I love this Raleys! They make the best sandwiches in their deli. They have lots of different breads and rolls that they bake up every day so the bread is always fresh. My favorite Is the "Rustic French" roll...that's my kind of bread...artisan quality that's crusty on the outside, yet tender on the inside with a delicious flavor. SO good! They also use high-quality lunch meats and condiments, like Best Foods Mayo so you can really taste the difference. The produce they put on their sandwiches is always fresh and they're very generous with everything. Best place in town to get a sandwich when you're in the mood for one. What I really like too, is that the deli is right next to the sandwich area and they will make up any kind of sandwich for you, even if it's not on the regular sandwich menu. My husband loves their meatloaf and he always has them make up a meatloaf sandwich for him, or chicken salad or mortadella (an Italian lunchmeat). The ladies working behind the counter are always so accommodating. It's a great deli. All the salads and prepared foods seem fresh and kept up. I know Raleys has a reputation for being a higher-priced grocery store but I've been shopping there for years and I feel you get a great value for your money. Their weekly and daily specials are terrific and I know that the quality of their Food is high, especially in their meat and produce depts. Plus they have some of the nicest employees in town. So apparently your employees feel like they can close the store whenever they feel like going home I needed to run in for something really quick 10 minutes before you were "closed" and the doors were locked and staff absolutely saw me! I want to praise the courtesy clerk who helped me I believe his name was nick but I can't remember. But in 12/26 around 11:45pm I went to get balloons filled up after being told by Safeway they would not fill up latex balloons for me. I walked up to the courtesy clerk and asked if they were able to fill up 4 latex balloons and 1 foil and they had absolutely no problem doing so even 15 minutes before closing. After I told him about my Safeway trip he calls the manager over and laughed and said " she went to Safeway to get balloons and they told her no because there floral dept is closed" and we kind of all laughed cause of how stupid Safeway was to do that. But I just want to show some recognition to the clerk who helped me out! read more

I have nothing against the Lone Tree Raleys but with Raleys Corporate Policy. I normally use my debit card for payment and forgot it on my recent trip but I had my checks with me so I wrote a check and provided my license. Their system refused my check because "when you haven't written a check recently there is a $100 limit." My total was a little over $200. I had no tobacco or alcohol products nor any of those other products they lock up. I have a Something Extra account and they could easily see that I have been a solid customer. I had to go home, get my card, come back, wait for the cart from the back and be humiliated with all other customers thinking I couldn't pay for my groceries. I was mortified. Until they change this policy be warned that if you deviate from your usual payment method you will be subject to humiliation, accusation and judgement. There are too many other choices to be treated like this. read more

I have to admit, Raley's is the spot! They are the only grocery store that carries Minute Maid Light Lemonade; I usually buy 3 or 4 because it does sell out! They are a bit pricey, but can find everything that you need without having to go the several different stores. read more

Don't not ask the pharmacy for the code to the bathroom, which is located next to there department, they are not to be trusted to hold the door code a secret, and may unleash it upon the world, the management of the store feel everyone in Antioch who has this secret bathroom code is going to spread this secret bathroom code throughout Contra Costa, any mayhem will ensue, as there "customers" now know the secret code to the bathroom,, and will scream it from the rooftops , don't believe me please see for yourself how idiotic there logic is with a bathroom code. I love Raley's and do not shop anywhere else. The meat dept is always fresh, as is the produce. People complain it is more expensive, but I do not want to pack my own groceries and shop in those filthy Winco's! My only complaint for Raley's is the Deli and Bakery staff, customer service sucks, you can stand there quite some time and they purposely will not look up to help you. I think a little motivational training in that department could go a long way! read more

I came here yesterday and bought a Mylar and for regular balloons. I was told the entire bunch should last about two weeks. Call me naïve. Call me stupid. But one thing 'm not, is dishonest. Today, I took the balloons back to get more air and there was no one in the section for about 15 minutes so I walked up to the front and asked the last check or or first if you consider the 15 items or less being the last. She was incredibly aggressive and rude to me explaining that the balloon only last one day, and I would have to pay for everything all over again. She then accused me of coming from another store to get my balloons filled LOL. Then the kid who did it yesterday stepped up and tried to help out. I just walked out with my saggy balloons feeling defeated and hating the floral department at Raleys. I understand people have bad days, but that doesn't give anybody the right to yell at customers like a wild animal. read more

This store is horribly managed. I know a few of the workers there and ever since this store received a new store manager (Erica) the store has gone down the gutter. The store manager cut hours so much for the employees, and only schedules a limited amount of people that they constantly pull staff from other departments. Thus, making it stressful for the workers and unhappy. I feel that this store needs to be put under new management to better the store and the employees. If the employees were being treated fairly, the store would be managed better as well. I would like to see happy employees who want their store to succeed instead of unhappy employees who deserve better. read more

LOVE this place, even though the prices are way higher, it's very convenient for us 10 min walk from our house. Also everyone is super nice and always super helpful. My daughter recently went to a field trip there and she gets excited when she sees managers that helped her class. Last but not least, the store is cuter then luckys and foodmaxx, yes cuter! Raley's might be the only supermarket in the area where all of the employees are both intelligent and friendly. There's a gluten-free section that is more than adequate, the store is always clean, and I am NEVER wanting for anything since they actually monitor inventory. It's stunning to patronize Raley's having come from ANY of the other supermarkets in the area. Like day and night. read more

Mostly clean. I shop here if I have time. The set-up is just like every grocery store, everything fresh located outer aisles and everything process is the middle. Isles are clean and everything is kept where they are suppose to be. I have had a few incidents when I bought sweet potatoes and they were rotten, because they stack bags on top of bags. This location is much smaller than Brentwood. They need MORE registers open during rush hours. read more

This is the second time I have gotten awful shrimp from Raleys. They appear fine until you get them home and find out they haven't been de vained or cleaned out. Once cooked they have a really chemical after taste. Two meals have been ruined because I forgot the first time how gross they were. Theses are coming "fresh" from the seafood department. So I would expect them not to taste like garbage. Very disappointed. read more

Apparently I started this review and never finished it. When my Raleys Store was converted over to a different type market, I was so disappointed. I'd been shopping at the Buchanan Road store since it opened or I moved here -- so long ago I can't recall which came first so let's just say 1983 and leave it at that. After it closed I was bereft and started driving to the Lonetree store. I'm glad I did. Many of the old employees from Pittsburg landed on their feet in Antioch and in no time at all it started to feel like home. I don't care particularly for the layout of the merchandise but that's a really trivial complaint. Sometimes I find stuff past the pull date but it's always handled with a smile. I have nothing bad to say. Unlike a store in Pittsburg near my home, the lot is not full of BART commuters. And never people soliciting donations for their personal issues. Raleys shopping carts are clean shiny chrome, not dirty plastic. The only real complaint I have is no self checkout but that's no reason to give a bad review. Everyone is cheerful, helpful and pleasant. It may cost more than Safeway but it's way way less stressful. read more

I live in Sacramento and often visit family in Antioch. During a recent visit I came to Raleys to shop and was faced with a rude checker/cashier When I handed her my rewards card she stated Oh! you want me to do it. Well often times my card does not work in the machine so I let the cashiers do it. This isn't the first time I have faced rude cashiers they need to get there act together. In Sacramento the cashiers are friendly and respectful to me. Next visit I am shopping elsewhere!!!! read more

Raley's is my top choice among the Antioch, Brentwood grocery stores. I definitely prefer the Brentwood location over this one though because the service at the Antioch store is pretty lame. There are ALWAYS long lines, I've come across several rude women working in the bakery and deli, and the workers smoke in front of the store on their breaks. This is basically a pit stop if we need dinner fast. I would avoid all bakery items, except the pineapple bundt cake -- that is delicious. The other items are just laden with sugar and the taste is just not worth the calories. Sorry, but the pies are not good, as another reviewer mentioned. You're much better off putting a Sara Lee in the oven. read more

We've been shopping this Raley's since it opened in the early '80s. We switched from longtime Lucky's shoppers, not really because this store is closer, either. We did so for the neighborhood friendliness, the better class of staff at Raley's and thus a better shopping experience, and overall quality and freshness. Additionally, the Lucky's we shopped at since its opening (Somersville) were developing staff with increasingly rude behavior (talking to each other while ignoring the customer they were dealing with, bragging/lying about their length of time employed there, just general declining attitude toward management, etc.) We also shop mainly the produce and the perimeter, with some selected stuff out of the dry goods aisles, but the pharmacist, Greg Muir, is excellent for information, and lots of the checkers there we've known for years and wouldn't trade them. We also like TJ's and use Winco for somethings, but this is our "home store." As for the woman who wants free cookies for her children, all I can say is "entitlement generation" and look where it's put this economy, "Lady." read more

What are you all doing with the messy side stacks and end caps??? It makes me and Most nuts! We can't handle it! ..I think Brentwood is the only one who gives good CS now days but its to far to go....Raleys has mostly unavailable upstairs people working for them who are just there to get a paycheck and could care less about taking the time to help a customer..............ETA that i spoke with the manager Russ at Antioch store and he was very responsive to the problem i encountered at his store and told me if there was another issue to ask for him and he will take care of it.Very helpful and actually is looking into ordering what i needed from the health food section dept as the gal that should have done that said she couldnt....Now that IS good CS its just to bad all the workers cant be that way also. read more
