Truffle cream ramen and garnet with veggie broth! Excellent!!
    Suzanne W.

Underrated ramen spot!! They have many vegetarian/vegan ramen options. I got the garnet with vegetarian broth and asked to keep the egg, but the trade off was they couldn't also give me corn. Idk why but that's fine. My partner got the truffle ramen which was also vegetarian!! It has good truffle flavor that wasn't overwhelming. Both were really good!!

Delicious creamy ramen. Good vibe but intimate because tables are close together, will definitely return.

This spot was at the end of my block for years, I miss being able to walk to great ramen!! I still make my way when I'm craving ramen by the beach, or need my fix in take away (my cat wishes he could have some) The table service is always quick, they even have a patio which is nice on a warm day. The staff make your experience wonderful whether you order online, on the phone, or dining in. My go to is the creamy Quartz Ramen and the Pork Buns.

The food is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is awesome especially sitting outside. Love the service, they're excellent. Really love this place and the food!

Favorite ramen place in south bay! It's on the healthier side so you don't feel guilty at all for finishing all the broth. Quick service and plenty of seating. There's happy hour from 2-5pm with 6 dollars draft beer. I love lighter flavor food and this did not disappoint. Highly recommend the salt broth ramen. Pork is tender and juicy. Japanese owners. Definitely come visit! You can get extra serving of garlic for each ramen bowl for FREE.

It's been about six years since I last had Rakkan Ramen, and sadly this visit didn't hit the spot. Service was super slow and we waited quite some time for our food, but I'll focus more on the food itself here. Food: - Quartz Ramen: Could've used a bit more salt, nothing major though. - Spicy Garnet: This ended up being way too salty for my taste. - Salmon Poke Bowl & Pork Bowl: Pretty forgettable -- you can skip.

Rakkan Ramen is one of my all time favorite ramen shops. When I saw their dineLA specials, I knew I had to make a trip. For $35 their dineLA offering is a wonderful way to experience a variety of their amazing dishes. The first course for the dineLA menu is the Edamame. One has a choice to get it lightly salted or tossed in garlic chili spice. I chose the latter and it sure was spicy! They had the fiery touch of spice spread throughout the edamame. It was good but slightly salty. The second appetizer consisted of two hand rolls. I chose their Umami roll and their Green roll. The Umami roll is filled with garlic sautéed mushrooms, seaweed salad and fried onions. Their Green roll has deep fried broccolini, avocado and cucumbers. These both made for the perfect light starter! For the main (third course), we got our choice of ramen. My choice was the Spicy Quartz Ramen. I loved the mix of creamy sauce and spicy miso, I was slightly surprised that they put chicken chashu in my ramen. I thought from previous trips this needed to be requested. Nevertheless, the ramen was spot on. It had the perfect spicy kick and creamy texture that I loved. Last but not least was dessert. For dineLA one has the choice of Matcha Mochi Ice Cream or Tokyo Drip. Since there were two of us dining, we got to try both! The Tokyo Drip consisted of a Japanese style coffee jelly made with agar agar and topped with sweet cream. This dessert was fun - loved filling the cup with cream. It also had a strong coffee flavor. I definitely got my caffeine fix! The Matcha Mochi Ice Cream was also a good dessert. This was served frozen and true cool matcha bliss. To pair with all the food, we also had our choice of one drink. I got their homemade lemonade. It had a good tart taste. This was perfect to pair with the spicy ramen. Overall I really loved getting to try the different food offerings via the dineLA menu. Rakkan Ramen always delivers on bold flavors and deliciousness. This place is one of my favorite ramen spots for sure!

Fresh ingredients!!! Delicious food! I wish their portions on ramen were slightly bigger but other than that I don't have much to complain about. Fast and great service, quite relaxing on a winter cold night by the beach.

3.5 stars food SERVICE / AMBIANCE Servers were friendly and good came out quickly. Ambiance was welcoming and had outdoor patio and indoor seating. FOOD We came for $35 DineLA between Jul 25 - Aug 8. There's also daily lunch specials the rest of the year from 11AM - 4PM. Scallop Handroll was pretty good, seaweed was soggy. Salmon in the salmon handroll was cubed, seaweed was also soggy. Spicy Garnet: Miso broth was very deep, flavorful and spicy. Unfortunately the two pieces of cha shu were overcooked. The egg was also overcooked and not runny. This place is good for Redondo Beach, but if you're looking for stellar Japanese food go to Gardena/Torrance. My friend said the cha shu and egg are normally better cooked, so I'll come back to give it another try.

Been there twice in the last 6 months. Ramen is delicious and comforting (Spicy Miso/Garnet is my favorite go to). Also tried their takayoki which was delish.

Great Ramen Restaurant, professional service, relaxing ambiance, the food was very tasty. Perfect place for a date.

SPICY GARNET ramen with Salmon Tartare and Lemon Drop spritzer of some kind.

Very cozy ramen spot. Like many ramen spots, the place isn't large but the staff make it more inviting. I felt very welcomed from the moment I walked in. As for the ramen, let me just say that it's very delicious and flavorful, and keep in mind that their broth is vegetable based. It's still hearty and satisfying. I also got the salmon tartar which was also delicious. Could use a squeeze of lemon for some acid, but it has a nice spice to it and I finished it all!

    Best ramen place in town!

Great food! Ramen, gyozas, avocado bowls, super recommended. Everyone super sweet and helpful. Great service and ambiance. Very clean!

    Is this place halal?

    No, outstanding Asian cuisine.

    Do they have outdoor sitting?

    yes

Are any of the broths gluten free? Some of the reviews say the noodles are but the broths aren't.

If you stick with the salt flavor (Pearl) you should be fine.

How do we get a hold of them? I tried calling their number many times and it says it is disconnected.

I had the same issue. I ended up ordering in person.

Are the noodles vegan, or is there a vegan option?

Yes they have Vegan Noodles and broth. Just let the server know you are vegan and they will steer you regarding any ingredients.

Do they have gluten free ramen noodles?

    Yes they do!

    Is there a Happy hour?

Yes they do! I saw that their ramen is $11 during their happy hours. There is more but I only glanced at the menu.

So are the vegetable buns not longer vegan? I went and asked but the lady didn't understand what I was asking so I left bun-less :(

They might have egg in them? Ask if they contain egg.

My family and I love to frequent here because we know what to expect. I will say on my latest visit, the ambiance was not it. Why? Well, because while everything else was on par, the music selection was highly inappropriate for a restaurant. Tupac's unedited Hit 'em Up was playing loud as we sat and ate, i had my kids with me. Look, I'm by no means a snowflake and hyper-sensitive to profanity-laced music, but this was completely unexpected at a family-friendly restaurant. I still plan to eat here in the future, but I just wasn't feeling the vibes during the last visit.

Staff were super attentive and kind. Got the dip ramen (aka tsukemen) in regular size. The portion is just right. Noodles are thick and chewy. The dipping broth is so well flavored and goes amazing when dipped with the noodles. I liked the broth so much I tried it on its own, but it was too salty and not meant to be used for drinking. The ramen came with half an egg, and a slice of chashu. Egg was perfect- not too runny or cooked. Chashu was tender. Really loved this and will definitely come get it again. Fried rice side- really flavorful and tasty. It had some meat pieces and fishcake pieces inside. Gyoza - got the kurobuta and garlic flavor. Unfortunately this fell short of my expectations as the top of the skin wasn't crispy at all. The filling was juicy, but had a bit too much ginger taste to it.
