Okay I owe Raley's a review because I frequent here a lot. Why? Well...produce selection is awesome first of all and bakery is super awesome with little tortes and cakes galore. Prices are a hit or miss, but for the whole foods section and selection - also one more reason to shop here. And then they have a great deli area for food to go as well a Peets coffee inside and a little eating area. They have Asian cuisine, sandwiches, deli foods, etc. To be honest we frequent Raley's because of the sushi which I know sounds totally weird but they do have a sushi chef prepare fresh sushi and it's reasonably price and yummy...like on the go...not that gas station stuff. Being a foodie I can appreciate this....I shall take a pic next time I'm here. Oh and also they sell multiple flavors of Mochi ice cream (Japanese ice cream balls wrapped in gluttious rice wrappers - sounds weird, but so good) AND green tea ice cream AND lemongrass which is a herb I use in daily cooking. Yes I'm that Asian. It's usually only found in Asian grocery stores. Kudos to Raleys. You've won my loyalty. Location is great and parking is ample. Customer service is friendly and hey I just won $5 on a lottery ticket, so you know getting something yummy. I honestly visit at least once a week which means I come here over 50 times a year. Oh my!!! P.S. Plus no panhandlers or petitionors flagging me down in the parking lot...I'm in and out and a happy shopper. Today was the worst experience I have ever had at this Raley's on North Texas. At the deli department The two gentlemen working today REFUSED /could not slice the Black Forest ham the way that I wanted it, less than #1. The two men in the deli department told me that it would LITERALLY shut down their machine, I call B. S#;'t because the ladies working in this deli have always done it for me. I've been coming here very regularly for almost 10 years now. The staff is great, selection, etc but one thing has never changed which gives it a 3 star for me is their inability to rotate products/check the expiration dates. You really have to check the dates of everything you buy- it could be out of date for days, weeks, months... Besides the high cost this store usually doesn't disappoint. Friendly staff. Usually a good selection of produce. A nice variety of items in the deli and bakery. I love the self check out and $5 Monday deals. I am usually able to get in and out. The store is always clean. The only thing I am not a fan of is they allow people to sell stuff at the front door and/or ask for money. Whenever I see that I skip this store and go elsewhere. read more

Everyone is nice and helpful. They have the best ice cream selections. Their flower sections always come thru when I need a flower arrangement. Fruit and vegetables are always pretty decent and stocked. Lately been surprised not having long lines at the check out and been able to come thru with my shopping good time. Came in to just pick up some salad mix but ended up picking up more. The store is very clean and lots of items stocked today. I decided to go ahead and use a gift card I had and use my reward I received in the mail. I spent more time in the store due to the music playing. I didn't want to leave because each time a song came in it was a favorite. It was a nonstop play of 50s & 60s music. Besides the perfect song playlist to shop to the staff was friendly. Sorry but you have some of the rudest employees. I came last Friday 1/20/23 between 8-9 and the cashier Robin was extremely rude. I get that she was busy but you should never ignore your customers. I am in customer service industry myself so I know how important it is to treat our customers well. As I checked out she didn't even greet me nor make eye contact. There was no bagger present initially so I proceeded to bag my own items and I didn't even get a thank you from Robin. Eventually when another employees did come to bag she took her time to thank him but said nothing to me. Even upon handing me my receipt I said thank you and still nothing from Robin. I literally just spent $100 at this visit and I couldn't even get a smile. I should have just checked myself out. Awful customer service. Avoid this store at all costs. Thanks Robin! read more

I don't know what happened to this location, but the customer service and the general appeal has gone way down. When I moved here, the store was great. The manager would smile at customers and greet them. But then there was a change over in management. I don't see the old manager anymore. Employees are just walking around or chatting in the isles, and they tell me to ask customer service for help where the customer service person only acknowledges women and ignores my husband (this happens quite a bit, and we used to go there weekly). Customers are also allowed to walk about eating store food and put the waste on the shelves, and leave. I even saw the customer opening the bag in front of an employee and just munching away while they chatted and laughed about life. I did not mean to overhear, but I was waiting for the employee to help me locate an item, and that is when we stopped so he could chat with the customer. That is when I left and never came back. I now go to the Safeway across the freeway or down by Costco. Sorry Raley's, but this location went way down. :( read more

I have been coming to this Raley's for close to 20 years - since it opened- as I live nearby. For many years Raley's was known for their good service and not making the customers wait. That is long gone. If you want fast service you have to bag your own groceries. Today I had too many items and ended up standing in a long line as only 2 cashiers were open and 1 bagger for both of them. This was on top of picking up groceries for the holiday at outrageous prices. I felt like a fool as I waited quite a long time to purchase these overpriced items. Raley's usually lowers prices for the holiday but I guess decided to not do that this holiday. The cashiers used to also be these friendly faces that I would look forward to seeing. Now I get a sullen person who is obviously being overworked. I know people are tired of this so fantasize Raley's will go back to better days. It is a nice store. read more

I have shopped at this Raley's since it opened as it is near my home. For many years it had excellent service and decent prices. If there were more than 2 customers waiting in line they would open up another register. The cashiers were friendly and frankly when I would come in the store I would feel reassured seeing all their friendly faces. I never had to worry about the item that I needed not being there. Loved their meats that were always quality. Now the present. No interest in making sure customers don't have to wait in line. Prefer you check yourself out. Most of the people that were familiar faces are now gone and instead there are young adequate, but not friendly cashiers. Meats are often tough. Vegetables and fruit that are way more expensive than other places are often overly ripe or bad. And yes I should bring the stuff back, but it is so much trouble. Often items are picked over and over priced. They claim something that is on sale when it is 1.00 more than it was the week before. I have cut down going to Raley's unless I just don't have the energy to go out further where prices and service are much better. Very sad. read more

Checked online (Maps & Website) for Christmas Day status. Both said: "Open everyday". No special notice of a holiday closure. Just to be sure, I called and Eric said, "we're closed at 7pm tonight". When I pointed out that all the people who only use online will be very disappointed when they arrive for their Christmas groceries, he hung-up on me. My recommendation to Raley's and all businesses: if you're going to use online services to provide information to your customers, keep it up to date; and if you're going to answer customer calls, don't be rude to them; they fund your paychecks! read more

I had such an amazing experience at the bakery! I really wanted to try ordering a custom cake online, but didn't know exactly how to. I was able to get assistance from an employee named, Karla. She showed me how to order a cake, or anything else through my phone! I love how you can make an online order for a custom cake at Raley's! Great Monday and Fridays $5 deals throughout the week and love my quarterly rewards and coupons! The people that work here are very friendly and always willing to help me look for an item if I cannot find it. On many occasions I have asked someone to tell me where I can find a certain Item and instead of telling what aisle to find it on, they will walk me to the the aisle and show me personally... Talk About Great Customer Service!! The lines can get pretty long during the busy hours but they have self check out lanes that help to alleviate the lines and wait times. My family and I also come here because we enjoy the bakery too. There cakes are yummy and we come here to buy desserts for potlucks or for parties. The women that have helped us have always been so patient and help us choose what to pick, from cakes, tarts to their yummy cheesecakes too. read more

Okay so I give this Raley's 5 stars for a few reasons. 1) out of all the Raley's in town this is by far the best. 2) they are always clean and organize 3) their staff is super friendly and attentive 4) huge huge selection of EVERYTHING. 5) freshness all the way around. Today I wanted some dutch crust french bread. Raley's has the best bread. Ive tried safeway and walmart but they dont compare specially when fresh. As I walked through the store I found more stuff to buy. Some fresh looking vegetables for tonight's dinner, some steak and some rice mix. While I was waiting in line I saw some protein bars that looked interesting and I couldnt resist the urge to buy to try out. (havent tried them yet ) I was there looking at all the treats and out of nowhere was startled by a deep voice. ma'am I can help you on 2. hahahah I jumped but was happy to move my basket over to 2. Love this place, way better than the one on Travis Blvd. This one has a Chinese/Sushi section along with their deli. I just recently discovered the mix/match dozen donuts for $4.98. As far as the rest of the store, they pretty much have anything else you would need. The self checkout is the best when you only have a few items and you don't want to wait in the long lines. Oh and they have this eCart thing where you can order online and have then bring it out to your car. I haven't tried it though, I like to actually look around and shop for myself. The store is broken in so many ways. From poor customer service, to lack of management training, to two hour late deliveries to associates that don't even acknowledge you because they were talking Fortnite. My guess is their store manager has positioned himself in a position behind the associates. Meaning he's afraid to handle customers because it means blow back on his terrible associates. No sir. If they aren't up to par that's a reflection on you. No one else. So if they keep putting you in the position either get use to taking care of the customer or find new associates who will. read more

Raley's is my fav large chain of supermarkets. I shop at either the Sunset or N. Texas St locations several times a week. Yesterday at the N. Texas St. location I noticed things have now slipped, a lot. I had to walk around "broken open" jars with contents spread on the floor and "dropped food and open" take-and-go containers in front of the Deli Counter that had been there for at least 10 minutes and received no attention at all. The folks behind the Deli and Wok counters were studiously avoiding looking at them. A bunch of snack packets had been knocked all over the floor. I put them back on the display. Also, the due dates on some items are pretty darn close to overdue. Restocking has also slowed down, a lot. Lots of empty shelf spaces. The N. Texas Store also has a short selection of Raley's wonderful baked goods for some reason. Time to pick up the game folks!. read more

I was staying at the Courtyard Marriott next door, so I went to Raley's twice on Sat 8/24. The first time was 10:30 AM. The store had very few customers & I only had 1 item. Two women employees were talking next to a checkout stand, so I walked up to it. One told the other to help me, then left. The remaining employee didn't say a word. I struggled with their card reader & asked her a question about its usage. She didn't reply, so I looked up, and asked again. She nodded her head, again with no verbal response. My transaction completed on the reader, but she again didn't utter a word & didn't offer a receipt. Unbelievably bad customer service. A simple hello and thank you go a long way. She may have been a manager. Beige pants, medium brown hair above her shoulders and a big set of keys at her waist. I returned again around 6:00, to purchase numerous items. I am writing this review specifically to address the courtesy, warmth and professionalism of the young man named Alexander, who welcomed us to the store yesterday. We are older and nervous about shopping during the pandemic. When we arrived this young man welcomed us to the store, assured us the carts were clean and had all the supplies to prove it! He was working so hard at helping people in and greeted every single person. When we left he thanked us for coming and said he'd see us next time. I love when I walk into store and know that they are hiring the best in our community and taking such good care of people like us. We recently moved to this side of town and I find myself stopping here more and more. They nearly always have what I need in stock and it's convenient. But, what I truly love about this store is their checker Robin. She's so friendly and ALWAYS remembers me. I'm pretty sure we've annoyed people because we are both talkers! I've observed her lifting up coworkers with inside jokes and conversation. And it makes my day. Robin seems to be very much a leader among the crew. Leading in kindness and showing how to find joy at work, even when it can be stressful. I'm always thankful when I get Robins line. Sorry for the neighbors behind me in line! Raleys is expensive & freakin freezing inside! Its like a walk in refrigerator! Once in a while they have some pretty good sales, such as buy 1 get 1 free on cake. Their tiramisu cake is delish, but I still needa try their red velvet. I buy some Fuze drinks once & got a fruit cup for free, which is great for school, but their fruit cups aren't really crackin "/ I like their Natural Foods selection. Hopefully all stores (if carry organic food) will have a special selection like Raleys. =D read more

Organized and well maintained easily sums it up! It sure makes the shopping experience a pleasant one. Big difference from the norm. If you were to walk towards Raley's from the parking lot, you would find the Deli located far right, pharmacy far back, and produce far left. At the deli they offer made to order sandwiches, Chinese food, fried chicken, bake goods, and many more Raley's is one of my favorite grocers in comparison to their competitors. Although I wish they would carry Starlite Cuisine & the Beyond Meat non frozen pre-made burger patties (DIVINE!), this location does carry quite a few diff vegan brands. To me this is one of the better, if not best, grocery stores in the Fairfield/ Suisun area. The store is always clean, looks real nice, and is neatly organized. They have a nice health food section that has almost half an aisle dedicated to nuts and edible seeds. (Awesome!) The employees are also very helpful and actually greet you and ask if you need help finding anything. (Why don't places do this anymore?) Some people say that this place is a little more expensive but I don't have trouble finding good deals here. Come and try Raley's instead of FoodMaxx or Super Walmart and I'm sure you'll be impressed. read more

Not normally the shopper in the family. I'm the guy sent out for something last minute that's needed or if I found something advertised that I want to pick out and try I'll go to the store. Recently I seen a small advertisement that this store has Hatch Peppers on sale and that they will be roasting them for customers from 2-5 fri and sat. Probably would have sold a lot more and had more happy customers if you had some roasted and ready at 2. Instead I found when I arrived 20 min early that you would need to purchase the peppers inside then come back and wait for the Deli mgr to roast them. In the time it took 3-4 other customers had also purchased peppers I got 3 lbs one guy had 6 boxes full and was 2nd in line. They can only roast 1 case at a time and takes 30 min. Needless to say the math didn't add up for me to wait. Roasted myself at home on grill won't fall for your specials didn't feel so special shopping here today. read more

When one of my items wouldn't scan the attendant rushed over to "help" and proceeded to ring up ALL of my items. This Raley's used to be our regular grocery store. But recently, there have been problems and three weeks in a row we have walked out in disgust and shopped elsewhere. It started with the meat. A few months back, we purchased a package of lamb necks, and when we went to cook them an hour later, they STUNK horribly when we unwrapped them. We called the store, spoke with Carolyn, a manager, and she explained they were having problems with "the butcher's they've been sending us lately." Seemed to be a temporary problem, but it's not. Yesterday was our last time shopping at Raley's. We specifically sought to buy organic steak, but the meat had brown spots and looked nasty. Reluctantly, we looked at the regular steaks for a substitution, and they looked awful as well. We left without buying a thing. Again. Staples of my diet which I used to buy every week there have been unacceptable as well. Wilted an/or yellowed organic kale, squishy and overripe kiwi, sad little overpriced bunches organic spinach. Bagged salad on sale with one day left to expiration. Same with the milk. On top of it all, they rearranged the store and I cannot find anything. Shopping takes way too much time now.
