My husband and I laughed as we have know about Phuket Thai for years but have never been here; so glad we decided to give it a try. Here is what we had: Tom Kha Soup - Excellent and full of flavor. Isaan Wings - Basically their version of fried chicken wings. Wings were not breaded, crispy, moist and delicious. Thai Cashew Chicken - awesome Choo Chee Pla - Seafood Curry - Mild fish, tender, flavorful and totally yummy! Presented on a bed of fresh steamed spinach. The service was amazing and the decor was on point! Portions were great, prices were beyond fair and not over-priced at all. Really good food, nice atmosphere, a little noisy, but that was more the large 12-person party adjacent to where I was sitting. Quick and great service. I came in later in the evening as I had just flown in and was staying nearby. This is super close to the hotel I was staying in. I was seated quickly, and my server brought me a menu. I asked about the spice level of the dish I got, and they were able to tone it down. I ordered the spicy seafood dish. My server asked if I wanted rice, and, whether white or brown, I ordered brown. Where I live, rice comes with it, and I didn't think anything of it until I got the bill and saw a $2.50 charge for the rice. I didn't even finish the rice because I thought it was part of the dish. I didn't need the rice; if I knew it was extra, I just wouldn't have ordered it. I'm not sure if that is standard on the West Coast or in this area. Other than the rice snafu, I was really happy with this restaurant. I really wanted some mango with sticky rice, especially after the table across from me got some, but I was so full. I might have to go back later today to have an order, as I absolutely love that dessert. Anyway, I enjoyed my meal and would certainly come back here in the future and I highly recommend. read more

Mom and I (along with pup in tow) ran a ton of errands one fine SoCal morning, which is prolly why our hunger pangs kinda kicked in a bit early. We were within a mile radius, so being in the area AND having the pup, we had to find a dog-friendly spot for grub. This is the one that popped up first (I'm guessing it's because it's the closest.) Made a reservation, came through a few minutes early, but was welcomed in and seated by staff immediately. We were the first ones seated at the patio, so we got to choose where to go - we opted to sit all the way at the end (given the pup and all.) Nice tropical themed decor, but what we appreciated more is that fresh and cool breeze coming from the ocean. So here's a teenee tip: if you plan on eating at their patio, bring a light sweater/jacket. It tends to get cold in this here 'hood! We must have been hungry because we were good to order within a couple of minutes! ANGEL WINGS: A must-have whenever I see it on the menu. Came through nice and hot. The stuffing was seasoned very nicely. Nice crunch on the outside, moist in the inside. So off to a good start! WONTON SOUP: Been craving for this but wanted to experience it here. Mediocre at best. Broth didn't really have depth. Wonton was delish, though, so there's that. I will admit I have a favorite place for this particular dish. Sadly, the version here didn't come close. MONGOLIAN BEEF LUNCH SPECIAL: I realized after I ordered this that it's more a Chinese dish. (Woops...) That said, I didn't expect much which ended up being a good thing. I think my senses got a little confused because it isn't even close to what I'm used to. Seasoning was good but something was missing and couldn't quite put my finger on it... ... but the tom yum broth was FIRE. My taste buds were dancing as I tasted the many complex flavors. Really liked that part of my lunch. THAI BBQ CHICKEN: Mom's choice. This was also a disappointment. Every piece of chicken in the plate was drier than the Sahara. It's as if they did a quick thaw of the chicken from the freezer, smeared seasoning (which was good, won't deny that) and grilled it. We felt like it was a waste of seasoning. Not recommending. We washed it all down with Thai iced tea which was perfect! FOOD: 3. (The lunch special soup, Thai iced tea and the angel wings were the saving grace here.) SERVICE: 5. Our server was so friendly and amazing! I'm bummed I didn't catch her name! VALUE: 3. PARKING: Private lot shared at the back. I believe street parking is also available. OVERALL: 3.5. It was an okay but could be better first run. If I were to come back, it'd be for those Angel wings, but I will come back and try something else. Will update review as needed. read more

We hosted my dads birthday here. They were so easy to work with and they even decorated the place for us so we didn't have to worry about that. Also the parking lot is spacious so parking wasn't an issue for our guests. Everything we got was good, but the chicken satay, Thai iced tea, papaya salad and fried rice were a huge hit with the group. The food wasn't Thai-level spicy, but they can accommodate whatever spice level you want. A few guests had dietary restrictions that we didn't know about before hand but they were able to accommodate on the spot which we appreciated. We had a great time! Thank you Phuket team! read more

We had a business meeting here today and I'd never been here before. The location was right on PCH and 190th in Redondo Beach. It was easy to park in their lot but I can see at night, it might be a bit difficult. We ordered the spring rolls, vegetable curry, wonton soup, Mongolian chicken and vegetable pad see u. The spring rolls were very fresh and had mint inside, that made the difference. It was dipped in peanut sauce and it got smashed. The wonton soup had egg noodles, which I really liked but my lady didn't like it. She said the broth was average and there wasn't enough cabbage and very little chicken, one shrimp, and the portion size was average considering it was the large. The vegetable curry was really good. It was smooth creamy and had coconut inside. The Mongolian chicken was good but I've had better. It could've been more flavorful with more sauce as it didn't really have much. The chicken was good and tender but it could've been a larger portion as it wasn't the lunch special. Rice was à la carte when it probably should have been included. The pad see u was flavorful and actually had a tasty brown sauce that made the noodles standout. Overall, I think it was pretty good but I have had better if I'm honest. My fav at the moment is Charm Siam on Broadway in Long Beach. read more

We got all of our drinks & food super quickly & it was all sooo yummy!!! The portions are also pretty big so do keep that in mind; we were 3 and did family-style and still had a good amount left over. We ordered thai teas that were creamy & delicious. They have the best pad Thai. Sure the location and dine in ambiance is a little dated but don't let that deter you from eating here. They know the secret to keeping their noodles fluffy and not congealed together like other Thai places. What does that mean? Your noodle dishes (take out or dine in) are easy to pick up with chop sticks and you're not left with a giant block of noodles all stuck together. Staff is super sweet. The only reason I go here is because it is right next to where I work. The pad see ewe was average and I got the steak fried garlic soup with noodle, and it had zero flavor and was a major rip-off. They might be the only Thai place around near the harbor so tourists keep them in business, but I can't imagine anyone goes there multiple visits! read more
