    Angel Wings.

Mom and I (along with pup in tow) ran a ton of errands one fine SoCal morning, which is prolly why our hunger pangs kinda kicked in a bit early. We were within a mile radius, so being in the area AND having the pup, we had to find a dog-friendly spot for grub. This is the one that popped up first (I'm guessing it's because it's the closest.) Made a reservation, came through a few minutes early, but was welcomed in and seated by staff immediately. We were the first ones seated at the patio, so we got to choose where to go - we opted to sit all the way at the end (given the pup and all.) Nice tropical themed decor, but what we appreciated more is that fresh and cool breeze coming from the ocean. So here's a teenee tip: if you plan on eating at their patio, bring a light sweater/jacket. It tends to get cold in this here 'hood! We must have been hungry because we were good to order within a couple of minutes! ANGEL WINGS: A must-have whenever I see it on the menu. Came through nice and hot. The stuffing was seasoned very nicely. Nice crunch on the outside, moist in the inside. So off to a good start! WONTON SOUP: Been craving for this but wanted to experience it here. Mediocre at best. Broth didn't really have depth. Wonton was delish, though, so there's that. I will admit I have a favorite place for this particular dish. Sadly, the version here didn't come close. MONGOLIAN BEEF LUNCH SPECIAL: I realized after I ordered this that it's more a Chinese dish. (Woops...) That said, I didn't expect much which ended up being a good thing. I think my senses got a little confused because it isn't even close to what I'm used to. Seasoning was good but something was missing and couldn't quite put my finger on it... ... but the tom yum broth was FIRE. My taste buds were dancing as I tasted the many complex flavors. Really liked that part of my lunch. THAI BBQ CHICKEN: Mom's choice. This was also a disappointment. Every piece of chicken in the plate was drier than the Sahara. It's as if they did a quick thaw of the chicken from the freezer, smeared seasoning (which was good, won't deny that) and grilled it. We felt like it was a waste of seasoning. Not recommending. We washed it all down with Thai iced tea which was perfect! FOOD: 3. (The lunch special soup, Thai iced tea and the angel wings were the saving grace here.) SERVICE: 5. Our server was so friendly and amazing! I'm bummed I didn't catch her name! VALUE: 3. PARKING: Private lot shared at the back. I believe street parking is also available. OVERALL: 3.5. It was an okay but could be better first run. If I were to come back, it'd be for those Angel wings, but I will come back and try something else. Will update review as needed.

Ambiance very pretty it was like we were in Thailand! Staff very nice but not as attentive but it's okay. We ordered pad ke mao which was honestly so good, also ordered ginger fish which was bland but not bad and spicy eggplant wasn't as spicy and the eggplant wasn't as flavorful but still okay. Would def come back to try other dishes!

Decor was Thai traditional. Became busy as the night progressed. Service was a little slow but it was Valentine's Day. The food was decent and plenty, which they had asked us for spice level, it was not spicy at all

was a little worried to try out this spot but the photos looked great so I'm really glad I did. It's a solid thai spot, they make everything without spice so please ask for spice if you want it! Would definitely be back, the takeout portions were big too! $15.75 each. and they have an awesome lunch special and happy hour. lots of free parking on the side street.

great food and a nice dining environment. the meat portions in the curry were generous and the crab pad thai was excellent

Everything about this place is really wonderful, not sure why it's not reflected in the average review score. If you like Thai food, give this place a try!

Scrumptious lunch with Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, tofu Masaman Curry. tom yum soup & salad are included with all lunch specials.

This is now our favorite Thai restaurant, as the food is delicious with authentic flavors! We loved the lunch specials with pad Thai and the pad see ew were fantastic! The tofu red curry and the tom yum soup were yummy too. Everything was made care by Jeri and her cooks! The decor was tropical with a relaxing vibe , had good service by Nina ... for sure, we will return for dinner soon. Kudos to owners Mai & Dan for re-opening this restaurant & continuing the legacy of this place!

When we arrived it was apparent the "chef@ was also the hostess. As a result we waited quite a while to be greeted and seated. I should note that the chef did arrive about thirty minutes later. I ordered the Waan Om Khom Kluean yellow chicken curry and my guest had the deeb Sao Thai Pad Thai with shrimp. I also ordered a Thai ice tea and the server forgot to bring it. I had to remind her after my meal was almost finished. To me the chicken curry had a terrible unappetizing presentation. It looked like shredded chicken and big lumps of potatoes. In fast that's what it was. While the taste was pretty good, the over abundance of potatoes felt like a filler for less chicken. It was a decent dish but far from one of my favorites. The Pad Thai looked a lot better. My guest said it was good, not great, and that he'd order it again. Now to the price. Nearly $70 including the two dishes, one Thai ice tea and rice. This was not fine dining. I realize they have bills to pay but it was much more than I've paid at other Thai restaurants for similar meals. All parking is on the street. One need a bit of courage to park on PCH as passing cars make it scary to open the driver's door. Cars were flying by in the 40's and 50's and it's a very unsafe parking location.

Our larb salad was painfully salty to the point where it couldn't be enjoyed on its own and the kang kio wan curry was somehow watery and bland. Both the pork and beef were overcooked and tough. Unfortunately that the meal turned out to be such a flop, the chicken was the only thing that saved this from being a single star.

With that being said, this is a beyond solid choice for hainan chicken. Delicious. The place is minimal service--you order at the counter and they take it to your table. There is also a self-serve large pot of miso soup off to the side. I appreciate that the dishes come in real plates and silverware which makes the eating experience slightly elevated even though it isn't technically a full service set-up. They also have many options on their menu including Ramen. The food is good and I highly, highly recommend. Please support them if you love this type of food and you're in the area. Also, I saw a good amount of take-out being picked up when we were dining in, so I would assume they do well in that arena either.

Both plates come with a bed of ginger garlic rice, lettuce, two large cucumber slices, a heaping serving of the chicken, and their house lime crema + the sweet and sour sauces. I'd personally double up on the line crema and skip on the sweet and sour sauce, but that's just my preference. Their soup with chicken and mushroom is so soothing. An underrated pickup for when you're congested and don't feel like cooking, I should add. You can even order their broth in small or large portions! I think what I enjoy about this restaurant is that there are so many addicting individual components to each dish, but they all mesh so incredibly well on a cohesive plate. I normally choose to call in my order and pick it up so I can't comment on dine-in service. But my interactions, though brief have been pleasant. I don't have much to say about the ambiance, but it strikes me as a family owned business. Be kind and be patient with the staff. And respect the craft of the good food they cook up!

They've got 20 different items for $15.95 to choose from and each dish comes with their house salad with sesame dressing. This lunch special is served until 2pm daily. I was impressed with the variety that the Street Food Lunch menu offered. I love how they had some classic favorites as well as unique dishes that aren't commonly found. They had House Noodle Soup, Ba Mee Hung, BBQ Roasted Duck, Mint Leaves with Ground Chicken, Cashew Nut Chicken, Kao Pao Crispy Pork Belly, Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly, Pad Thai Noodles with Shrimp and Chicken, Ba Raan Noodle Soup, Kao Soi Chicken, Mixed Vegetable, Garlic Pepper Pork, Spicy Eggplant Tofu, Spicy Fried Rice Chicken, Tom Yum Kai Noodle Soup, Pad Kee Mow Chicken, Pad See You Noodle with Beef and Chinese Broccoli, Kang Karee Chicken, Kang Pad Beef and Green Curry Shrimp. Certain dishes you could substitute protein for an extra $1 or add egg for $2. I was actually pleasantly surprised that several of the dishes already included egg. It was hard to choose from the good variety of items but my friend and I chose to get their Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly and their Kao Soi Chicken. The Kao Soi Chicken was beautifully plated. It came with a tall stand of fried egg noodles on top of coconut curry broth with chicken, egg noodle, onions and pickled package. The Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork Belly came with lots of pork belly with stir fried Chinese Broccoli and sides of white rice and fried egg. Both dishes were delicious! I loved the creamy, rich coconut curry curry broth from the Kao Soi Noodle. There was lots of tender chicken in the soup and it paired well with the egg noodles I also tried my friend's dish and appreciated the crisp pork belly and flavorful Chinese Broccoli. The Thai flavors were on point! I definitely want to come back and try more of their Thai Street Food. I enjoyed lunch here very much. Not only were the entrees flavorful, they were also large in size. I even had enough for dinner. I am excited to try their other dishes like the Tom Yum Kai Noodle Soup and the Kang Karee Chicken.
