Once in a while I get a killer craving for a Cheese Steak. It usually takes over my entire thought process until this craving gets dealt with and it's times like these when I head right over to the nearest Jersey Mike's where they're always serving up some seriously delicious handheld masterpieces.   They've got a few really solid choices over here but my all time favorite has gotta be their Number56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak: with Grilled Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Cheese, Jalapeños, and (tell them to add extra of) their Chipotle Mayo. !! YUMMMMMMERS!! And trust me THAT will take care of any killer cravings for at least a while, Lol.    I found service here to be efficient and friendly plus I like the way the line moved along at a steady pace. We'd gone to the Jersey Mike's in West Orange and were completely unimpressed. But it was the day of giving today and I wanted to try again, so I ordered from West Caldwell. When I got there it was packed so you may want to app your order. However the saw hi he's this time were excellent. My husband got the original Italian and I got roast beef. Lots of meat, tasty application of spices and O&V. Fresh rolls. My husband compared his sandwich to a San which he loves down the shore. We will be going back. read more

The service is pretty quick but not efficient. The employees are teenagers so of course they're not taking their job that seriously. I had to repeat my order three separate times. I come there almost every weekend and all of a sudden had a bad experience with a worker talking to a person WHO WAS NOT BUYING ANYTHING MEANWHILE IM WAITING FOR MY FOOD THAT I PURCHASED. 1/16/2026 at 5:43pm my food was supposed to be ready but the worker that was making the food, decided to talk to a customer WHO WAS NOT AT ALLL BUYING ANYTHING. Easily could have messed up the order. I waited additional 15+ minutes after when my food was supposed to be ready. The young girl kept going slow and not even paying attention while talking when the order was not even completed. I asked for a SMALL CUP of Sauce and Gave me a bad attitude for no reason when I asked nicely. She did not like that I INTERUPTED her important conversation with a person who is NOT BUYING ANYTHING. Then she tells me in a bad tone "next time ask for a small cup" which I always do. IF it was SOOO much a problem, she should have called to CONFIRM instead of making my food late. Check the cameras and you can see I was waiting LONGER than 15+ minutes. Anyone would be pissed off if this was done to them. I will not be coming back because of this person making it bad experience to order from here and having an attitude when she is having a conversation with a nobody that's not even ORDERING. She was not the big girl (she was very polite); it was the other female that thinks she runs the place and has no manners. read more

I like Jersey Mike's. I'm pretty much obligated to since I live in New Jersey and my name is Mike, but today was not a good experience at this Jersey Mike's location. In fact, "not good" is being generous. It was bad enough to make me walk out without the food I ordered. When it comes to subs I'm an old school type of person, so my go to sandwich is their Original Italian. It's really the only thing I ever order so after many years and many Original Italian subs I know what to expect. That's why I took notice when the person making my sandwich was doing a sloppy job and not putting the right amount of meat on the sandwich. I don't like to be the complaining old lady at the deli counter, but this is an $18 sandwich, so I spoke up. I asked how many slices of each meat go onto the giant sub, because it seemed very light compared to what I was used to. I was told 5 slices of each. As it happens though, I was watching as he made the sandwich and observed only three slices of each meat going onto the bread, and I said this. He said I was wrong, and did I want him to pull apart the sandwich and count each slice? I thought this was quite rude, so I said yes, show me. He didn't like this and made a dramatic display of picking apart the sandwich. Guess who was right. I asked him to make a fresh sandwich, since this one was both sloppy and hand been so manhandled (I didn't actually say that last part). He wasn't happy and in an overly loud sarcastic tone said "REALLY?" At that point I said to forget it and I would go to a different Jersey Mike's, which is exactly what I did. Fortunately, there's another location nearby in Roseland. They were much nicer and made the sandwich correctly. I tend to think this was a case of a single apathetic employee with a bad attitude, but there was no manager present to deal with the problem, which is unfortunate, because this could have easily been resolved. Now, I won't be going back to that location. I'll still go to Jersey Mike's, but just not there. read more

I've ordered from here twice already, their subs are really good specially the bacon ranch chicken cheese steak, Oh My God, it's delicious! :) Place was pretty clean and looks well maintained. Accidentally ordered at this one instead of the one in Wayne. The inside of the sub was pretty good. They followed instructions. The bread itself was so terribly stale that it was inedible. I've never experienced such bad bread for a sandwich before. It's good for anyone who doesn't want to be tempted by carbs though. Hoping someone teaches staff how to pick bread next time. I went to order the "cheese sub" but the person cutting the meats refused to clean the slicing blade before cutting the cheese. I am a vegetarian! I don't want the blade that was cutting all the meat to touch the cheese. Think about it, all the different meats use the same machine, they only have one. They have done this for me in the past, I don't know what this guy's problem was today, I guess he is too lazy. The place does not look that clean to begin with. I enjoy this Jersey Mike's location and have had great service here. The employees appear to be on the younger side but do a good job getting you in and out as efficiently as possible. I mentioned to the young man with the shaved head () that the sandwich gets soggy before I get it home and he promptly advised me to get the dressing on the side and apply it at home. Great suggestion and it works like a charm! He also was very personable and friendly. I would like to see more non meat options and corporate should consider that. I do enjoy eating here but really would welcome more options for non meat eaters ... (hence the one star I held back). read more

I've visited this location numerous times, and each time I'm blown away even more. The customer service at this J.M. is ABSOLUTELY something to write home about. Every time I am there, there is usually a line out the door but the staff keeps smiling and serves us our orders quickly! Last night, I visited to place an order for a catering box. I believe the girl at the counter's name was Amanda - she was absolutely phenomenal! She was so thorough with placing my order and confirmed everything with me twice. Oooo boy was I disappointed in this location. My friend gets a tuna sub and this has happened to us at this location a few times before but didn't know about yelp at that time. The tuna was spread on her sub like it was butter and you could hardly taste the tuna. When they first opened here they gave u plenty and now they hardly cover the bread and they charge you 8.00. Asked the nice girl with the pink hair why this is happening and she said they portion out the tuna.THATS BULL!!! I got a sandwich and had lots of meat and cheese but they ration on the tuna!!!! I am so disappointed with this store and probably will not be going back until they get their acts straight. And maybe after that I will choose subway lol lol. Subs are constantly made incorrectly, staff is clueless and rather rude. There appears to be a large staff, but when I order online and get there (and allow extra time based on past performance) subs are never ready, no one addresses you you and you just stand around waiting for an acknowledgement it's just not worth the frustration, I've given up. I have to commend the staff of this restaurant. Most times when I go in, there is a large line of customers and the ladies who are usually there are fantastic. Always friendly and polite and moving the line along. Even when they're making small talk with regulars, there is no slowdown in service. Now, I don't personally know if these ladies like their jobs but it certainly seems like they do and that's what makes we want to return whenever I'm in the mood for a sandwich. This location has gone down... the last few times I ordered the counter has been dirty.... oil and vinegar has been on the counter.. the lettuce is partially brown ... they tend to scrape the fallen lettuce back into the prep dish... the bread is cut ridiculously uneven causing the thin slice bread to fall apart... and the staff most times are not wearing masks, talking over the food. This location use to be decent -- since the pandemic it has declined. I'm hoping they make changes soon. read more

First time we ordered was great. Second time they screwed up the order. Third time we ordered online they didn't see the ticket so we had to wait. Ordered today and some twit at the counter that was in weeds said there wasn't chips on the receipt so we had to pay for them and would have to get in line for that. We paid the chips online and told her that. No apology, just a rude employee not understand that customer service is about 95% of any fast food place especially a sandwich shop in North Jersey. There are only about 40 sandwich shops with in 20 minute drive. My wife's sandwich looked like it was on left over bread from 2 days a go. It was a chicken bacon ranch served extra cold. I've had jersey mikes before in different states and the food is always adequate. It is your typical sandwich place and can be counted on for consistency between locations. This location is much like all the other ones I have stopped at. It is a sandwich not fine dinning, if that is what you are expecting you won't be disappointed. The employees who create the sandwiches are so inexperienced it amazes me... i ordered 6 sandwiches online all containing toppings and when i opened the sandwiches all of them had no toppings at all. 5 out of the 6 sandwiches we completely dry.. i never write yelp reviews and i never thought of myself as a person to do that but this was a terrible experience and I have never seen such inexperienced workers at a facility before, like who looks at an order and cant copy a simple sandwich... what a shame. Love this place! Always a hit. My favorite is the Italian sub. I have tried the cheese steak, and chicken steak, all worth the wait. During lunch hours except a long line. I try coming after hours to skip the wait. They are a little over priced compared to other chains but the quality is superb. Nice staff and they keep the place very clean. read more

I have been going to this location for about two years. The girl with the pink hair is very thorough and does her job with a sense of purpose. She never looks overly happy, but if you go there regularly you can tell she keeps the place together. Every time I have ordered the food has been prepared exactly the way I asked in a consistent way. When I ask for the tuna in a bowl without the bread i get a huge portion of tuna with everything included. They have never gotten an order wrong. I have lots of respect for the whole jersey mikes franchise since I talked to a friend who told me the west orange branch always gave him a meal when he had no money and was losing his house. Since I go to the WC location I noticed they do the same. The girl with the pink hair happens to be a really genuine person since I have observed her looking out for another person in need. During the recent snowstorm I was trapped in panera with a group of people when they closed Bloomfield ave. The same needy guy that I see in jersey mikes was also there. I was able to talk to him and he told me how they look out for him at both establishments. That's what I call real corporate social responsibility. read more
