This Mexican restaurant is right off the street, but I have to say, finding the parking is a bit of a nightmare. There are three businesses all clustered together, each with a separate entrance, so I ended up accidentally parking in a private doctor's office lot and was told to leave. Eventually, I found the small parking lot with just four or five spaces so if it gets busy, it might be tough. But once I got inside, it was worth it! I entered from the back door, which passes through the restrooms on the left and the kitchen on the right, leading to a cute seating area. It's small but super cozy, with a lovely bar filled with lemons, napkins, and lots of hot sauces at each table: at least seven or eight types! But the real star here is the food. The tacos are absolutely incredible! fresh and full of flavor. I ordered three: carne asada, fish, and shrimp. The fish and shrimp both have the option to be fried or grilled, so I went with fried, and they were fantastic. The flour tortillas were perfect, and I also got a pineapple agua fresca. it was ice cold and so refreshing. The price was really reasonable, and I'm honestly surprised this place isn't more popular. I can see it being a hit so, definitely, I'll be coming back soon! read more

Taco Tuesday! I came by for a quick bite for lunch and they offer $1.99 street tacos on Tuesdays. I remember coming by here when it was a different business years ago. Cabo Tacos parking situation is definitely a challenge. There's a lot in the back, but it's super limited and super cramped. Lucky for me I found a spot. The location was slightly busy during the lunch rush. There's plenty of seating inside with a mix of tables and counter top seating. Also, there's an outside patio with tables too. They have free water, a refrigerator for drinks and self serve bar for lemons and peppers The staff was helpful and answered all my questions on the Taco Tuesday offer. The orders took a bit of time, due to the flow of customers. I orders 2 chicken tacos for the $1.99 deal and 1 fish taco. The cost came to around $8!! Crazy good deal! To note: there is a 3% charge for using credit cards. The tacos hit the spot. The tacos were packed heavily with cabbage and salsa. The flavors were addicting and the salsa was a great pairing. The fish taco was bomb! I love Baja style fish tacos because of the crispiness and texture. Everything hit the mark and everything is made fresh to order. I saw they offer $1.99 fish tacos on Wednesday so I might need to return again. Overall, Cabo Tacos was a great lunch spot for me. I'd add them to the list of local Taco Tuesday spots! I was out Door Dashing when my youngest called, decrying how he'd rather not eat leftover spaghetti for dinner. Seizing on our shared hankering for tacos, I went about finding a nearby taco proprietor offering a "Taco Tuesday" promo. As it was already 7:40pm, most places had already shuttered for the day or were about to close, at 8pm. [Unsolicited Pro Tip- Never order from a restaurant within 30m of closing time. Not only is it inconsiderate but you run a small risk of having your food wiped with distinctly unsanitary objects!] I happily stumbled across Cabo Tacos, a small, family run establishment across from Baskin Robbins and 100 yards west of The Donut Man on Route 66. I ordered ten carne asada tacos, a quintet for each of us. As you can see from the attached photos, the family has gone to great lengths to style their restaurant in the maritime blues and seashell creams of the ocean. ...even their restroom is outfitted in littoral hues! Pro Tip- Don't dodge Cabo Tacos, whose specialties include fish tacos and ceviche, just because you're seeking asada!! These tacos were a very pleasant revelation!! Copious, generous portions of well-seasoned meat, minced cabbage, onions, cilantro and even tomatoes. Our bill, for ten well-portioned tacos, salsa and taxes, was $22.48. My youngest son, who at 21yrs old is just beginning to emerge from his teenaged tendency to withhold words, even texted me "Daddy don't be skimpy in your review. This place was fire!" Parking can be a bit of a pain, but it's absolutely worth dealing with for the food at Cabo Tacos. I haven't had a single dish here that I didn't love. Their fish and shrimp tacos are the best. The ceviche is also very good. The service is always friendly, and the place stays impressively clean. read more

Best tacos In the area, I tried two of each and was not disappointed. Only thing I would have loved for the pastor tacos if they had pineapple in them but still taste delicious. The fish tacos were my favorite fluffy and crunchy. I like that they have a variety of hot sauces and their topping bar has the best seasoned jalapeños. The place is clean and has plenty of indoor seating with a nice patio area outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful I'll definitely be back for more. read more

Place had a lot of people, so be aware of a line to order. Burrito was pricey but did have a lot of ingredients which was a plus. The fried shrimp and fish tacos didn't have much flavor, just breading and loaded with the white sauce, it was too much couldn't even taste the lettuce or pico de gallo. read more

*BEWARE, CHECK BAG BEFORE LEAVING* They constantly forget to give you what you ordered if you do to go orders. Gas is 6 bucks a gallon, and I had to drive back to get missing food I paid for. Been coming here every week for 4 months now. The absolute best tacos spot in the entire 10 mile radius. We walked in today on tacos Tuesday to get the deals but they also have deals on Thursday and Friday as well. This is a real tacos spot. The food is the equivalent to what you'd find on a beach in San Diego. The salsa is spicy but not too hot. The ingredients are fresh. Bathrooms? Clean. Parking is located behind the restaurant and is limited to a few spots, so if it looks crowded, just park on the cross street. All they are missing is s full tequila/mezcal bar and I'm happy to run it if they need help coz this place is only going up haha. BTW when we walked in today it was filled with hispanic people and contractors, so you know it's good. I'll be here every Tuesday and Friday. read more

I called in the order but wished I had gone in and ordered it instead, because they have a lot of chef's specials. We got Cabo tacos which are really large with flour tortillas, and delicious. We got carnitas and shrimp tacos that are like street tacos on corn tortillas. Delicious. We got taquitos that were big and very good. I only wish they'd been with guacamole instead of salsa. The service is good, friendly and very fast. It's a pleasant shop with a beachy vibe, like a mom and pop cafe. Parking in the back has always worked out for me, but there are only five spots so it could be tricky. Handicapped parking is in the back. read more

Stopped in for taco Tuesday and beat the dinner rush which was awesome! There isn't a lot of parking in the back so street parking might be your best bet, especially if you have a larger vehicle. The tacos were yummy-- I recommend the fish, chicken, and carnitas. Their green sauce is delicious with just the right spice. The service wasn't as friendly as I had hoped, especially when I requested a barbacoa taco. The lady responded to me like I was crazy and told me that they don't have barbacoa even though I told her it was right there listed on the menu. She said it was "scratched" out but I told her it was still displayed. She just rolled her eyes and waited for me to hurry up and proceed with my order. Hopefully someone from the restaurant "scratches" out the board on the far right where it clearly lists barbacoa as a meat option before she is inconvenienced again by someone who dares to request it. read more

Reviews and photos are LIES! I came here because of the those two things. I ordered a grilled shrimp taco and a grilled fish taco. When I got them the portion was absolutely despicable. They put four TINY shrimps on top of a mountain of sauce and vegetables and a pinch of fish on the other taco with the again a mountain of sauce and veggies. These tacos are almost $6 EACH. For those prices they should use a bit more protein. My sister ordered a surf n turf burrito and again with the tiny shrimps that look like they scooped it out of the Cup of Noodles and a TON of sauce and little to none Al pastor. My other sister got two carne asada tacos and they were dry and had 0 seasoning. My grandma got battered fish tacos and it was more batter than fish. The seasoning on all the things were underwhelming. Look at the small takeout fork compared to the shrimp. I get shrimp gets small when it's cooked but this portion was just ridiculous. I brought up my concerns about the protein portion size to the cashier and she said I could either pay for more protein and I said okay well can I get something else because this protein is lacking and she said I would have to buy something new. Didn't even offer to make it right by at least giving me a partial refund. I will never stop by here again and I recommend everyone go somewhere else. I spent $87 on basically no food. read more

They will tell you to either buy another portion of fish or buy another dish even if they gave you a bite size portion of fish on your tacos. They are hiding their bite size portion of fish under a bunch of cabbage and sauce so you don't notice the super small portion. Use to love this place! Unfortunately it's no longer good. We usually get fish tacos, fish ceviche tostada, and bean and cheese burritos. The past handful of times have been a disappointment. There's barely any fish in the tacos, mostly fried batter, and cabbage. The fish ceviche is honestly just cucumber, tomato, and onions. I only found a couple pieces of fish that past couple of times. The last burrito we got was completely burned. The tortilla was black. So I went to ask for a refund on it. The cook came out and started yelling at me telling me that I always take my food back. But not once have I taken anything back. She yelled at me and told me I'm not allowed to get a refund any more. And next time she'll give me a raw tortilla so I won't complain that it's overcooked.
