Finally check this place out. I would have to say that it's pretty decent food. I'm always a little skeptical of a place that sells sushi, Vietnamese, and Chinese... But it was still pretty good. I went here last week not knowing what to expect and let me tell you this place amazed me I sat at the bar every single waiter and waitress asked me if I needed any help or if I was ready to order I wanted a skydiver roll which they didn't have but I told them what was in the roll and the made it spot on and I loved it best service I've had in years. Thanks to these guys I found my new sushi bar. Also there taste in music is phenomenal I enjoyed it while watching the football game so it's definitely a great place to try if you like sushi. read more

The food is always fresh and tastes really great- probably some of the best sushi I've ever had. But the waiters could use some improvement. One time I went in there, my waitress asked me a question while I had food in my mouth and was chewing, and became irritated with me when I wanted to finish chewing before answering her. Others waiters just seem kind of slow to refill a drink or come back to check on our table. But the place is really lovely inside and I still love going there. read more

I absolutely love coming here, my gf and I come here at least twice a week. The food is great but the service is what makes it even better. Ezra is always our server and stays on top of our order. Wow what a great restaurant! My brother and I went last night on a whim, one of my better decisions. We ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls, Mongolian shrimp, Crunch roll and also a Deluxe roll. Everything was off the charts delicious! 1) Egg rolls- not too greasy and the spicy dipping sauce my server recommended complimented them perfectly 2) Mongolian Shrimp- My brother liked the sauce it was cooked in and the shrimp was not overcooked (something that is done way too often in restaurants) 3) Crunch Roll- Pretty standard, can't say I have ever had a bad one as the ingredients are pretty basic. Nice big portions 4) Deluxe Roll- This thing is at least a foot long and that is not an exaggeration! All the ingredients are fresh too. Not a big fan of spicy mayo but overall it was good. I enjoyed the food. I had the cowboy roll which was awesome. I also had the Rakuu Pho which was also very good. Problem was our server. She started out good but disappeared at the end. I had to get my wife her silverware, was slow on drink refills, and took 15 minutes before she noticed we were done eating. Not like they were busy, there was only 1 other table occupied in the restaurant. Service should be much better for what they charge. read more

After reading so many wonderful things about Rakuu I decided to try it out last night, and was, unfortunately disappointed. The chicken spring rolls were great but my entree (Mongolian chicken) had more onions than chicken in it and was not very filling, my date had the well done pho and the meat was very chewy and overcooked. Prices were fine, but overall I don't think I will return to or recommend Rakuu. read more

This place is awesome. We moved from Houston and honestly we were used to nice sushi places. After trying various places we were just about to give up. On our anniversary we stumbled upon this place using yelp. It is awesome, the food, the ambiance and one of the best waiters I have had in a long while (Ezra). There is so much on the menu that I look forward to trying. Seems to have a bit of everything from pho to sushi. I've tried this place a few times and some stuff is okay such as the spring rolls, and the sushi I've tried. Unfortunately, other things I've had like the pad Thai and the vermicelli are pretty bad and I couldn't finish either. It's very close to my house so I keep trying to like it but on top of it being hit or miss food wise, the folks in the front are not very warm or attentive. I feel like I'm bothering them when I call and place an order and it's not miu he different when I stop by and place an order. When I ordered to go last time I asked if I could have a water (it's really hot outside) and the person said okay and went to the back. After about 10 minutes I asked a different person who came to the front to ask if I'd been helped so I said yes, but that i still would like the water I initially asked for. He forgot, too. 5 or so minutes later I got my order and still no water. I hope they can train their staff to be more friendly because that goes very far. read more

We used to really enjoy the sushi here, but I feel like the quality and the service has declined. However, if you are there, one of my favorites in the Griffin Roll - an off menu item. No cream cheese or sauce if you enjoy a lighter type of roll. I especially like the spicy edamame, the house salad with ginger dressing, and the sashimi bowl. The fish is very fresh, but there last two visits things seemed almost like they had been pre-prepared and kept on ice. The sushi seemed almost too cold (if that's possible). I also have had mixed experience regarding alcohol. Ordered a glass of wine, and I was served a glass of wine that was no more than 2-3 ounces. I sent it back because I refused to pay $10 for 2-3 ounces of wine when I knew that I could buy a whole bottle of that wine for the same price at a grocery store. Overall, I'm still debating about whether I will return. read more

We were here Valentine's evening for dinner and really enjoyed it. There was a short eait, but well worth it. The atmosphere and decor reminds me of an upscale NY restaurant but with reasonable prices. We would highly recommend dining here.
