork belly pretty good. Definitely wouldn't try it again maybe something else. Neighbors got the lobster ravioli and loved it. $31 (ouch!) but I guess it's the best thing on the menu. Draft beers are $6 a piece for domestic. A shot of whiskey is $16. I guess no one else is complaining about the prices because they have like 3 or 4 other locations. Maybe we will come back and bite the bullet and get the lobster ravioli. Haha

As much as I have enjoyed the Draught Haus, Club Haus, and the Clearwater Beach location, hubby and I agree this location is exceptional. We managed to get parking in back of the restaurant but it was pretty full. They have a large bar area, which was pretty crowded and noisy. They offered us a table in the garden room, at the back of the restaurant. It was a nice, bright, open room and definitely quieter than the bar area. The menu is different and more rounded out than the other locations. More, and diverse, choices. The appetizer's looked interesting, particularly the PB&J Brussels sprouts, with peanuts. When we asked our server what size portion it is, she said it was quite large and pretty filling. Decided to save that for another visit. I ordered the pork schnitzel, with lemon butter sauce, mashed, and delicious veggie medley of finely sliced carrots, onions and assorted squash in a light garlic sauce. All so delicious! Hubby got the Asian Chicken, lightly fried chicken strips over rice, veggies, and a tangy general tso style sauce. Very good! We both had leftovers to take home. A big shout out to our server, Ally, aka Alison (my name also). She was wonderful, offering suggestions and being very attentive to us. She was very sweet and personable. We will definitely be heading there again soon. Interested in trying more of their other extensive menu, including pastas, steaks, and appetizers, along w their sandwiches. They've recently added several lobster items to the menu. They also serve breakfast and brunch. That menu looked pretty yummy too!
This is a great spot for a nice meal or to preparty before a show at BayCare Sound. We enjoyed our simple but tasty appetizers and tacos for sustenance and some wine for a light buzz before the show. Service was great and the view of the sunset and concert goers on their way made sitting outside even more entertaining. The place is huge I hear, but I never made it inside.
Started off disappointing- lots of staff buzzing around. From the hostess stand on the outside no one stopped to talk to me. I scanned the open table QR code on the stand and put in my time for a group of 3. After people going in and out and 15 minutes passing I checked Open Table and it said we were sat. I went inside and after being passed by a handful of staff I was able to get one talk to me. They looked at the computer and sat us. The server was ok. I could tell she was busy. The manager did say hi as he walked by. The food was good- meatloaf was light on the meatloaf sandwich but still good. All in all- getting the seat was a chore but the food was good.
We just ate at the Clearsky on the island yesterday. This we stumbled upon by accident and were so pleased they had the second location right near our errand this morning. We had the black and blue burger on lunch special and it was phenomenal. No sauce was needed for the burger or the fries. Good lord, I believe it was gone in about 90 seconds. Yummy!!

We've really been enjoying this place! We've visited several times for Wine Down Wednesday, and each experience has been fantastic. We've had the pleasure of being served by Jamie, who is an outstanding waitress. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the wine selection and always makes excellent recommendations based on what we enjoy. On our most recent visit, we enjoyed a bottle of Austin Hope along with some delicious food, and everything was excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is consistently great, and Jamie always makes us feel well taken care of. If you're looking for a great spot to relax with good wine, great food, and exceptional service, we highly recommend giving this place a try. We'll definitely be back! read more

The menu here is super extensive and it took us forever to decide on an order! I went with the lunch special, where you can get half of two items so I got a flatbread and a salad. Both were tasty and it was the perfect portion size for a lunch. The ambiance here is super cute, with two different rooms. My favorite room is the sun room, which has plenty of natural lighting and is just a nice environment to eat in. The service was great as well! Just be aware that street parking is the only option here read more
On our final day in Clearwater, we decided to have brunch at this tried and true restaurant. We were seated outdoors as requested. Our server Caitlin was top notch. As usual, everything we ordered was delicious, the lobster in the omelet was a bit tough, but as usual, everything was delicious. Great brunch spot. read more

Both of us really liked our flatbreads + we both finished them too! So yummy. About $15 per flatbread. And the outdoor seating is dog friendly! The staff were kind and our waitress made sure to bring out cold water in a dog bowl for our pup! We loved sitting outside, even though it was quite a warm day! The intermittent clouds + breeze off the water were great and totally worth sitting outside for the ambiance! read more

Great place to grab a bite in Clearwater. I heard from a friend that this place is always packed before performances so make a review. However, for a random Saturday at around 2 p.m. there were tons of tables open (I know, not prime lunch time so that could have been part of it). They have a lot of seating outside since the road in front of it is blocked off. Still outside seating had a lot of sun so even though it was a nice day I opted for inside. I started with their French Onion soup. I got the bigger size and it is still a good starter soup. I shared it with my husband which is why I got the bigger size, but I think it is reasonable for one person to order it alone. Then for my entree I got the Lobster Caesar Salad. There was a large amount of lobster on it, which I really enjoyed. Overall it was a great salad and I like the extra oomph the lobster gave it. This is a casual environment so you can definitely wear jeans. Overall I really enjoyed this place and I will definitely come back. read more

This place offered a special Christmas menu but also allowed you to order off the traditional menu. I opted for the traditional and chose to get the sea bass wrapped in banana leaves with a miso sauce. This did not disappoint. For an appetizer I got the lobster bisque: creamy, thick and very savory! Not much lobster in here which was a little disappointing. Our server was very attentive and gracious. read more

I had the Flatbread made with cauliflower crust with goat cheese and pear. It is absolutely delicious and you cannot tell there is a cauliflower crust at all. It is so good. Serve next to it is a glass of 3 Daughter's Brewery Beach Blonde Ale. The bartenders were excellent Fran & KY! Thank you such quick & fantastic service! The ambiance is really relaxed and very well decorated inside. There's a back area to this restaurant which looks like a big garden room that is very well lit and absolutely beautiful. That area is great for bigger parties as well. The front part of the restaurant is more of the bar area with table and Booth seating. I have been to this restaurant many many times and I have never had a bad meal served. They have excellent food throughout the day whether it's breakfast lunch or dinner this is an great place to go! There's parking around the back side of the building as well as parking garages in the area that are for free. I do believe they take reservations most nights. The night we were there they were having entertainment out in the street and there is outdoor seating as well. Clear Sky restaurants are well known around in this area and each one is unique. This one is definitely a favorite of mine! read more
Decided to check this place out for brunch. It was busy and we have not made reservation so had to sit outside. The sun was little too bright and was facing right at my face so we asked if we could sit at any tables under the shade, but she said those were reserved. Well, those tables were not occupied while we dine in well over 1+ hour. Our server changed the table to slightly better table with some shade in between, so that made it up. Strictly from food perspective, the foods are delicious. The portion is also sufficient and filling, so appetizer+ two entrees will fill two parties. When you are nearby, consider checking the place out. read more

I love the outdoor seating ... such a beautiful area to sit and enjoy a meal - having the street blocked off from traffic is a great idea! I found the food to be a bit underwhelming ... the seasoning was kind bland. I know different people have different taste so try it out for yourself - I would consider this place more for an intimate date location for drinks though. read more

The ducky brussel sprouts changed my life, so good. I paired it with a lovely Chardonnay for a lovely afternoon pick me up. Nick was a great bartender. I came in during happy hour and was really enjoying myself. If I can offer some criticism, I would recommend asking the staff to lower their voices. I could hear their personal and business conversations in this quiet bar. Excellent place and I will come again. read more

One of my new favorite restaurants by far. Our server was super kind. Wish I could remember her name, but she was blonde, maybe mid twenties like myself. I asked her to switch tables and she was so patient! Didn't think twice about it, grabbed all the items and opened the door for my boyfriend and I at the same time. It was my first time to downtown Clearwater so I was a little freaked out by how dead quiet it was outside. It was a Tuesday night but wow it is quiet. But Inside, I love the ambience. It's laidback and upscale at the same time. Had old 80s rock playing. THE FOOD. I got the fanfare flatbread with the philly sandwich and the bacon-wrapped dates. I cannot emphasize that, as someone who is so picky that I cook 7/7 days per week most of the time, THIS FOOD IS TO DIE FOR. The lavender lemonade is refreshing and not too sweet which I absolutely love. Our server suggested this to me and I did not regret it. I usually don't leave detailed reviews but wow, I'm impressed. read more
We were in town for one of my son's college baseball games and decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. I didn't think to make reservations since we decided where to go that same day...it was chilly outside and without reservations the only tables they had available for walk ins were outside...not sure if this is a standard practice. Initially they sat us at a table furthest east and away from all the heaters. I knew it was going to be incredibly uncomfortable as the temps were dipping and eating dinner in the cold was not an ideal situation. I couldn't sense whether the hostess was actually nice or indifferently sarcastic when throughout the whole seating process so we just sucked it up. After about a minute we noticed another table open up right next to a heater and not on the outskirts of the dining tables, so I ran inside and begged to be reseated. Again - The same hostess was nice but not? Speaking to me, but not making eye contact...I was just happy we were getting a better table so, at this point I knew we would be in the hands of our server and not really dealing with her anymore. Our server was great - I wish I could remember his name, but he was very patient and mad the rest of the evening quite enjoyable. There was 4 of us for dinner so we ordered a few different apps: Grilled Octopus - husband said it was very good! PB&J Brussel Sprouts - These were really good and so big! Calamari - my son and his girlfriend said they were very good! Meals: Beyond Burger - menu description: Vegetable based patty, tomato jam and avocado slices...The avocado slices were a joke (see the picture I uploaded)...I also asked for a side of the mango slaw...that was also disappointing as it was tiny...The beyond burger itself was good, and the fries were good too! Creamy Pesto Chicken Gnocchi - my son's girlfriend said it was delicious Lobster Ravioli - My husband enjoyed this quite a bit Cajun Pasta - my son enjoyed this as well and took home his leftovers as well as his girlfriend's lol All in all - I feel like I may or may not visit this place again - If I do, definitely with reservations. We haven't really explored the city much so we will probably try other places before we repeat a visit. read more

I think that they still have them during brunch, on Saturday and Sunday.
