Absolutely terrible service, messed up my order on the speaker because you can't listen, then you're rude at the window & mess up my order completely & the manager looks at you with her mouth hung open & asks what you want her to do about it. Visited this Cane's location a few times so far. On this occasion, we dined in. They make the food to order so it's always hot and delicious. This visit was no exception. There aren't a lot of menu items, so preparing the food is usually quick. The chicken is delicious. The breading is a little crunchy and the flavor is excellent. The chicken is moist, tender, and delicious. The dipping sauce that they provide is pretty good, but I wish they offered different sauces, such as buffalo flavor. The french fries were good, but not Five Guys great. They didn't give us any coleslaw. The service was fast and friendly and I suspect we'll be back many more times. read more

If I could give this review nothing I would. HUGE HEALTH HAZARD and honestly this location needs reported and should be shut down. My friends and I got food from here one night and as we were eating my friend spits something in her hand and it was clear as day a fingernail . We stopped eating immediately and called them. The girl who answered brushed it off saying their procedures would make it impossible. When asking for a manager they then told me they were busy... only after expressing that we weren't trying to get anyone in trouble but just wanted them to know incase it's a supplier issue and not them. Yes, it's chicken. Just chicken, but it's delicious chicken. Chicken so good I drove 3 hours from Detroit to eat. Chicken that's consistent in every state I've been too. Please, Raising Canes, open up in Michigan! The menu is simple but it's delicious. A sandwich simply comes with 3 strips inside, lettuce, cane sauce and the bread. It's basic but soft and fluffy. The coleslaw is yummy and so is the sauce. Together they're the perfect combination. I will probably drive another 3 hours to get to Raising Canes again...but it's going to be a while before I attempt that again. The service was okay, definitely not Chick-fil-a but still decent. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened. We've heard only good things. We came in at the spur of the moment so we weren't really hungry. We split a 4 piece meal. The chicken was so fresh and juicy. The breading was perfectly fried and not overbearing. They only have the one sauce which was just ok to me. I would prefer bbq or something but it wasn't bad. The coleslaw was really fresh and tasty. I usually don't like any but theirs was good. The fries were really good but not amazing. Now the Texas toast was to die for! Soft on one side and toasted on the other. Delicious! The sweet tea is much better than McD's and I really like theirs. I definitely recommend this place. It's super busy and you may want to bring some wipes for your table, but really yummy. read more

I have to give it to them. I have been to RCane's all over the place but this is by far the most busy I have ever been to but even with the lack of the dining room due to COVID but even before that, they are efficient. They work quickly and provide consistent quality. The line might be long but it moves quickly. I worked at Cedar Point for 2 years, I am a queue expert lol. I give it to them for their hard work and I think it shows with the chronic crowds they have. I find the fries to be cooked just properly for RC's and there isn't a greasy component like the Cbus RCs. Good job Kent RC, set the bar! read more

I was a little nervous it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I think it did. It gets so busy that they had two cops directing traffic through the drive-thru lane, but it only took about 20 minutes. Everything was really good. The lemonade wasn't too sweet or from concentrate, it tasted homemade. The fries were average crinkle fries, but dipped in Cane Sauce (yummmmm), they were awesome. The chicken was white, juicy and so tasty. My wife doesn't like coleslaw, but enjoyed it here. Loved the Texas toast as well. It was busy but the workers were friendly and got everyone through quickly. They enjoyed seeing our dogs, so you know they're good people. There seemed to be plenty of space to eat inside. I'd recommend that. I didn't go in, but the decor looked nice inside. A ton of jerseys on the wall and pictures of local athletes and actors from KSU/Kent Roosevelt. Ok been here 2x within a few days of each visit. First visit the experience was good. Ate my chicken fingers and fries and toast all good. Chicken is very crispy and moist. Prices are a decent for the portion size. I think it's worth the money. Also first visit we got served very quickly even though the restaurant was busy. Food hot and fresh. 2nd visit still very crowded. Wait time tripled. Easily tripled. The front counter girl calling names was very blasé and said "sorry for the wait" to everyone but truly didn't sound like she meant it. Don't say it if you don't mean it. I hate the attitude. There was an older gentlemen waiting for his food who kept inquiring. She kept blowing him off. It was really sad to watch. He just wanted his order and you do to need to be that way. Here is another complaint. Also the lemonade that they serve is really very good. But you have to pay $.30 cents for a refill. Ok that's fine but the attitude girl at the front counter needs to be a bit nicer about saying that. And you need a sign or to say that somewhere. I saw no such information. It's not the $.30 cents but it is. If you want me to pay for more.... which is stupid it should be free. Then tell me early so I can choose a refillable drink if need be. Bottom line. Chicken good. I know a lot of people who LOVE Raising Cane's and are obsessed with the fact that it's in Kent now. I stopped here on a whim when I was in the area at the recommendation of friends. I ordered the box combo with four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Cane's sauce, texas toast and coleslaw. I am an extremely not picky person so I will try just about anything. The chicken fingers were just fine. Nothing out of the ordinary for me. I honestly cannot remember much about the meal. Which isn't a good or a bad thing. It did the trick for a quick dinner. Yes, I am a fan. My wife, not so much. But she is not known to have a sophisticated pallet like I do. First, they do chicken strips, toast, coleslaw and french fries. There may be something else in there, but that is really pretty much it. You have the strips on up in their combo plate. So let me start with why the wife does not like them. First and only try for her was take out. So by the time we ate, they were cold and the fries were cold... For two '4 strip' plate, you will pay about 17 and some change. So she was totally put off. I, having the sophisticated pallet, took all of that into consideration. So I went back and ate in. All hot and fresh and awesome. They have crinkle fries, that I normally do not like, but these were really good. The 4 strip meal is a good portion of food, but so is three strips, and you can save a couple of bucks. The sauce you get is awesome. So if you are looking for a change, this will do it for you. read more

I don't know what all the hype is about. This placed was packed forever and even had local police directing traffic because everyone claimed it was awesome stuff. I personally think that everyone can't cook and has lost their tastebuds. The chicken was fine. Just and only fine. Nothing spectacular. Honestly? I could do better at home. Oh wait! I have!!!! My home cooking is better than this! Pop some fries in the oven and you are instantly better than Caine's fries. The special sauce is Old Bay mixed in mayo. The slaw is bland. I wasn't very impressed. I ordered the box combo with a coke at the drive-through. My biggest problem with this food is that it comes in a Styrofoam container with holes for venting. Despite the holes it still causes the french fries and chicken to steam and get wet. The crinkle cut fries were good and tasted as expected. The chicken was probably my biggest disappointment because it was rather bland. I didn't see any spices in it at all. I also thought the coleslaw was equally bland. The toasted bread was all right but once again it was wet. From toasted bread was alright but once again it was wet from the steam. Sadly the Coke with the mini crushed ice was probably the best part of the whole meal. Next time I try this place I will dine in to see if the french fries and chicken are any crispier. read more

I was super excited to find out that they were building one here, I've been seeing pictures on social media and couldn't wait to try. I came here twice and the service has been great. One thing right off the bat, the lemonade fell short of great, it's kind of going in the right direction, but falls off a cliff. To the main event....the tenders, fries, and sauce are a Trilogy of flavor. The first time me and my wife tried the chicken tenders she had to turn the light on in the car to make sure the chicken was done, the chicken was not only done!!! So I've been to canes on multiple occasions, mainly in the Columbus area. I'm not sure what's going on at this location, maybe it's that they don't have any other locations nearby to hold them accountable, but this specific location is HORRENDOUS. Mind you, the attached pictures are immediately after opening my box, not a bite had been eaten. For some reason their portions are a quarter of the size of every other canes I've been to in Columbus. I bough the box combo and of my four tenders only one exceeded 2 inches in length, my toast was dry and cold, and I had not even half a container of fries. It's not that I need more food, but for what you're paying and for what I know other locations supply this is a MASSIVE RIPOFF. At every other location I can't even finish my food, but this location is a pathetic example of Canes. Maybe someone from Columbus will come and show them how it should be done. No shame to the customer service I had, they were all nice, must be a training or management issue. But definitely makes me not want to come back. read more

I ordered the 6 pc meal and it was around 11-12$ which seems over priced. It was very filling tho. I was very hungry and couldn't finish my meal. The chicken fingers were very good, crispy and tender. However they could become soggy quickly if not eaten soon after ordering. french fries were on par with frozen store bought crinkle cut fries. Texas toast was bland. I swapped the coleslaw for more fries, which was a nice option but I wish they had more side options. I would like to see sides like green beans and mashed potatos and gravy, but I get it, its a chicken finger joint.. What I dont get is the sauce selection, they offer a house made dipping sauce from the movie Step Brothers with every order, which is a mayo ketchup and spice blend. Not my forte. They also offer honey mustard (I think is also house made) and Louisiana hotsauce packets. I was suprised they do not offer bbq sauce! I expected maybe a mild and a hot version of bbq sauce but no.
