Stopped with my mom on our way home from running her errands and was surprised by the taste and quality! Mom ordered a 3 pc fish and chips, I ordered the 2 pc. We probably waited close to 10 min at the drive thru window, but we knew that meant fresh fish and fries so we didn't mind the extra time to chat. Once home, I opened the box to find two big crunchy pieces of fish, two hush puppies and a healthy serving of fries. The fries and fish were both still crisp, even after the car ride. The fish pieces were big and chunky. The hush puppies were much better than I remember - I rarely eat them and finished both. On my drive from Cincinnati to Cleveland, this was my dinner stop. This is the only remaining free standing Arthur Treacher's in America. I remember AT from way back in the day, as they had one in Honesdale, PA, a small town near where my Mom and Dad grew up. My Grandma used to LOVE Arthur Treacher's. I went with a fish and 2 piece chicken combo, and subbed out my fries for extra hushpuppies. The guy at the speaker let me know they would be making everything fresh, so it might take a few minutes (Fine by me!). How was it? Fish and chicken- Super hot, fresh as can be, golden brown. The pieces of fish and chicken seemed a bit skimp though, honestly. Shrinkflation probably? I liked the fish better than the chicken. I dumped their packets of malt vinegar on everything. Good stuff. Hushpuppies- These were the star of the show. Cooked golden brown, they were little balls of heaven. Their hushpuppies are better than others in the fish and chip game. They were a little sweet, and nice and fluffy and crunchy. Really good hushpuppies! Would I come back? If I lived nearby, absolutely! Honestly, I think I prefer the taste of LJS over Arthur Treacher's, but for old time sake, and support of a dying restaurant brand, I would definitely come back and support them! read more

Lots of childhood memories with Arthur Treachers. I grew up having Arthur Treachers nearby in Stark County. However, times have changed and this location in Cuyahoga Falls in the closest to me now (32 minutes away). There are some childhood orders and memories that make you smile and you're willing to drive to relive them. For me, I love the chicken sandwich pack with the chicken sandwich, chips (fries), and my delicious Mountain Dew from the fountain machine. Don't forget to add my childhood favorite, a side of cheese sauce to dip your chips (fries) into... yum!!! Staff is usually friendly and all those Arthur Treacher lovers seem to enjoy a trip down memory lane. This is one of the last free standing Arthur Treacher's in the country. According to Wikipedia as of 2023 there are only 3 left. If you are adventurous and want to experience some of Americana give this place a try. The setup is typical fast food but they have British style fish and chips. Food is good especially considering it is fast food. Better than the fish you get at the burger joints. The service is always friendly. I used to live here and my wife and I would come here regularly and I was always impressed by the friendly staff. read more

I hate when companies do this! Shrinkflation has hit Arthur Treacher's. Instead of raising their prices, they have decided to shrink their meals. I went to Arthur's and got their fish/chicken combo. When I got home and opened it, the fish pieces were about 2/3 the size they were the last time I visited. They gave me two tarter sauces for the fish, and I had left-over sauce because the fish pieces were so small! The chicken pieces were about the size of 4 chicken nuggets! If they had just raised their prices, I would have kept coming back. Now, I won't be visiting them anymore. Such a shame. read more

The last location standing from the Arthur Treacher's fish and chips chain that had a decent run in the late '70s, early '80s. You'd be entirely forgiven if you didn't know that Treacher was a British character actor popular in the '30s, '40s and '50s who just happened to have a recipe for flakey fried cod that he turned into the centerpiece of his fondly remembered eponymous chain. Unlike most fish and chips which I find to be overly greasy requiring an immersive soak in Clearasil before they're ready for human consumption, Treacher's method yielded crunchy and succulent cod morsels that were beautifully rendered and delicious. How this renegade outpost manages to stay in business is anyone's guess but the menu is exactly as I remember and while not worth the trip on its own, is a required pit stop stop if you happen to be in the area. Now if they can only bring back Kenny Rogers Roasters. Now... that would be a worthwhile road trip. Five easy stars. read more

Best part of this place is the drive thru. If you go in you run the risk of smelling like deep fried fish for the rest of the day. It's pretty pungent. The fish and chicken is as you remember, crispy and delicious. The chips/fries are also as remembered. Food is good and quality seems the same. It did not disappoint. Best bet is to buy the boats and split. You get more and you can share. Especially if there is at least 2 of you. Staff friendly and line moves quick. Cost went up this year but so has everything. Went to get lunch for myself and coworkers. Sign says they open at 10:30 am. There were 2 cars at the drive thru and myself and another outside the doors waiting for them to open. At 11:00 am they still did not open the doors. Others drove off I went to the drive thru to order. When they asked for my order I asked why they did not open at 10:30. Another guy got on the speaker and said" do you want to give us your order and if not I do not care go somewhere else" Needless to say I was flabbergasted and I did go somewhere else. All I can say is wow! I right this as I sit in the parking lot after dining in. Can you say nostalgia?! I'm 53 yrs old and grew up on AT and most are gone. A friend told me about this one and I drove 35 minutes from Cleveland to go. Place was clean! Polite and fast service! Had my meal within minutes of walking in. It was quiet! Cool!...You could actually feel the AC. Most places now a days has very little AC on for their customers and you just shop or sit in a restaurant hot! So really kudos for that too!! You could see the people in there working keeping the place clean! We as a society need to keep this sort of practice up like the good old days!! I complimented them as I left and even gave a small tip and I never do that for take out. Really great job guys! I will be back!! Best eating out experience I've had in a long time!!! Visited the Cuyahoga Falls location recently. Outstanding food! Crispy fish. Fresh fries, onion rings and coleslaw. As this is the only location in northeast Ohio, it is a 45 minute drive for us. We think it's worth it. This restaurant is the cleanest one we have been to in a number of years. Bathroom, dining room, counter area. Spic & span! Years ago, there was a store in our community. We patronized it for 30+ years. When it closed, we journeyed to the store at Turney & Rockside in Cleveland. This unit eventually closed also. We will continue to enjoy this food for as long as they are in business. The quality is the same today as when they opened. They no longer offer the apple and lemon pies once on the menu. read more

I could tell Christian takes his job seriously. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I ordered a fish and chips family meal, along with extra hush puppies and sampler of chicken and shrimp... Arthur treachers is a nostalgist taste for me. I grew up with one on the end of my street but it has since closed and this Arthur treachers in cuyahoga falls is the last of its kind! It still taste like so remember it 30 years ago. We enjoyed Fish , Shrimp & Chips, and of course you have to get the hush puppies. The hush puppies were my favorite because of their light, crunchy tasty batter. The shrimp was ok.. it's drive through shrimp so it's really what you'd expect - a lot of breading and a small shrimp inside. It's a long wait during lent but any other time of the year, it's normal drive thru times. If anything, go check it out because it's the one and only. read more

I frequented the drive through this evening to order my family's dinner. My order included: 2 original fish and chips, 3 extra hush puppies and a small clam chowder. When I got home, I found that one of the meals was missing and I also had six extra hushpuppies. I outreached, by phone, to speak w a manager as I thought perhaps I had gotten someone else's order. The manager made no attempt to resolve. He stated that sometime we are nice and give extra hushpuppies. The hushpuppies tasted very old and past their fresh date and is most likely they added 3 extra to the order. The manager closed the telephone conversation by stating "have a blessed day and fuck off" Shame in you Arthur Treachers. Such lack of customer service and respect. read more

Last time I went to an Arthur Treacher's was in 2020. It seems some of the food is different now. I got a chicken sandwich snack pack, but nothing tasted like I remember. The chips (fries) tasted different and so did the chicken sandwich and lemon love pie. The biggest difference with the pie was the appearance and texture of the fried crust. It was missing the little fry bubbles which means something was different about the preparation. As a consequence it also didn't taste the way I remember it. I only took a few bites and threw the rest out. Wasn't going to be worth the calories. Next time I'll have to try the fish and the hush puppies to see if they're still the same. I hope so. read more

OMG! I was very shocked to see an Arthur Treacher's still existed on a recent trip back home to see family in Ohio. I have vivid childhood memories of eating at these places way back in the day. The great news is it tastes just the way I remember it. The huge white fish triangles in their signature "wavy" wet batter are still ridiculously crunchy! The hush puppies are crunchy on the outside and steaming on the inside in all there corniness. lol! The steak fries are crunchy with crinkles which help give a firm bite. It came with 2 pieces of fish, 2 hush puppies, and some chips (fries). The fish and chips were very crisp. The hush puppies had a crisp shell and very warm and soft on the inside. Still, if I lived anywhere near here I'd probably be a regular, but since I'm staying near Charlotte NC not so much... Have been jonesing for this since spring and needed to nail it down. OMG! This place takes me back as a kid! I got the original sampler. Fish,chicken and shrimp along with chips and hush puppies. I don't even know where to start. The fish was hot and had a very nice crispness to it. The chicken also was hot and very tender along with having a crispy crunch. The shrimp were just like the fish and chicken, hot ,crispy and tender. The hush puppies had a great crispy coat and a soft and fluffy center. The flavor of the hush puppies took me back to a time when my mom would take us to our local Arthur Treacher's. I'm only sad that it's so far away from where I live. The Cuyahoga Falls location is the best with really great people and food. Went there in Sept. 2020 from Painesville, Ohio. Fish was outstanding (quite fresh and perfectly crispy), chips were great (which surprised all of us as the ones that used to be near us were ALWAYS pretty bland, chalky and tastless, 1 at Great Lakes Mall food court, 1 across from Richmond Mall (ex-girlfriend worked there and always made my food perfectly. So I would respond with Steak Diane and Duchess Potatoes or Beef Wellington with Dauphinois), and 1 on Lakeshore Blvd. down the road from Shoregate)) hush-puppies like totally rocked (LIKED TOTALLY), and the Clam Chowder and Onion Rings were Bangin. Most places we aren't crazy about the coleslaw and end up throwing it out or just not order it at all but theirs is really quite good. It tastes fresh, creamy and still has great texture. We would eat their 2 or 3 the times a week if we didn't live an hour away in the Concord-Chardon area. The service was excellent, the crew are warm, friendly, polite and helpful. We may very well go back for another visit within the next week or so. It is so worth the hour long drive to get there. Some folks may call this fast food but to us it was just great food served quickly !!!
