This location in Fairfield has been operational since Feb 2026, and it looks like Paramus will be getting one in the next year or so. First off, I came pretty early for lunch standards: the workers were like busy-bees, because they were trying to fulfill a catering order of 300 chicken tenders. Nevertheless, although they were quite busy, the workers were attentive to my needs, and helped me order quickly and efficiently. I got "THE BOX COMBO" ($13.49). Now if your privy like myself --- do these Raising Cane hacks: get your bread "BOB"-style (butter on both sides), and order everything "extra crispy" to ensure a fresh batch of chicken/fries. All in all, the interior of the restaurant is colorful and modern, with disco balls hanging from the ceiling. Walls adorned with paintings and art, and things from the community. Not good, not bad, just passable. We visited Raising Cane's this weekend for the first time now that the overall hype has died down. We are in the area often, so we had high hopes. That said, this one missed the mark. The place was still mobbed, which made us think that we were in for some amazing food. No seating inside, so we opted to sit outside. Interior decor was nice. Staff were all hustling. However, inside was pure chaos. Patrons milling around waiting for food, people spilling their trays/sauce/drinks all over the floors trying to get through the crowd, etc. My wife and I each got combos. First impression: the quality and taste of this food is not congruent with the hype. This was literally a plain chicken finger in poorly seasoned breading. The food lack flavor. Chicken was juicy, etc, but had hardly any taste. Fries were crispy, but had no taste. Texas toast lacked flavor. Not terrible, but not something I would return for either. Go to a Chick-fil-a, Popeyes, or KFC instead. First time trying Raising Cane's. We stopped in family of 4 for a quick lunch on our way to the Poconos and left pretty disappointed. The chicken was subpar. It was bland, lacked seasoning, and was soggy instead of crispy. I was expecting a nice crunch, but it just wasn't there. What really made the experience worse was the service. We ordered a Caniac Combo with one extra chicken tender. When our food came out, the extra tender was missing. We politely brought it to their attention, and the manager responded with an attitude, saying, "Here's an extra one, but it was already included before. We checked." and walked away. There was no apology and felt like we were being accused of lying about the missing item. Mistakes happen, but good customer service can easily fix them. And to make matters worse, one of the workers came to wipe down our table after we finished eating even though we were still sitting there. The place was nearly empty with only 1 other party seated besides us. Unfortunately, both the food and the service left a bad first impression. There's so much buzz around Raising Cane's that when the first location in northern NJ opens, you have to go there. My only other experience at this fast food chain was down in Tallahassee and I thought it was ok. My opinion on the food really hasn't changed much. I really wasn't crazy about it. I ordered the combo with 3 chicken fingers with sauce, fries, and a slice of Texas toast. I'm probably the exception since most people I know love it, including my kids. After living in the south for a few years, raisin canes had become a go to for me! (especially when i was pregnant) so when I saw they were opening a fairfield location i was super excited. let me preface my review by saying that this is still a fast food joint. don't wait on line for this place, and don't go crazy out of your way to try it. but, FOR a fast food place this location is very nice. the new building is nice and spacious. it has a little outdoor seating patio and the dining room is bright and clean. the decor is fairfield/jersey themed which i also loved. the food is literally the same ish you get at every location. sauce is amazing and one tiny cup is never enough. pro-tip is to sub your coleslaw for an extra piece of texas toast. the lemonade is amazing. the honey mustard is just average so stick to the canes sauce. they do hand bread all of the chicken tenders on site. read more

Finally a Cane's in North Jersey!! Every time I did a road trip down south or to PA I had to get Raising Cane's and was so happy when they started opening them up here. We went on a weekend so it was super crowded since it's still new, but we were able to find parking. The line to order wasn't super long though, and the food was ready fast. We did have to scout for a table for a bit but we were able to snag one. The chicken is really great quality and honestly pretty reasonably priced. Very tender and juicy. Their sauce is great - it has a nice peppery flavor. I see why people on the internet get drink cups full of it. I love doing an iced tea with half sweet and half unsweetened so it's the perfect level of sweetness for me. I'll probably wait for the hype to die down a bit more (if it ever does??) or go on a weekday next time but overall a great experience and happy this location opened up! read more

New Raising Cane's location opened up!! If you thought it was popular in the city....wow long lines at the drive thru! Can order take out to go as well. Order ahead and pick up or at the counter. Came here for lunch on a Saturday.. they have indoor seating for capacity of 89 people with some outdoor seating. Food is made to order so there is a bit of a wait so plan wisely as the food is fresh. There are combo options to select from. 3 piece, 4 piece, Caniac combo, oh and the Texas toast (Yum)!!! The fries are perfectly salted. Chicken tenders were nice and hot and comes with their signature sauce. Seating is limited though so find a spot or take to go... Yes it is good and hence why popular. Heard the drive thru is long daily...great that they are new addition to the area! Raising Cane's is new to the area, so of course it's going to be a madhouse and it definitely was. Between all the cars, police and security directing traffic, and the large crowds, it looked a little intimidating at first. But honestly, it went much smoother than we expected. We went inside instead of using the drive-thru (which was extremely long), and it took less than 15 minutes to get to the counter and place our order and get our food. The food came out fast and hot. It was definitely chaotic inside, especially with the amount of DoorDash and Uber Eats orders constantly being placed on the shelves. It might make more sense for them to focus on drive-thru and dine-in first, then branch into delivery once things settle down. Seating is limited. There are way more people than tables and staff were holding trainings at a few tables during peak time, which didn't make much sense. If that's the case, they might as well close the dining area temporarily. Shame on management! As for the food -- it's Cane's. The chicken is tender, the fries are fries, and the sauce is what makes everything better. The garlic bread is delicious, the coleslaw is underrated, and the southern-style sweet tea is always refreshing. The inside is nice and vibrant, although I could've done without the oversized Elvis Presley picture in the dining area. Getting in is a little tricky right now. You have to enter off Route 46 through the Jose Tejas entrance and drive all the way over, which feels a bit odd -- but maybe that'll change. Overall, if you're thinking about going, just go. I got the 4 piece meal deal. This is my 3rd Cane's location I'm trying. The first two were in the city. First thing I noticed was the size of tenders. It looked smaller than the other spots. One noticeable difference between this location and the other was the chicken was seasoned with salt. Drove by to see if we could get in since the last few weeks people were lined up down the highway. Got right inside and the order came out very very quickly. I was very surprised that each item in the combo was very good. I don't eat a lot of faster food but the food and people here were great. The chicken fingers were not dry and tasty as was the sauce. The fries were great also the Texas toast was good. Even the lemonade was not overly sweet. The staff came by a few times asking if we needed anything. FINALLY! I heard this place opened up after a long delay in construction and renovation. I immediately hopped in my car and arrived to a packed parking lot and a line down the block haha. Honestly, I was expecting that, but I was hoping that the road and the highway entrance was more accessible and finished. Finally tried Cane's. Granted, it would be next to impossible for this place to live up to the hype that precedes it so I will try to keep that in mind while writing this review. I must say that the chicken is very good. Incredibly moist and tender. However, I found the batter or breading to be a bit on the bland side. The sauce is pleasant but not life changing by any means. With that said Cane's easily tops most of the chicken finger strips that you can get from large scale chain restaurants. In my humble opinion, considerably better than "Chick Fil A". But not up to the level of "Dave's Hot Chicken". The service was efficient and friendly. The decor is pretty nice for a chicken joint. I will more than likely dine at Cane's again but not until the incredibly long lines die down. It will be a while. read more

We've been waiting for this location to open and finally got to try it today on opening day! The line for drive-through was crazy - literally felt like waiting in line at a border crossing lol. I sent my husband to walk in and order while I waited in the drive through and he had placed the order before I even got within eyeshot of the restaurant. So I'd definitely recommend parking and walking in to order! I went with my usual - Caniac combo + extra fries instead of the coleslaw. You can replace any side with any other side. I cannot believe what we experienced at the brand new Raising Cane's in Fairfield. My son literally found ants inside his drink. Ants. At a location that just opened. If this is the level of cleanliness they're operating with already, I don't even want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. What made it worse was the manager's response. Instead of showing real concern, apologizing properly, or taking the situation seriously, he casually offered to replace the cup -- as if that fixes the fact that insects made it into a customer's beverage. That is not customer service, that is damage control with zero accountability. It also makes you question everything else. If ants are getting into drinks, how can customers trust the food is safe? Cleanliness is the bare minimum for any restaurant, especially a new one trying to build a reputation. On top of that, we waited in a long line for what turned into a completely disappointing and unsettling experience. This visit destroyed any excitement we had about this location.
