I've never had Culver's but have heard about them, so I gave them a try during a recent road trip. In the day and age, of industrial type interiors at fast food places, Culver's actually has a counter operated by attentive, friendly staff making sure everything is smooth. I ordered the deluxe single and a medium cheese curd. The burger patty is thin, so I could've ordered a double to make it beefier, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The toppings were fresh, and from what I know the buns are buttered and toasted. I honestly didn't pick up on the extra flavor the buttered, toasted bun was supposed to give the burger. It was still a good burger, in my opinion comparable to Wendy's in the taste department. The cheese curds were fried to a nice golden brown, and the curds squeaked as I gobbled them up. If you're not familiar with fried cheese curds, think fried cheese sticks but in smaller pieces, and a little heavier. If I'm on the road with another burger craving, I'd stop at Culver's again. read more

Culver's is a place I like to have at least one meal at when in the Canton area. I like their fish and chips, chicken tenders, fish sandwich, pot roast sandwich, and of course their crinkle cut fries. I actually have never tried one of their burgers but maybe on my next trip. Their fish in the fish sandwich and fish and chips is really good for probably being frozen. They have their own root beer and diet root beer which are really good. Service is always friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is usually pretty clean and the times I've been there, pretty busy. They have online ordering which is helpful when picking up "curdside". read more

Came to Canton Ohio to see the pro football hall of fame induction. Seeing as though we don't have one in NY, we had to try Culver's. The butterburger was delicious. Almost like a smash burger and the onion rings were crisp and salty in flavor. They were tasty. Then we ordered the custard. Oh the custard! I got a chocolate custard concrete. It was soooo good. I'm used to Abbot's custard in Rochester NY. Abbot's is fantastic. This stuff is comparable if not better. Thicker than abbots. Culver's is a Wisconsin creation supposedly though. I was coming into this review as I have never had culvers in my life up to this point in my life because it was just just too far from where I live but I decided to make the journey down to Canton, Ohio (Belden Village Area) to go and try culvers because I keep seeing advertisements for them. So the score would be a bit higher on my rating but I'm a dummy when it came to finding this place as I got on sarta bus number 45 at 1015am as it departed from the belden village transit center as I was thinking it was going to go by the restaurant and it didn't so I did not get to the restaurant till almost 12pm but I'm putting this on me I'm a dummy and after I finished basically walked all the way back to the belden village transit center but enough of this let's get on with the actual review. I arrived at culvers just before 12pm and well and hungry so I decided to get the classic butter burger with all the toppings that usually come on it and added sautéed mushrooms and raw onion and the burger was fantastic all of the ingredients were fresh and the burger was extra buttery and delicious and as my side igot the Wisconsin cheese curds with no sauce because I was not sure if I was supposed to use sauce and they were nice and warm and fresh from the fryer and I would definitely get the cheese curds again and as for desert I decided to get a chocolate chip cookie dough concrete made with chocolate ice cream and boy I wish I had gotten a second one as it was that good. Now back to the burgerit was so fresh warm and delicious the only thing I could compareĺ it to would be is if I made it at a backyard barbecue with family it was that good. As for the restaurant itself it was very clean, net and tidy and looked amazing. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I came in and the young lady who was on register was very polite and helpful as this was my first ever time here and had answered all of my questions if I had any. I think my meal was also reasonably priced it came out to a total of $16.50 which I think is a good deal I think the only thing I would change next time is I would get a single Patty instead of a double. Let's just say if I'm in the area again I will come back to Culver's because I had an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this list and on a scale of one to 10 I would give my experience about an 8 out of 10 it would be higher but I'm taking points off for me being a dummy and not being able to find the place. read more

there is a employee here named Debbie that is an angel on earth. Every week a very large group of disabled individuals comes into Culver's to enjoy dinner. Debbie is so extremely patient, understanding, caring and kind towards everyone. You can tell how much of an impact her kindness makes to them and everyone around her. TERRIBLE!! Food is worse than awful!! We ordered a double burger and a chicken breast sandwich. BOTH came out over cooked and black, black, black!!! Why would anyone even give that to anyone to eat??? We went back to counter to return the HORRIBLE food... Realized all were kids working there, except for one older nice lady/retiree. Here's the thing. Culver's was, in a word: fine. It's just that I can toss a rock and hit six other places where you can get a burger and fries. (Coaches, McD's, Wendy's, Smoke, Texas Roadhouse, Bubba's 33); and even steak burgers specifically at Steak and Shake and Freddy's, to name two, both within a three minute drive. I got a bacon steak burger. It was good. But again, it's the exact same thing I can get at S&S and Freddy's. The sandwiches are literally interchangeable, and I wouldn't know the difference. Not to say that it was bad. Because it wasn't. They all make a decent steak burger. I also tried the famous cheese curds I've heard everyone talk about. They were just ok. The highlight for me was actually the honey mustard sauce that the girl who cashed me out suggested. Made for good dipping. As taste goes, I think I prefer the ones you can get at Sheetz. Again, they weren't bad, just kind of average. Lastly, I got a strawberry malt. If this place is gonna survive, it's probably gonna be on the milkshakes/malts/custard etc. The malt from Culver's felt upscale. Made with real chunks of strawberries and malt powder you could taste. S&S and Freddy's feel kind of mass produced and cheap. The Culver's experience was a good one by comparison. I'd imagine that the sundaes and just regular old frozen custard are good too. I know this review probably sounds bad, and I don't mean for it to. The food was fine, the employees were great, and the space was perfectly suited to eat a meal. I just don't understand why a place like this would open in a location that is already overly saturated with places that do the exact same thing they do. I wish them the best. I always want to see local places thrive. I'm just of the opinion that if you're going to go head to head with people doing the same thing you are, then you better blows my socks off. Culver's was a fine meal. But it didn't give me any reason to come rushing back. And I'm afraid for them, that a lot of other people are gonna feel the same way. I would, under normal circumstances give our meal 4 stars. When we eat in, the fried fish rivals that of any fish house. The fries? Meh. The coleslaw? Average. But that fish. . .exceptional. We LOVE Culver's fried fish. And we try to have the walleye when it's in season. But we ordered 2 pcs to go the other night, and they were wrapped together in a burger wrap and put in a paper bag. By the time we got home, all the breading was wet, soggy, and stuck to the wrapper. The fish is NOT cheap, and to not be able to enjoy it. . .VERY disappointed. Do better, Culver's read more

Messed up our orders and wouldnt replace the missing Cheese Curds or Pretzel bites we didnt get from the drive thru without paying again. The manager that looks like an acne covered version of porkie the pig standing at a whopping 5'2 and 200lbs was extremely rude about it as well and honestly look like a health hazard handling the food. Been in a couple of times since they opened. The frozen custard is the highlight. Vanilla is fresh and creamy, try the mint chip flavor of the day- outstanding! Now for the bad part, each time we've been since the opening the place gets a little more dirty, ie overflowing trash bins, a mess at the pop machine. The last time the restrooms were filthy, the floor was so sticky my grade school son mentioned how gross it was. The counter help were nice and the orders came out in good time. The burgers were good, the fries just ok. but something was missing or mixed up w/ every order! The kids meal had the adult burger and was missing the juice! The condiments weren't correct on one sandwich, and another had cheese that wasn't supposed to be on it. One table companion didn't get a cup for her drink. When the sundae's came out, the first one was directly handed to our granddaughter, which she started eating, and it wasn't hers. I've eaten here about 4 times and each time it's gotten worse. I understand labor is hard to hire but the counter help is poorly trained. I have been given the wrong order, no table number and servers take my food back because they don't know whose order it is. My last time I got a double cheeseburger and my Mother a crispy chicken sandwich. The burger was ok but the chicken was terrible. It tasted like it was fried in fish oil and had a bad aftertaste. Absolutely horrible! One out of three orders was right. The thing that absolutely irritates me is that I have to wait for the wrong order. I would definitely check your order before leaving the drive-through. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME! But wait there's more! I went in to get my order corrected and saw a culvers employee hustling a little old lady over coleslaw. He chastised her because she didn't have a receipt. I'm a little surprised to read the other reviews, because we had a great experience! I had heard good things about Culver's in other places, so I was excited to try it. I found it to be very clean; in fact, there was someone wiping tables and cleaning up the drink station almost constantly during our visit. Maybe they read the earlier review about cleanliness and corrected it? Now as for the food: The cheddar melt was fantastic.....perfectly grilled bread and flavorful burger patty, cheese and onions. The turtle sundae was delicious. Creamy custard and perfect portion of nuts, hot fudge, and caramel. I ordered the mashed potatoes as a side, instead of fries because my child loves them and he ate every last bite. My dining companion loved his mushroom/Swiss burger. Our food came out way quicker than I expected and I would go as far to say the entire experience was nothing less than excellent. read more
