The Spot Teriyaki (Covina) is a small, no-frills spot with a surprisingly wide menu--everything from teriyaki plates and chicken bowls to ribs and even burgers. The food itself is good and satisfying, especially if you're craving something quick and filling. Portions are decent, but I will say the pricing leans a bit high for what's essentially fast-casual. I paid about $27 for a bowl with avocado and extra meat, and honestly, I couldn't really tell there was extra meat, so that add-on didn't feel worth it. Service at the counter was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The dining area could definitely use a bit more attention--a little tidying up would go a long way in making the space feel more inviting. Also worth noting: they charge a fee for credit card use, so just be aware of that. Overall: Good food and friendly service, but slightly overpriced for what you get. Solid if you're in the area, but with a few improvements, it could be much better.

Oh, I've been shakin', I love it when you go crazy You take all my inhibitions Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back... 5/5 Food Ol' reliable and a staple in Covina. Bowls or burgers your choice. The chicken is tender and the Teriyaki sauce gives it good flavor. Be sure if you want hot sauce to ask for it. They sell their Teriyaki sauce as well. 5/5 Parking Plenty of parking around as its next to a salon and DD's Discount. 5/5 Service Dine or call for take out it's bound to hit the hunger spot. This place is usually quick with phone orders not sure about the wait when you eat inside. They have indoor seating only and very limited. If usually need to tame the hunger beast within let this place hit the Spot. Psalm 124:8, God bless

A great place to grab teriyaki bowl. It's not fancy if you're looking for that BUT the food is excellent with a great smell of fresh meat. The place is simple but yet the food keeps me coming back in. The burgers are good too. The food is excellent I Highly recommend and will continue to eat at the spot.

The restaurant is very clean and spotless when you walk in. You can smell the char from the grill when you walk in. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you don't what to get. This place normally has good foot traffic. Since the food made fresh when you order, it takes a bit to get to you but the wait is worth it!

The Large Teriyaki Chicken Bowl ($11.75) is tender, fresh, and filling. Each bite is filled with savory chicken coated lightly in teriyaki sauce. I arrived at The Spot on Friday (near 5:30pm). The order needed 6 minutes. The staff is welcoming and helpful. However, I recommend ordering to-go. The location is loud (from the knives hitting cutting boards). Also, the plaza is dingy; there's an elderly man with a shopping cart near the entrance. I recommend cash since The Spot charges an additional 75 cents for card. Overall, The Spot serves delicious teriyaki. The fresh ingredients, large portions, and savory flavors make this spot shine. I happily recommend. 4.5/5

the pricing is ridiculous. I paid 22$ for a teriyaki beef plate with avocado and this is how my plate looked. The salad wasn't even properly chopped And the avocado was rotten! Highly disappointed and never coming back. It was a waste of money and time.

I found a bug in one of the bowls I ordered it looked like a sesame seed at first, but then it started to move. Completely disgusting and unacceptable. I had ordered three bowls, and while the other two were plain, only one had the issue. When I called to request a refund, they refused to handle it over the phone and insisted I bring the food back in person. That's not just poor customer service it's insensitive and inconvenient, especially after *they* served me contaminated food. Expecting a customer to return something that already contains a bug just to get a refund is unreasonable. I'm shocked by how they handled the situation. This experience has definitely made me rethink ever ordering from here again.

Talk about hole in the wall! I would've never thought a little spot in a plaza that's tucked away in a corner can deliver so much flavor! We ordered take out and the lady behind the counter seemed busy - ringing us up and answering the phone at the same time. She was on the phone and then proceeded to ask us if we wanted anything else, like we shouldn't have assumed she was asking whoever she was talking to on the phone. It would've been nice if she would've just taken a second to take the phone order or ringing us up, not at the same time but that's just me. We ordered 4 chicken and beef teriyaki plates and the total came out to around $70. So it is a bit pricey but we definitely got a lot of food. The bags were heavy! The chicken and beef were both cooked well. The chicken didn't feel dry and the beef had a nice char to it. The teriyaki sauce was a smidge on the saltier side but I thought it was deliciousssss. I didn't even use the extra sauce that came with it because what they served on the plate was enough! The side salad that came with it could use a lot of help though. The dressing tasted very processed? Like something was just kind of off about it. It made the cucumbers taste like pickles.. idk hahahah I was quite puzzled. If you try it, you let me know if it's just me!

Lil hole in the wall that my wife had tried before. We got 2 beef and chicken plates and a small drink that came out to $38 DOLLARS!!!! Thats insane!!! The door was closed and the restaurant was stuffy as hell. Someone left the door open and then a breeze came in which cooled it down inside but they quickly shut the door. I do not recommend eating there as it was too stuffy for my liking. Service was fine but the food was missing something. It didn't taste bad but I wouldnt necessarily be telling all my friends about it. It is what it is

I guess I'm not that partial to teriyaki! The establishment gets plenty foot traffic. Wife and I shared the combo chicken/beef bowl. The beef was fine but the chicken not. If I go back I'll try their teriyaki burger!

A liminal experience that you should try experiencing too…read more Food: I did THE DH (fancy) and I think it changed my life for the better. Combo: fries and a Diet Coke (for the flavor y'all). THE DH is one of a kind - dry aged beef that doesn't actually feel like ground beef but like they minced it by hand so each bite feels like it still has the texture and mouth feel of thinly sliced minced beef. It is juicy to the point that the aju was dripping down my arm, yet it wasn't greasy. The outside was crispy like they let the grill carmelize the outer layer of the patty and then they left the inside ever so slightly pink (it's not normally my thing and it's not for everybody but for THIS burger I make an exception). The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside like shoestring fries and the inside was like slightly firmer than mashed potatoes - not soggy, crispy yet soft. Ask for ketchup and they bring out the bottle with a smile like you know what you're doing. Service: friendly, knowledgeable about the menu (they've tried everything and can tell you what's what), they look like they're having a good time, are attentive if you need something but also know when to leave you in peace to experience everything the burger has to offer. Ambiance: it is in a food hall similar to Rodeo 39, the bar seating is exactly what I wanted, Amboy's particular stall had the right vibe, was the only place playing good music, and of all the food stalls their service members were the only ones not on their phone and were the only ones who looked like they actually might like their job and being there rather than anywhere else in the world. Anyway, you should go try this place because it was unexpectedly really good (and I even expected it to be good going into it).

A couple of counters and seats are looking a little run down but really only adds to the charm. The place has been here since like 1965 - what do you want! What was super cool was how many locals walked in while I was there - and Kathy knew each and every one of them, and what they usually ordered. I believe I had a veggie omelette of some sort - sorry, I meant to write this review right after but I'm doing it a week later - which I had the option of toast, biscuit or a pancake on the side. I chose the pancake and it was yummy. The omelette was made to perfection and they didn't mind when I asked if I could get feta instead of the cheese it normally came with. Super cute spot.
