I've shopped here almost exclusively for years, but their deli has gone down hill. They always used to have at least 2 deli meats on sale every single time I was there, which was a huge help considering prices these days. No more. You could tell whoever was working behind the counter what you wanted, how much you wanted, how you wanted it sliced, etc... No more. Now everything is pre-sliced and packaged by the pound. Most meats are covered with paper so you can't even see what you're buying anymore. I loved supporting a co-op, but I have to figure out something else now. Very disappointing. read more

The big woman at self checkout is rude and angry. I honestly don't feel safe passing by her specifically because I go with my baby. Two days ago on Saturday 11/29/2025 the self checkout was empty and I always check out there so I went in and start scanning but she suddenly yelled at me with a very angry tone that you have more than 15 items. It seems like that a new rule they have for checkout but my point is that Winco needs to put someone there who is willing to talk nicer to customers and not being rude at them. That big lady obviously doesn't want to work and not happy so maybe Winco needs to put her somewhere in the back to work and bring a friendly and helping employee in the front. read more

Purchased ingredients for dinner, was very shocked and disappointed to find mold on a product I had just bought less than 15 mins before. Called customer service to try to warn them they had moldy products on the shelf but they were very short and lacked concern, only offering a refund and hanging up quickly. I come very regularly and know what I'm getting as this is a discount store but the lack of concern is alarming. read more

Great prices, but unfortunately the customer service at self-checkout makes the experience uncomfortable. Every time I shop here, the attendant (Olga) comes across as controlling and unapproachable. When a mistake happens, it doesn't feel welcoming to ask for help, which creates unnecessary stress during checkout. This has honestly made me shop here less often. I really wish self-checkout had friendlier, more supportive staff, because it would make a big difference. read more

This review is for preorder bulk items. This is the second year in a row that I've preordered 750 ice cream sandwiches several days in advance and they did not get processed. I get things happen, but call to notify us that the order didn't come in. This time the employee said that there was no order placed. So we cleared out the shelve of 2 kinds of ice cream sandwiches. We usually go to the Pittsburg WinCo since it's close by where we live, but we were in the area and we needed to get some groceries, so we stopped at this location. Now I have visited this location many times in the past, so it's been a while since we went there. But they had the usual stuff other WinCos usually carry, so that's a good thing. What bothered us more is the prices. How did meat end up being $12? Wasn't it less than that? We got some food from the Deli section as well. I personally don't recommend getting food from the Deli though; it had a weird aftertaste to it. Also, the layout was rather hard to navigate, but I guess because we were so used to the other location. only review " Winco brand Croissant packing", I never like plastic but not much choices, markets now are full of products that switched from glass jars, containers, bottles... to "plastics" or " styrofoam". For food used, mostly will only consider plastic #2,4 & 5 not plastic #1, 3, 6, 7 & BPA free #7. Honestly Winco's 6 pack fair priced ($4.48 ) croissants are yummy good, but because it packed in a clear plastic bag with a black tray (hard to tell the material? plastic #6 SP {styrofoam plastic}? Truly hope more human recognized how STYROFOAM & PLASTIC can impacted to heath & to our Mother Earth + everything livening on it. read more

Store is hit or miss on certain items as far as price goes. Had extremely bad experience today on a Sunday afternoon. The two men working the self check out were very rude and impatient with customers. One was a medium height black gentleman the other caucasian, tall, overweight in his forties with a full dark brown beard; he was the worst. I'm a small 73 yo woman. He was impatient and very snotty to my sister and I. He obviously didn't want to be at work so thought it would be nice to take it out on the customers. Greatly doubt he would've pulled it with a big beefy man. Very disappointed that management doesn't handle this sort of behavior. read more

Never have a problem coming here. Employees are friendly and helpful for the most part. The store is usually well stocked and clean. I love the self check out registers. There's never a line. Some registers are only cash and the others are for debt cards. Right now there's someone at the front door with masks incase you walk in without one. There's also a lot of birds in the parking lot. Damnear everytime I come out from shopping, there's bird poop on my car. Don't park under the trees! read more

Thank you Jesus for WinCo! I do not know how our family could survive these gas prices and inflation without it. They have a huge selection of products and we really love the bulk items. I have been able to stock my pantry full of dried fruits, oats, flours, pasta, spices and many other staples. We use this as a base for so many of our meals and have been able to keep our grocery costs down. Plus, they have very reasonable sushi for when we want to have an order-in like experience. Far cheaper than DoorDash! My only complaint is the quality of produce is just fair (except for in-season times). But, the price does reflect this. Great job WinCo! read more

Winco has the best prices for groceries in Brentwood. My husband usually shops for our groceries and enjoys shopping there mostly for the prices. The deli section has good grilled and fried chicken. read more

This place is organized and they do restock their shelves. I have been there a couple of times and I have always been able to get what I need. There are employees restocking the entire time I am there and they are helpful when I approach them for directions. I took a star off because the meat were a little concerning. This was my first time at this location. When walking in it's your typical Winco just set up a little different. They blast the good prices right as you walk in. The place wasn't the cleanest and produce looks like it was the last on some items, I guess they will restock after they close. When walking around I have to admit I got Lost and totally forget which Winco I was in. We was able to find the goodies we came for and most of the time just looking at all the bad good treats. We know that winco food typically expires sooner than normal stuff we buy at other grocery stores so we shops wisely. I will never purchase produce here again. I picked a pineapple that was ripe but when I cut into it it was pale white and had no flavor, I don't know how that was even possible. I got Bosc bears and they tasted horribly and those are my favorite pairs. But for most things the prices are pretty good. But the down fall they expire way sooner than you think. read more

One of the very few perks living in faaar East Bay (San Joaquin, Central Valley) is having WinCo Foods in your neighborhood. WinCo absolutely beats your typical grocery (Safeway, Raley's, etc.) in price. The difference is huge enough that I feel like shopping at Whole Foods when I step into Safeway, Raley's, etc. Although price is their selling point, sometimes WinCo does not have the same breadth of selections as Safeway, Raley's, etc. WinCo Foods is a solid grocery store for a penny pincher like me. read more
