We came in to grab takeout (because my husband missed the turn into the parking lot and we had to park at the next door Leean Chin instead lol), and one of the employees that was sweeping up the floor noticed my shoes and complimented them. The employee running the register was also bright and polite. He recited the order back to us since I'd swapped out the coleslaw in my Box Combo for another Texas toast and added an additional dipping sauce (it's too good to spread out a single dipping container across four fingers). They got me my lemonade right away, and our order wasn't long behind that. As usual, the food was piping hot and delicious! This location also has two all-gender bathrooms for use (I was presenting very non-binary while we were there, so I genuinely appreciated this fact that eliminated any thoughts of "Are people gonna be weirded out if they see me go in here?"). I'm not one to pick Raising Cane's as my number one choice for fast food because all they serve is chicken. This particular visit I had a coupon, so I decided to give it a whirl. I've reviewed other Raising Cane's locations, but since this one opened it has become the one I go to the most often. If you're unfamiliar with them, they are a fast-casual restaurant with a very limited menu that consists of chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, and texas toast. I think that's almost everything, but you don't come here for variety; you come here for really really really good chicken fingers. They're always so plump and fresh and delicious! They also brazenly get by with only one type of dipping sauce, but boy does that "Cane's Sauce" do the trick. Since the beginning of These Challenging Times (I'm writing this in November of 2020), this location has gotten really busy - particularly the drive-thru. And they deserve the highest praise for managing the high demand. If any other drive-thru had such a consistently long line, it would turn me off, but despite the line coiling around the building and the routine need for assistance from local police in directing the flow of traffic (!), I am always content to join the queue. It never actually takes that long. They are professionals and they move that line along expediently and with unwavering enthusiasm. So if you show up and see a very long line of cars at the drive-thru, don't let that scare you off. They have it under control. Pro-tip: If you're getting three or more strips, order an extra cup of sauce. They charge $.37, and it's worth it. read more

I am a big big fan of Raising Cane's. They are easily my favorite fast food joint and this Raising Cane's stayed true to their reputation. We got through the drive thru pretty quickly, and I ordered the box combo with a coke and requested extra fries instead of coleslaw. I loved that this location is open until midnight. You don't find that a lot after the pandemic. We were able to go a little after 11pm and still get fresh and hot chicken tendies. The tendies themselves were smaller, but I didn't mind. I stopped in yesterday, around 2:30 pm. I was expecting the place to be busy, similar to the traffic @ the U of M Campus location, but surprisingly it was quiet and pleasant. I ordered the Caniac Combo, which comes with 6 chicken strips, Texas toast, coleslaw,?2 Cane sauces and a beverage. I am not a fan of coleslaw, so I exchanged it for an extra sauce. We dined on the patio and it was extremely peaceful! The tables are nice and sturdy, and I love that the tables have umbrellas to provide shade from the sun. Robert is a busy street, so I expected my dining experience to be noisy. Eating on that patio was bliss. It was like time was standing still. Everything surrounding this business is visually appealing, and we weren't pestered by insects. One of the employees offered to bring our food out when our order was ready, and I was thoroughly impressed with her kindness and her interest in going the extra mile. I enjoyed everything about my meal, with the exception of the fries. The fries taste like they weren't made fresh. The chicken strips were juicy, crunchy and tasty. Ok, well, um... Before another chicken place opened up in the TC metro area, I would have said Cane's had the best chicken fingers in fast food. However, after tasting the unnamed new chicken joint, and then going to Cane's because it was Sunday (cough) I was a little disappointed. Raising Cane's offers just what they say they do - exceptional chicken fingers, along with a side of their signature sauce (which is delicious and adds some flavor to the chicken), their crinkle cut fries, and a piece of Texas toast. The fingers themselves are the highlight, as the chicken is fresh and juicy. Don't expect gobs of breading; they offer just enough of their crispy coating. Cane's has a specialty menu serving up very limited options. The idea is to eat chicken fingers. Do not expect otherwise. What sets Cane's apart is that they only use the best, most expensive part of the chicken and they never allow their chicken to be frozen. Notably, they are the juiciest pieces of meat, ever. In fact, I was weirded-out at first because I had never consumed such fresh, unfrozen chicken. the whole experience is geared around this concept. The breading on the chicken is just average because they don't want to make it detract from the chicken. Give the Cane's sauce a try, too. The staff were decent. The atmosphere is a little better than expected for a fast-food joint. If you like chicken fingers (or chicken tenders as I prefer to call them) you have to at least give this place a try. read more

I appreciate the extra patrol Canes offered at this location! It allowed the line to move forward in a timely matter as it would get a bit confusing given how busy they are. This was my first time at Canes. Overall, it was okay. The chicken was tender, not as flavorful. I guess this is where the sauce comes in, but even the sauce was okay- nothing too special. Our food tasted like I was expecting because I had been to a Cane's previously. But the atmosphere couldn't be ignored and as soon as we were done eating, we left ASAP. Considering they are in direct competition with Chick Filet across the street, I would have expected much more. I was so excited to try this place for the first time today but unfortunately the best thing on the menu was there crinkle cut fries which in my opinion are the worst fries ever. The chicken was mediocre, but if I'm going to chicken restaurant I want more than to dipping sauces. The first thing you think of when you think of chicken fingers barbecue sauce, well they don't carry it, second sauce in my opinion would be ranch, they don't carry that either.
