I need to begin this review with an apology because I said this restaurant would not last. LOL I first tried this place over 10 years ago on a whim. I kept hearing about "Raising Cane's (ya gotta try it)". So when I had an appointment near a location, I popped in to try the place out. I looked over the menu board. Ok, Chicken Fingers, alright. Chicken Fingers. Chicken Fingers. Chicken Fingers. Chicken Fingers... Wait. WHAT?!? So I ordered the chicken fingers. They were very good. Nice golden brown appearance with the right amount of crunch to it. And that Cane's sauce. Superb. Great job, Raising Cane's. I'll be back! We returned about a month later and I introduced my friends to it. During the visit, I read a little about their history, hoping to see more items on the menu in the near future. Not a chance. I've heard the term, "Stick to what you know" and they did. Still, my friends enjoyed it. I visited a 3rd time with family and said to myself, this is gonna get old with any 'new' frequent flyers around here. If this is all they make, "they're not gonna last long" here in Columbus. I hadn't returned since then because I considered it too far to drive for the same item (which is me being a hypocrite because you all know I'm a creature of habit and often order the same thing from various restaurants - still, I'd like the freedom of choice). I focused my restaurant travels to other restaurants. Later, my son won a school contest and received a $25 gift card to R.C. so we made another trip. Fast forward to 2018. We now have R.C. in Pickerington and my son decided he wanted to go. I told him that I was good on that, but then he offered to treat. *Grabs car keys* We had The Box Combo: Four Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, One Cane's Sauce, Texas Toast, Coleslaw and Regular Drink (22 oz.) and if you pay an additional 30-something cents, you can upgrade your drink to lemonade (trust me, it's worth it). The chicken stripss were just as good as I remember, if not better. Fries were pretty good too - nice and fresh. What stood out, surprisingly enough, was the Texas Toast. I don't remember eating it before and if I had, I don't think it stuck out like that. This bread was awesome! Toasted perfectly, buttered perfectly, tasted perfect! Great way to round out the meal. I'm thinking about going back to try the Sandwich Combo, which is honestly the same meat, but I do like how that bread turned out. I probably won't frequent that place that often because I like variety, but that doesn't mean I won't go. It's great food and definitely a place you want to try out! read more

Passing through and was finally able to stop here and eat. I have always wanted to try out this place and was not disappointed. The chicken came out fresh and hot. Loved the cane sauce and honey mustard. I'm a lover of Texas toast and kicked myself for not ordering an extra one. The staff were so nice and helpful. I can't wait to come eat here again. Oh, it was a pain in the ass. But the food was as good as ever. We got there in the rain, amidst a rush of kids coming from a softball game. It was packed inside, the lot was packed (and poorly designed-be careful!), and it was noisy. We did find a table, and our food came up quick, and by the time we left it was almost empty. We people-watched, and ate, and scowled a bit. But we survived. Sweetie had her usual three-finger and I had "The Box"- four fingers, bread, slaw, fries. Spring for an extra sauce, or you'll need some ketchup from what looks like a beer tap on the counter. Glad I didn't try to fill my glass from it... The chicken, as always, was tender inside, crispy outside. The sauce is the draw. The bread and fries are pretty good too, the slaw is just fair. They do have sweet tea, which is the only way to go. I love canes but seriously, every time it hits lunch hour, I am ALWAYS given the incorrect order and usually don't find out until once I get home for my lunch break. At that point, I don't have time to go back and have them give me my correct order. Or, they barely give me enough fries with my order. Recently, when I ordered Cane's I asked for an Arnold Palmer. I took a sip once I got home, and it was cherry coke . Today, I ordered a side of fries and they gave me a piece of bread . I love their food but accuracy is also important in customer service... Broad drive through (5:45pm, 5/14/2021 "Quan W", Ticket 9048, but the chicken tenders ($1.29) were noticeably smaller. : ( I used to be able to be full with two chicken tenders, but I had to eat three today to get the same amount of meat from them. :( Raising Cane's is now longer any competition to Rooster's A Fun Casual Joint's chicken tenders. They have great chicken tenders there and don't give you skinny pieces of chicken like Raising Cane's. read more

My husband and I do a lot of driving back and forth between Indiana and Pennsylvania. Ohio ends up being a lot of misery that just won't end. Why such a wide, flat state? Why, cruel world?! But our attitude about Ohio has changed a lot since we found out about Raising Cane's. While they have stores throughout many states in the U.S., we first found out about them while driving through our most loathed state, Ohio. And ever since then, Raising Cane's has made Ohio a state worth looking forward to driving through. This particular Cane's is clean and well lit. The entire staff called out a welcome to us when we arrived and the ordering process went quickly and smoothly. If you're a person who is overwhelmed by a lot of menu options then you'll be happy to know that Cane's was made for you. They have chicken fingers and maybe sandwiches made with chicken fingers and that's about it. I've been caffeine free as of late and while their soda machine doesn't offer much in the way of caffeine free option (Hi-C Fruit Punch is about it that I like), they have delicious lemonade that fits the bill perfectly. The chicken fingers always come out blazing hot and with a side of their peppery dipping sauce as well as crinkle-cut fries. The chicken tenders are juicy white meat with a light but tasty breading. They just can't be beat. I look forward to our visits to Cane's and will definitely frequent this particular Raising Cane's location again on our way through! read more

The official Cane's website and Google have the open and close time completely wrong. Corporate should be updating their website according to what the store is actually doing. Website and Google both said midnight on Fridays and Saturday's, fortunately I was skeptical as I know Cane's sucks at updating their information and I was correct. They closed at 9:00pm. I understand there is a shortage and I have no problem with a store being open only when they have the staff to manage, but we are in the year 2022. Updating a website takes no skill or time whatsoever and corporate needs to be on this as it is just a bad representation of how much they care, or should I say don't care about their customers. read more

I went through the drive thru tonight, I was worried when I pulled in because the line was wrapped entirely around the building. But wow, they were so quick and efficient. The line moved quickly and steadily and I got my food quickly. I was so impressed. My daughter was very happy, it's her favorite place to eat and she had surgery today so this was her treat. read more

Excellent customer service rolling thru the drive-thru at this Canes. Nyla was very accommodating as we realized wanted to add to our order, and she was more than happy to alter our total. A smile on her face and a gracious voice. No smirking, just genuineness. I'm not a big Canes fan, based on their single ketchup-based dipping sauce they offer (yuck!), so it's been over four years since my review. After a 15 minutes drive home, are food was still hot, Fries still good flavor, great chicken fingers. I do like Cane's coleslaw, and glad to see it was the same taste as my previous stop. We made it they the drive-thru just in time, too, as there was a sold line six cars strong as we pulled out. read more

Good chicken here. Much better than KFC but still fast food. Their pepper sauce is insanely good which is part of the draw to this place. Canes make chicken fingers, fries, texas toast and coleslaw and that's it. The fact that they aren't trying to make burgers, steak, fish, etc means that they can just focus on their few foods they do make so they make them very well. Definitely worth going to as the prices are pretty low but their food will not make you skinnier. read more

My favorite place to eat at when I'm in Pickerington. I love the canes sauce! Food has always been fresh no matter which chicken I'm pickin. The tea is delicious, the employees are always extremely kind, and the store is always clean. I've gone to this location multiple times a day, with no shame. The Texas toast is rather plain, and I never eat the coleslaw. But the chicken fingers are the best in all the land. It's a little expensive, but so are Panera and chipotle so that I guess doesn't matter. read more

This location is hit or miss, but lately they have been pretty fantastic. I always go inside even if i'm getting it go so i don't have to rush through the drive thru to have chicken i could break a window with. Had two guys that actually seemed to enjoy their job, told them i wanted everything fresh because i had a bit of a drive and they obliged quickly. 15 minutes later i get home and everything is perfect. A week later on my way home i stopped in again and received the same experience. Omg, I NEVER thought I'd move to Pickerington from ATL and say this BUT, these chicken fingers r waaaaaay better than Chickfila. They r always piping hot and juicy when they arrive at the table and as much as I despise mayo, the dipping sauce is amazing. The fact that they are a Louisiana-based restaurant also means they have the awesome super crushed ice and legit sweet tea! The portions r huge so if I get a meal instead of sharing with my kids, the 3 finger combo w a side of bread and fries is over the top filling (but delicious.) I'm picky when it comes to service and even though most of the workers seems to be high school/college aged, they have always been super nice and helpful. Any fast food restaurant employees that will take the time to bring my food to the table instead of making me leave my 3 kids at the table already boosts whether or not I'll b a return customer. I went there to buy 3 box combos, the cashier filled all three boxes in one bag, once I hit the curb, one of the boxes fell out and spilled in my car. I saw no issue and went back to ask for a new one, BUT I was met with a rude tone and an eye roll from the cashier. I spoke to the manager about her rude manner and she was defending her rude actions rather than apologizing!! 12/08/11 Just heard from the manager and he was quite helpful! He explained what happened, apologized profusely, and let me know what is to be done for my experience. Feel quite happy and relieved that this issue was resolved to my complete satisfaction. He was also took the time to let me know this was a one time issue and that Canes will strive to keep up its good reputation. Can't wait to enjoy some good Canes again. All is right, now! Food was luke warm. Ordinarily this location is very good, even when busy. Today (12/07/11) they dropped the ball and it wasn't busy. I should have checked before I left, but, with such exemplary service in the past; I didnt see the need. You can bet I will from now. How disappointing. Its not necessarily cheap especially for chicken strips but it tastes good and in the past had great customer service. I Will think twice about going here again.
