Fact: Even the most jaded of consumers can be fooled into reordering at Canes despite multiple poor experiences. Let your favorite Yelp correspondent explain. I'm a regular patron of the Glendora store, my part-time gig work delivering meals finds me, a semi-retired Fortune 100 exec, ferrying Three-Finger Combos and Caniac Combos to the hungry twenty-something Zoomers of Glendora and surrounding cities 2-3 times/week. On Monday, while picking up an order I allowed myself to be momentarily spellbound by the tantalizing scents and placed an order for a Caniac Combo (extra Texas Toast, hold the cole slaw). This, despite a duo of unsatisfactory visits to the chain's Chino and Downey venues. The good can be swiftly recounted- The super friendly staff and blazing fast service. On my every visit, I'm greeted by a warm "Hi! Welcome to Canes!" greeting by one of the staff. And my wait times for any order rival an Olympic sprint. But, I ask, what good is friendly and expedient service, if the actual meal disappoints?! On a $20.81 (with tax) Caniac Combo studded with a half dozen chicken fingers fries and two pieces of Texas Toast, the sole ingredient that met my expectations was the sauce, so damned good you wanna drench your meal in it...Alas, the Canes Sauce is most assuredly the boss! But everything else in my combo was as underwhelming as the Wicked films! The chicken was moist but undercooked. Look at the photo and make your own judgment- Does that chicken look well breaded with a warm, crackling exterior? Of course not! The fries were overly greasy and wan, lacking the crisp finish that all good fries must possess. My Texas Toast may derive its origins from the Lone Star State, but in taste and mouth feel they deserve to be left all by their lonesome...fed to the dogs when no one is looking. In sum, while Raising Canes can and will delight its mostly Generation Z customers with delightful service and swift deliveries, the caliber of the meal itself leaves a lot to be desired. When paying a $20 bill, or more, for what is quintessentially mass-produced finger food, you'd reasonably expect to be left licking your fingers in satisfied culmination to your meal. Instead, I'm left tempted to FLICK my finger in annoyance at the squandered money for such a desultory meal. The store's signs and slogans profess a fanatic obsession with food quality so intense that it borders on "One love." But for this particular customer, who's sampled the food at three different Canes due to my own trio of twenty-something kids, I've got (very little) love for the food. read more

We went to a city festival and got 2 free kids meal vouchers at their booth to try out. One for each of our kids. When we got there we thought we might have to redeem them separately and do 2 separate transactions but they were so nice and let us order them with our other orders all in one transaction. No hassle. Inside had a big painting of Cane the dog. My kids loved it and really enjoyed the music in there. They've never heard of the song but hummed and danced along. It was my first time trying their chicken and I did not know that was all they had. For having a limited menu they're doing it right. Very moist and delicious chicken tenders and their garlic bread the perfect side. I did not like their special sauce but they had plain ketchup and that was good enough for us. Decided to get canes tonight and was thrown off immediately by the rude tone of the employee. She was rushing and was not happy at all like the usual canes vibe... at the window she was kindly asked for EXTRA hot sauce.. she responded with "it's in the bag" but when I asked for EXTRA she had the audacity as an employee to literally throw the sauce into my bag.. I was honestly shocked by her behavior. The woman was big wore glasses and overall had a snotty attitude and had not integrity to apologize rather just stared after throwing and dropping the sauce.. My first time experiencing an extra charge for sauce after spending a ridiculous..and I mean RIDICULOUS amount on fast food! I requested 2 extra sauces and the employee at the drive up window said they charge 50 cents for "extra sauce". I thought the employee was kidding. I had just spent almost $60 dollars! FOR FAST FOOD!! I seriously thought she would hand me the 2 extra small sauces but she waited for me to pay for the sauce. With that being said, I paid for the extra two sauce's and thank God I did; The 4 chicken strips ( box combo) were dry. The fries had no seasoning and were cold. The Texas bread it came with (it's just half of one slice of bread) was actually good. It was well toasted and airy. This box combo also comes with coleslaw which I passed on trying, looks like a 2oz or less serving. Lemonade drink was just okay, overloaded with ice. I did not try the chicken sandwich so I can't comment on that. Drive thru Customer Service was just efficient and dry like the chicken strips. GETTING HERE: I was hungry and needed to get some food during a long road trip. Raising Cane's came up as a location nearest to me so I drove on over. NOTE: Yelp does have the address correct so finding this wasn't a problem. (Look for the Home Goods and you'll be golden). REVIEW: This was a quick stop through the drive-thru for this first timer to this location. I have visited the Oxnard location a handful of times and it's been basic, good food in a pinch. This location is right on par. The drive-through set up was pretty efficient to me. They had the 2 line set-up that I have begun to see in other fast food locations. Got thru the line pretty quick and I had ordered a kid's meal. Employee at the window was basic. Nothing out of the ordinary positive or negative. She handed me my food; I had to ask for napkins. The chicken strips were warm-ish; the toast was warm; the fries were soggy. (Boo hoo.) But, this visit to Raising Cane's pretty much checked all the boxes that I needed on my long road trip. Came in on Wednesday afternoon during lunch and Alisson was very friendly (forgive me if I spelled your name wrong ) she was very friendly and polite. Great genuine smile. She took our order and She offered to us the green lemonade that looks amazing but we were too scared to try it so we went with the kids meal and the standard lemonade. Everything was quick and easy. The order was accurate the chicken stripes were delicious and the crinkly fries were the best part of our meal. They had theboerfect crunch to them, not isggy, not burnt but perfectly textured. Everything was clean throughout the restaurant despite how busy it was. We will definitely keep coming back for another kids meal for sure. read more

I really enjoyed this location. The customer service was top notch, the people work here and nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. I got the box combo meal with 4 tenders. The chicken is cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, the fries were good, the toast always goes well with the meal and the slaw adds a refreshing kick to it all. Return visit and had another good experience. The staff is welcoming and there was no wait when I arrived. I placed my order and was called to pick up my food before I could fill my soda cup! Ordered a 3-pc Chicken Finger Combo ($10.89), including fries and a fountain drink which was delicious. There's plenty of parking at this location, and the drive-through is usually busy. I went through the drive thru ordered a kids meal and asked that the naked chicken be cooked with the French fries instead of in the vat with the battered chicken as i have an allergy to wheat. They said they couldn't do that. I explained that at the azusa, ca location they were able to do that. So i pay and wait for my order. I walked in with my three children and a man walked in behind me. One of the managers(which they apparently couldn't give me his name) told a female employee with red hair (also no name given)to help Him out before me. To which I don't understand why. I let the red hair girl know that I was confused why he was helped out before me and she just said her manager told her to. I visited this Raising Cane's a long while ago just buying a Cane's Doggie T-Shirt for my dad. Their shirt design is super cute. I'll return to add a pic of the shirt later. For now proof of this receipt will do. Staff was super friendly when I visited them. Parking was super convenient as there was always plenty of free plaza parking. I just wanted a Cane's swag, so that was what I bought not the food items during this particular visit. I'll definitely return here for more of their Garlic Toasts in a future visit. We always love the food here but the rude cashier and some staff (not all) were not so happy when we ordered naked tenders, like very bothered, she caught an attitude very quick and even at the window referred to our order as the "huge naked order" all I have to say is do better. sorry you didn't wana make the tenders but it's no place for attitude chick fil a workers would never do that. I've been coming here since they opened. Tonight was a complete disaster. Ordered four meals & four drinks. At the pick up window they handed me three drinks. He asked for my name and told me he'd ask the back to bring it out. We park and wait in the pickup space, and we wait 20 mins, no service so I go out and ask if they can check on my order since we were already about 30 mins later than when they told me the order would be ready by. He came back 5 mins later asking for my name again and he didn't see anything in the system. I tell him for the second time it should be a called in order for Tricia, and he then proceeds to say "oh, actually you have to go inside the store to pick it up and pay" .... The cashier was hard to understand because she wasn't speaking loud enough for me to hear her over the music. I wasn't aware you charge extra for lemonade at this location, and each refill is a new charge - that has not been my experience elsewhere. Now to the food. The chicken was just warm, and some parts were overcooked. The fries were salty enough to raise blood pressure and weren't hot like other locations I've visited. Lastly, one of my favorites is garlic bread, which was dry and lacked seasoning (garlic). Temperature was an issue with this item, too. This is the best Raising Cane's location I've been to. I've been to one in Las Vegas, Ontario, and Azusa (the one I frequent the most). But this location's chicken tenders are decently sized and the French fries come out so crispy with a nice coat of salt.
