After all these years we finally decided to try Bonefish Grill in North Canton. We honestly have no major complaints. The service was great, the restaurant has a nice vibe and the menu offers something for everyone. We had a gift card so we decided to try a couple appetizers, we of course got the infamous Bang Bang Shrimp, they were good, but nothing mega special. We also got the Blackened Chicken Egg Rolls, another solid appetizer. As far as the main courses go, I got the Cod Imperial and my wife got the Bone-In Fontina Pork Chop. Everything was delicious, dinner entree prices seem kinda high for the potion size you receive. We enjoyed our meals and at the end of the day don't really have any bad things to say. Everything was spot on. For the first time we didn't have to wait to get a table. It looks like more and more restaurants have lower volumes. The drinks were okay and a little too sweet. I'm on their email list and the last few months all the email newsletters have all been "come in for brunch!". We'd gone for brunch and loved it a few years ago and since brunch was back I was excited, especially since my kiddo is picky and breakfast foods are one of the few things she eats. Anyway, book a reservation and arrive only for them to give us a regular menu. "Oh we're here for brunch" I say, "Can we have the brunch menus?". "We're not doing that today". "But it's Sunday, and your website and emails all say it's Saturday and Sunday?" "Yes, but the manager said we're not doing that." Sigh. Anyway, we left. A friend and I ate at Bonefish Grill on Friday. It was a memorable experience. We were seated at a booth in the bar area. Shannon, our waiter made our meal and visit extra special. He was attentive and made sure our meals were being enjoyed and exactly what we expected. Unbeknownst to him, it was a day we were celebrating my husband's life and passing and Shannon was a positive in our celebration. Our experience is different each time--service is not very consistent, staff spotty in terms of making you feel welcomed, food has gotten way over priced for what shows up on the plate. Food was excellent. Started off with the Bang Bang shrimp as an appetizer which is always amazing. For my meal, I chose the Bonefish Pasta with shrimp and that was good too. The Shrimp in my pasta were BIG! The overall all flavor of the dish was good. The server, Alexis, was sweet. She always had a smile and checked on us twice. She brought out the food right away as it was hot and fresh. BFG (Bonefish Grill) always has a great atmosphere. It has been a few years since we went to Bonefish for dinner and/or cocktails. It had nothing to do with the food. Went there this weekend and had a very good experience. The food as always was good and had the Bang Bang Shrimp for an appetizer, as expected ... Great. The most satisfying aspect was both the refreshing atmosphere and the service! 07/16/23 Had the Tuna Poke Bowl it was great. Wife's fish was greasy and rested on top of the French fries, which made the whole dish a greasy mess. The server Cheri G took it away and credited the bill, then brought another Poke Bowl for my wife. This has got to be a first, she enjoyed eating the raw fish! It was fresh as could be. The Ambiance at Bonefish Grill is just fine, elegant without being ostentatious. Bonefish has always been on again/off again in terms of food quality and service. Today it was off. Waitress was polite and helpful BUT the calamari appetizer had to be reordered. They served my order to someone else. My scallops and shrimp were slightly underdone. It was not completely cooked. The jasmine rice must have been sitting in a warming tray for a long time. It was overcooked. The waitress forgot my coleslaw and it was served late. If this had been my first time, there wouldn't be a second. But this is how Bonefish has been since it opened. Stopped in to have dinner an a few adult beverages. I sat at the bar because usually having dinner at the bar allows me to carry on a conversation with the bartender. Addison was my bartender and server that evening. She explained all the specials they had and also recommended the Cod Imperial which was delicious. As a bartender she was awesome!! She made me one of the best Long Island Iced Tea's I have had in some time. Perfect server and bartender. I would like to also mention one of the kitchen managers Vinny, he came out of the kitchen to make sure my Cod was what I expected and and asked if my side dishes were prepared correctly. Had lunch here recently and food was excellent, bread and seasoned olive oil fresh and delicious, wife and I both had crab corn chowder which was hot and delicious, wife had their classic salad w shrimp and I had cod imperial, both were well prepared and delicious, the server was attentive and got food to us hot from the kitchen, been awhile since we have had opportunity to eat here again, great job at this particular location for this meal, kudos to the staff read more

Terrible service on a very slow day, I will never pay money to dine at an establishment where you let people sit in a booth for over a half an hour and not acknowledge them. We walked out due to poor service and went to another establishment that was way better with awesome service. Not only did the server lose a good tip the establishment lost good customers.Management may need time to retrain their staff to offer better service to know their tables on a slow day. read more

I know it was busy on Father's Day but we drove over an hour expecting the food we use to eat in FL Bonefish. The waitress was awesome the manager so so .... I paid 200 with tip nearly to have soooo many dishes sent back do to the awful dry hard burnt 40 dollar sea bass (poor sea bass) and just everything was cooked like an amateur was thrown in the kitchen to handle pricey high end cuts of meat n fish. I was so heart broken and disappointed. I was so hungry after the 3rd dish I had to eat it but twisted 80% of it. I had to recook the filet at home but wasn't the same .. The entire experience was such a hassle and messed our day up. My daughter had her second salmon come out to be extremely raw seriously pink pink inside and I was concerned she ate part of it not realizing it's raw. Manager tried but i felt awkward requesting to cut the bill down significantly so I just paid it. Some how it was more than what our original dishes cost. He gave a free cheese cake slice that was good. When ppl pay near 200 for 3 ppl to eat we expect it to hold up to its traditional standards. Granted things happen but it was such a waste of food. It was either so over cooked it was dehydrated or so undercooked you it risked parasite exposure or worse ... This is not cool at all!! What happened to BoneFish.... Hire a chef not a really bad cook. I mean, really bad. Upside! Bread was great ! Still same bread and olive oil. Dear Yelpers, Upscale ambiance? They got it. Great service? All over it. But don't get your hopes up beyond that. Bonefish is a serviceable dinner spot for a medium priced night out. Won't blow your socks off, but you won't hate it. (Unless you are a seafood snob). I had the fish tacos that were decent, but felt like I was eating mango salsa in a wrap with a free bites of fish here and there. I'm allergic to shellfish so I couldn't indulge in the Bang Bang Shrimp but they didn't last long on the table so prolly a good app to start the meal. I've driven by a lot as I'm skeptical of any restaurant in Ohio preparing seafood well other than those that put out walleye or perch from Lake Erie. And there aren't many places that can do that well. So we stopped today. The ambiance is nice and it does remind you of a nice seafood place on the shore. Complementary warm bread w seasoned olive oil was nice and the drinks were good. I stuck a safe- cedar planked salmon with a bourbon cherry glaze. The glaze was great, the portion big and the salmon overcooked. A bit dry. The asparagus side was green but not a bright green, over-cooked and a bit mushy. The garlic mashed potatoes- unremarkable. The risotto w herb butter special- tasty but very salty. I was greeted immediately and decided to sit at the bar, the restaurant was not busy however it took forever to be waited on. Downhill from there. Dirty restrooms, overflowing trash. I ordered a filet mignon cooked medium with shrimp with broccoli and side salad. The salad was just leftover lettuce with tomatoes and seeds of some sort.. not appealing. The broccoli as you can see is drenched in sauce and cold, shrimp was WAY overcooked and overseasoned and my medium steak was mooing I swear. We ordered 2 Family Bundles for take out. We got the Grilled Salmon Bundle and Lily's Chicken Bundle for 8 adults. We were celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary and wanted a nice meal worthy of our celebration. We had plenty of food and everyone was pleased with the meal. The Lily's Chicken was delicious! It was a hit with everyone. Topped with mild goat cheese, artichoke hearts, sautéed spinach and served with a lemon basil butter sauce- Super Yum! The salmon was also good- nothing overly special but good. The meal came with several sauces- I thought that was a nice touch- each person could choose which flavor they wanted. The surprise was the SALAD. Usually a salad is either just an ordinary old salad - or- super exotic and some are scared of eating it! BUT.. this restaurant managed to make a not-too-exotic salad that was still interesting for those that want more than lettuce, cucumber and tomato..! It had regular lettuce and grape tomatoes.. but it also had Kalamata olives and sliced rounds of Hearts of Palm. None us knew what they were . I thought it was sliced mozzarella cheese, others thought water chestnuts - then we tasted them.. and googled them ! They were delicious. And they were big enough for picky eaters to avoid if they wanted too. Everything was packed well in the To Go boxes and arrived home in good order. We would definitely go back. read more

We've been passing by Bonefish on the highway for almost 2 years and always say, "We need to try that place." Well, last night we finally did and it's now our favorite spot! The food was absolutely delicious. We were seated right away, our waitress was awesome. Friendly, attentive. We didn't have to wait long at all for anything. We ordered the calamari, my husband got the fish and chips and I ordered the Parmesan Rainbow trout and Brussels sprouts. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous. (We took home a box because we got full) The prices were very fair. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated, clean, music was just right. All the wait staff were clean and well groomed. Oh! Started with the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer. It's good, but I'm perplexed what all the hype is about. I had the imperial cod. It's a decent potion and had some interesting toppings. My guests had steaks with seafood. I noticed the steaks were thin and looked over cooked. My fish was hard and dry all around the edges. The rice was deplorable, and the green beans were very basic and lack luster. I would say the meal was overpriced, and not prepared well. I've learned through this pandemic that I can prepare meals myself at home that are cheaper and much better quality than these chain restaurants. One and done. Will not return. read more

I wanted to review Bonefish on Trip Advisor, however, I just reviewed them last week (5 stars). Apparently, by trip advisor rules I have to wait 30 days. I want to say Jen our Bartender/server was absolutely fantastic! Mike and Matt, two of the managers, were unbelievably awesome! We just celebrated our 41st anniversary tonight. Everything was excellent! Jen, Matt and Mike actually made our day. We had Bang bang shrimp, shrimp pasta, chicken & shrimp dinner and key lime cake. We have a history of celebrating our anniversary at Bonefish grill, often other special occasions too! We love the family bundles. Bundles are great for parties as long as Bonefish keeps the container appropriately filled. We have been huge fans, for decades....even driving to Cleveland before we had a Bonefish in Canton. I just found a menu from our 30th anniversary (11 years ago) that I'll try to share with a picture. It's a nice little piece of "anniversary artwork". Dionda is not very kind to her younger guest I watched her service other older customers very attentive and kind. As she served us half full drinks and ran off with my id as she does every single time. I'm a high tipper over 20% so I don't understand the half service. She talked to another guest the whole time as we had to wait for another as SITTING at the bar. Your younger female guest deserves good service too. read more

We are regular customers, going monthly for drinks and dinner at the bar. Recently, our experience was off kilter. Staff over sharing regarding corporate level issues they were having. Ordered Salmon, got sea bass in error. I was told the fish would be " thrown out". I thought that was wasteful, and accepted the order. I was then told, that the sea bass was " much more expensive " and hopefully that was ok...? The dish was delicious, but I really didn't feel that I should be asked to pay the additional. Staff then said" I told the manager, I'm not in too much trouble"... I'm not sure if they were kidding or not, but that made me feel uncomfortable. In the end the bill had to recalculated twice to account for the errors due to the above....we left not sure if we will ever return. read more

Bonefish NOrth Canton - Very disappointed with service on Mothers Day. We all ate at different times which was not what we're paying for, we all ordered at the same time we should eat together. (table of 5) Also the bus boy came and we had to put our own plates in the bus bin. I don't work there, I shouldn't have to. Food was ok, but not hot.
