Not normally the shopper in the family. I'm the guy sent out for something last minute that's needed or if I found something advertised that I want to pick out and try I'll go to the store. Recently I seen a small advertisement that this store has Hatch Peppers on sale and that they will be roasting them for customers from 2-5 fri and sat. Probably would have sold a lot more and had more happy customers if you had some roasted and ready at 2. Instead I found when I arrived 20 min early that you would need to purchase the peppers inside then come back and wait for the Deli mgr to roast them. In the time it took 3-4 other customers had also purchased peppers I got 3 lbs one guy had 6 boxes full and was 2nd in line. They can only roast 1 case at a time and takes 30 min. Needless to say the math didn't add up for me to wait. Roasted myself at home on grill won't fall for your specials didn't feel so special shopping here today. read more

Normally I'm not bothered by the presumption that I am a thief (I'm used to it) but tonight was ridiculous. At the self check out I was being watched, my every movement tracked. When one of my items wouldn't scan the attendant rushed over to "help" and proceeded to ring up ALL of my items. This would have been a welcome thing except his behavior was highly irregular, and this only done because he suspected I tried to take a lasagna. read more

Awesometacula !!! my mama lives in vacaville, we shopped in raley's Vacaville and it sucked, their customer is terrible. The price is never correct and the attitude of the workers have is horrible.I don't think they are trained on bagging either. so we consider going to the fairfield north texas raleys, They have such a wide selection of meat section which all clean! WARNING: STAFF STEALS!! Friend left her wallet on the cart on her way out, returned in less than 5 minutes when she realized where she'd left it at, and pointed out the girl who had been collecting carts while she was in the parking lot. Girl denied ever having even seen the wallet straight to her face, upon bringing the issue to the manager, the manager completely patronized and insulted my friend by saying, do you know what to do next? You need to cancel your cards....and told her since there aren't cameras in the parking lot there's nothing they could do. Additionally the girl collecting carts couldn't even keep her story straight and changed her story 3 times as to how she gathered the carts (less than 5 minutes ago) I've forgotten my wallet at a Walmart and have had it returned, and people turn their noses up at Walmart. Can't believe this happened at this raleys and I will never be back here- god forbid I forget my wallet because I know I'd never get a honest answer from the staff/nor get it back read more

I love shopping at this Raley's. For the most part everyone is polite and helpful, but the lady at the deli must find herself another job. She is miserable and has major attitude with customers. I dread the moment I run out of deli meat and when I need to buy some I am crossing my fingers she is not there. She does not make shopping at the deli area a pleasant experience. I understand we all have rough days, but this lady has the same attitude every time. She is very rude and condescending. I refuse to rate with less stars just because of her, but I do hope someday she is talked to or finds a job more suitable for her. read more

This review is for the deli only. I was in there a few days ago and saw a younger girl making sandwiches. She had her mask pulled down below her chin talking and making a sandwich. What is the point of wearing a mask if you not going to cover your mouth and nose. It is there to control the spew of droplets. Please train your deli workers. Well normally I would give his place 5 stars but today I had to dodge dog poop in the ice cream aisle. I saw the owner coming back with a produce baggie to clean it up. I went by later and could still see smear marks where she wasn't able to clean it up completely. I wonder what she did with the poop that she cleaned up? Did she continue to shop and touch fruit and other grocery items afterward? It wasn't a seeing eye dog or a comfort dog. It didn't have one of those vests on identifying it as such. It was just a pet that this lady obviously thought was ok to bring shopping with her. Questions for management: why was she allowed in the store in the first place? Why didn't an employee notice the smeared poop on the floor and clean it up? Not comfortable with having to dodge poop in grocery stores! I don't think I'll be shopping here again for a while. read more

The staff is great and deserve a better updated store to work in. Shopping carts should be scrapped and new ones ordered. Cashier stations have seen better days 15 years ago. The Produce and Bakery/Deli areas can be reconfigured and offer more products. The store is busy all the time and there is no reason why upper management can't reinvest and rehab the store. Raleys staff deserve a store look that matches their hard work. To Raleys staff thank you for being great and part of our community. read more

I was very impressed with this Raley's store on North Texas in Fairfield. With the Covid-19 precautions, this store is more cleaned and sanitized than any other grocery store I have been to. When i walked in, there was a person whose specific duties were to sanitize any cart you needed to use. At the entrance, there is also washing sinks for the public to wash their hands. The manager at this particular store gets 2 thumbs up and a high five, because I've been to the other Raleys in Fairfield and Vacaville, and I have to say, they have nothing even close to the precautions this Raley's is taking. I think I've found my go-to store. Thank you for taking this virus seriously. I appreciate that. read more

I have been a shopper of Raley's Supermarket for quite some time years. As of late I've come to find the produce absolutely sucks. Sometimes it doesn't last sometimes you buy it and it's not good, lately I farted and it doesn't even seem to be real. The consistency of it or the amount of time it supposed to last it doesn't, or it lasts well past the time that it should. I use an apple, a Fuji apple to be exact as an example I finally threw it out after 3 months it never even began to deteriorate. My experience w/ operator #311863 ( Pam ). As she shared pleasantries with gentleman in front of me, I noticed that she adorned innate joy. She joked and we laughed as his purchase was a pack of gum as he handed her his hand held shopping basket. I shared that it was my pleasure to encounter a checker that was pleasant. chit-chat, chit-chat.....We certainly all bad bad days and I blurted out..." I'm going through a divorce ", and started balling. She came from behind the counter embraced me, without hesitation. GENUINE !! As she finished bagging before I jetted out, she hugged me again. I used to love their Deli but the customer service is consistently terrible!!! I'm always standing in line for 20 min or more without even being acknowledged. Today's experience was no exception. When one deli clerk told another clerk not to leave her up their by herself when there was customers waiting. The clerk basically refused to help me because he had "other things to do". Well I can go to other grocery stores/ Deli shops..... Raley's just lost a customer, I will never go to that store again. read more

The service is usually really good here. The selection is nice as well. I would give 5 stars except there is on cashier who is ALWAYS on the phone with her child. I've been going there 3-4 times a week for 2 years and almost every time she is chatting with her child on the phone. It's annoying. read more

Came in to get a couple of items for our wine travels in Napa, and got some great deli meats of prosciutto and salami. I found a nice Sonoma cheese, an assortment of crackers, red seedless grapes and other items. The main reason why I wanted to write this review was because the checker was super friendly and sweet. It's a delight when you have a conversation with someone who's happy to be there, it just leaves a nice lasting impression. Wow...that was nice of her. I like shopping here cuz it's so close to home and it's the newest grocery store in ff. Very nice inside and a great selection of everything. Even kitchen products, if you need something for your kitchen, they'll prolly have it. Food is fresh, place is clean and you can even grab a bite to eat if u want. i did order a sandwich here once and they were out of the bread for the panini sandwiches. so they used dutch crunch which they microwaved a little and that made the bread soft and chewy instead of crunchy. wasn't all that great of a sandwich. Why didn't someone tell me about this market? Everyone raves about The Nugget but I've found that place totally overrated. Maybe that's why Raley's was such a pleasant surprise. Their organic/natural section is very lacking but they have a really, really nice spice aisle. They have some hard-to-find fancy salts that the Nugget doesn't even carry. And their prices are lower overall compared to the Nugget. I've been to a couple of the other Raley's in Fairfield and Vacaville and they aren't as nice - but the staff is remarkably nice at all locations. And unlike Safeway, they have self-check out so I can run in and get out quickly. read more

Decided to pick-up some chicken strips today after picking up a few other things. When I got home and took a bite into one, I thought I was eating aged cheese. My brother and I were shocked that this was chicken. It was hard, did not taste anything like chicken, dry. The outer coating was tasteless. What a waste of $4.00. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BUY FROM THIS DELI. They might be recycling the chicken from the previous day. WILL NEVER buy anything food-related from this deli again. read more

I really like the ambiance and staff at this store but recently I went in and saw a rat trap on the floor behind the cart area in the store and then yesterday I noticed that the mayonnaise that we just bought had expired last December in 2016 - almost 10 months ago! This morning i went to the peets coffee section of raley's to order hot chocolate. They had no cashier there, only in the deli section. They saw me there but noone acknowledged me. A worker was sitting at the table but she didn't acknowledge me either. Same stupid setup as walmart meat section.
