Be prepared to be mocked and yelled at for wearing a mask as you walk past this booth.

This review would have been very different if it weren't for one cranky vendor that felt the need to loudly mock us for wearing masks. So, just a heads up... if you plan on entering the building with a mask, this vendor is incredibly offended by that and will be sure to let you and everyone around you know just how angry he is. As far as which booth this was, trust me, you'll know it when you see it.

If you're into flea markets, then this is definitely one to check out. It's a lot larger than I anticipated and has a large outdoor area as well as an large indoor building as well. There's a good amount of people all searching for treasure amidst the knick-knacks. Who knows? You may find yourself something pretty special at a bargain deal. It's also worth nothing that they have some produce and edible goodies here as well. Parking isn't too bad, but it can take a bit of time trying to find a spot. There are atms there as well as some booths only accept cash only so keep that in mind as well. If anything, it's interesting to check out even if only for the people watching.

Yes you can find awesome stuff here. Yes some stuff is like what the heck (like the tons of old sun bleached candy). But I've always liked flea markets for their uniqueness, and the sellers are cool. They had good eats; snow cones, FRIED OREAS, FRIED TWINKIES, ect.! Can't wait to come back in November.

What a disappointment. This is basically just a junk/garage sale. Booth after booth of old faded dirty stuff.

It's all junk. No decent DVDs. The few VHS that are available are all covered in mold. One VHS was definitely urinated on. Minus Five Stars.

What a nice find on our weekend to the area. Love the inside shops. Hope to be back in the summer time.

Ask the Community - Raleigh Flea Market

Which day is better to go, Saturday or Sunday?

Both days are good! Saturday tends to be a little busier and Sunday is a little more casual, when vendors often set up slightly later. Some vendors are set up on both days and some on only one, but you're guaranteed to see lots either way!

Does it still happen if it rains?

It's rain or shine. A good amount of the outside vendors have canopies and there are booths inside the buildings.

The showroom has evenly priced items that are beautifully staged for the design challenged few - a mixture of purchased and vintage items eclectically displayed. Really nicely done and both employees were very friendly. It's not everyday you get serenaded, I must admit. They also had coffee and gingerbread cookies and water - a nice touch - and their store did not REEK of spray paint as some others did. I purchased a beautiful trunk for $100. It was beautiful and expensive but it was special and I plan to fill it with my memories items and cannot wait to use it for that. Down the cement path we walked to the warehouse which brought me back to my hometown and my grandmother and all the salvage sales I've ever frequented. It reminds me of that show Rehab Addict and how she goes and searches out those unique pieces to finish out her home rehab projects. Plenty of unique furniture in here but pricing is inconsistent. We grabbed a guy and asked I'm for some prices. Didn't feel like we got a great deal but the neat part was they would refinish and fix the furnishing for you for an extra price and that did seem reasonable. This place was great. We will be back. In the words of Willy Wonka: If you want to view paradise Simply look around and view it.

This store is pretty big inside; you would never know it by looking at it from outside. It is filled with treasures both big and small. Like any antique store (or like most), it is a bit crowded with items. Personally, I like that. You really are 'hunting' for treasures here. Yesterday I found this beautiful trinket on the floor of a booth...I would have never found it had I been in a rush. I highly recommend you take your time here. Google reviewers seem more critical of Hunt & Gather and its staff...but personally I had a very different experience. On Google, people wrote that staff was following them, being rude, and that this place was overpriced. Now...your mileage may vary...but I found the staff to be extremely kind. They would check in on me a couple times just to see if I needed help, but largely let me do my own hunting in peace. I think some items are certainly pricey and I can't quite understand why, but by and large I found the prices to be competitive. For example, you can get an entire Noritake china set (with 12 settings!) for $450. Anywhere else this could go easily for $700+. You can buy some dupes at HomeGoods for sure, but HomeGoods aint that cheap -- and I'd argue some of the pieces here are priced even more competitively than HomeGoods. I bought 3 chinoiserie vases/jars yesterday (at ~$30 a pop) and am soooo enamored by them. All in all, I'd recommend you swing by especially if you're furnishing, or refurnishing, your home. There are some really nice things here....and I think I may come by every now and then just to see what's in stock!

The person we were staying with referred us to another antique store within the same warehouse complex. Cabin is further down in a more discreet & easily missed location. We almost left and missed it but I was curious to drive through the lot more and explore. It had been snowy & rainy and the unpaved lot was a big muddy mess. Doesn't bother me one bit but just a side note for people to come prepared to possibly puddle jump to get to the good stuff ! As soon as I walked into Cabin all of the angels started singing and I could have died and happily gone to heaven immediately. By far my most favorite store I have encountered in a very long time. The owner, Cecil was so friendly and welcoming and has curated a phenomenal collection of vintage and antique items in his warehouse space. Prices were reasonable and there were some very unique items there. I'm in this business , work at a store and although I love antiquing .. Sometimes items become redundant.. But not here ! You can tell Cecil loves what he does and sharing it with his customers. He fired up his 1930s Wurlitzer for us and blasted some oldies while we shopped. Too cool ! I only have 2 regrets .. Not taking photos to share on this new listing (I wound up creating it once I got back in the car to my phone ) and being too broke to have to pass up these incredible owl andirons with glowing glass eyes ! (I've included a google pic I found that I dote over .. ) This store is only open on the weekends and is definitely a MUST SEE !
