Really have enjoyed Canes recently. My friend introduced me to it before she left for home. I really enjoyed it. I will be honest at first I just wondered how a place could sell just tenders and a couple of sides and stay in business. That was before I tried. The tenders are very freshly cooked. The slaw is great. It has a great tangy taste. The lemonade is very good and not way too sweet like some places. The fries are average. Their cane sauce is very good. It seems to be made w ketchup mayo and pepper plus something else. The sandwich was good but I can highly recommend the box. The Texas toast is a bit different than most. It has a garlic seasoning on it. I used to wonder why the big line. Now after trying I know why this place is so busy. P.S. the line in drive thru does move quickly. read more

I'm very sad because we moved to Hewitt one year ago. My favorite comfort food has been Raising Cane's chicken. But today & last week, the food has been horrible! The chicken pieces used to be large, full of white, tender meat chicken. Now the past 2 visits, our food was just a thick inedible crunchy coating on some tough, tiny bits of chicken. The fries are good. The coleslaw has tasted old or stale, these last 2 visits also. I'm very disappointed in $11.97 for what was supposed to be 4 pieces of chicken. But they were the skinniest, smallest & most tough pieces of chicken ever! I gave it two shots before I wrote this Review. I understand things are difficult right now & in the world but when quality & quantity goes way down, then I stop getting that service. I think we are done for awhile. read more

For the food, I would give all Raising Cane's restaurants between 4 and 5 stars. This restaurant though definitely earned 5 stars due to their great customer service. Employees here were really going above and beyond. Restaurant was clean, and the manager and employees all made several nice gestures. Great place, will be going back here. read more

Well, put by the side again. The manager does not say hello to customers at the table unless you are single woman, family with small children or manly men. Drives me nuts. She glares at you and keeps walking. I have done nothing wrong, except eat product with a fork. And to talk about autistic employees to othets, who its not their business is impossible, i could hear you way over here. Great overall except for undisclosed up-charge on Lemonade. A .30 cent charge was added to bill for each lemonade without disclosure nor is it listed on menu anywhere. (Fail) Chicken tender a bit smaller than other local competitors. Taste : They definitely beat the competition on taste and freshness of the strips. Fries portion a bit lacking. We have always enjoyed a well cooked crinkle cut fry. Wife thought Fries were a bit extra salty but may just be her sensitivity. Coleslaw was excellent. My mother would have been pleased. Menu is a tad lacking on choices... no mashed potatoes, no beans, no corn, no spicy chicken. Price I would say is normal for today's chicken joints. Again portion size was smaller than competition. Interior of restaurant is clean with an above average fast food decor and comfort. We found music tasteful and volume not too loud. Able to talk across table and be heard without raising voice. When I first arrived to Waco, the Golden Chick was the first chicken place I tried--it was my favorite until I had Cane's. The chicken here is incredibly fresh, and the fries are great too. The service is always top-notch, and they will go out of the way to ensure you're happy with your meal. Fast drive thru you can usually be out within 2 minutes even if it's a long line it moves fast. Inside takes a little longer but still quick. Chicken is really good and fresh. Bread is good. I personally think the sauce is over glorified it's not that special but it's still really good. Sweet tea is AMAZING. Really good and really fast what more can you really ask for?
