okay, so this just happened @ Raley's Woodcreek. I was waiting @ customer service for a long time (no bell to ring) to cash-out my scratch off ticket. I just stood there and stood there and was ignored. finally a young lady approached me and asked if i needed help. i told her why i was there and she directed me to the appropriate place, cashier that monitors self check-out. i walked over to the clerk and told her what i needed and she said "just a moment let me finish cleaning this self check out". sure, no problem. But after she was done with that she proceeded to start another task without letting me know that there would be another delay. no acknowledgement to the customer, nothing. just let me stood there like an idiot. so i left. this was 10/18/23 at approx. 12 noon. what is wrong with customer service today. i worked in customer service for 40+ years and would never treat a customer like this. it may not seem like much but it was quite a bit of wasted time on my part from the time i stood at the customer service desk to when i left i felt totally ignored. read more

This place is convenient and I like that they send you coupons and free goodies on your birthday. They also have random purl lamb clothes for the kids sometimes and a free fruit stand for the kids by the entrance so they can munch on something healthy while you shop. I wish their organic produce selection was better and the prices weren't so high. read more

Horrible customer service. Seen an employee named "Laura" today, Aug 2, 2021, refuse to help a customer trying to use the self checkout. Laura told the customer that she had to learn how to use it. The customer was patient and explained she didn't know how and wasn't sure what was wrong. Laura would be fired if she worked for me. Done with this store! read more

I keep giving this place a chance, mostly because it's the closest store to my house. However, every time I leave angry for one reason alone: the deli counter is horrible! The young guys that work there are the absolute worst with customer service, food handling, politeness and delivery of sandwich meat or cheese. I go every single week and I am always disappointed (the few times I've had service from one of the ladies it was a great experience-so I will give them that). I'm spending my gas money now to drive to Nugget where every associate at the deli counter not only greets the guest properly but actually asks you what you'd like and how thin they can slice it. Presentation it key for me and when I'm handed a pile of turkey shoved into a bag like a lump versus Nugget and their beautifully layered sliced meat well my friends the answer is clear. Raley's you're better than this... please double check your young associates in the deli, not to mention the food safety violations I witnessed. Never again will I buy meat from your deli counter- neither will my family or friends. read more

For a grocery store, 4 stars, and that is attributed mostly to the staff- they are really engaging and helpful, and notable departments are the butcher shop and deli. In both cases, they have been helpful with choices and special services such as cutting chicken or meats and as well taking a cake and personalizing it. What they could do better is expanding some of the choices, particularly in the fresh vegetable and fruit section. read more

This store is so much better then the Safeway near by. They actually have self checkout, not a huge fan but it sure does help speed things up. Sometimes the staff seem to be confused when you try to get some help....almost like you shouldn't be asking them to do something. But I will say it has more pluses then minuses. You basically know the drill here. Good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, with a small organic section that continues to grow. The meats appeared to be of good quality, (none grass feed). The store is always kept nice and clean with really good service. Something you can always count on here is HIGH prices! I would only recommend using this place for one or two items that might have been missed at the other store. However, with that said, if you don't mind buying food that's not grass feed or milk that comes from cows that's not grass feed nor drug free and you have tons of cash...then this would be the place for you. They do a really good job setting the store up and staffing it. There's always someone ready to run and help on the spot. read more

Marilyn in the bakery department rocks! Called a day ahead of our gender appt for gender reveal cupcakes and we wouldnt know the gender until the following day. Not only did Marilyn accommodate my late custom order but had our cupcakes ready 30 min after our gender reveal appt. I called right after our appt was finished and she was on top of it! Many many moons ago, lol ok in the 90's ..I worked for a Super Market. So my expectations of Big market chains like this one are very high... A few things that are always important to me when entering a market. First and foremost.. The parking - because lets all be honest, no one wants to visit any grocery store and have to LOOK for parking. This market's parking is great and never do I have issues with the parking. The customer service- I have been to Bell Air which is also very close to our home and Save mart which I dread .. And hands down Rally's Customer service is "Top Notch". Never have I been given attitude or worst.. Not given help when needed. Cleanliness - this is usually first on my "enter the store list" lol when moving into a new neighborhood.. I can always tell the caliber of neighbors I have when I walk into the Near By store lol and this store is always nice and clean which says a lot about management and the customers who shop here. What makes the store stand out from the rest- The bakery/deli , meat dept and my favorite the PRODUCE is always well stocked and fresh!! Not much more you can ask for.. All and all this store is great and although it may be a little on the high side (price wise) you definitely get what you pay for. read more

I just had the most exceptional service I've ever had at a grocery store so I had to share. Today it started pouring down rain right when I was checking out. My 5 month old and I were unprepared - no umbrella, nothing to keep us dry. A checker immediately said he would go get the umbrellas out and walk me to my car. He ran to the back, and came back with two buckets of umbrellas for the other customers. He then walked me out to my car, not holding the umbrella over his head at all so that my baby and I stayed dry. I am never going to another grocery store. read more

really poor experience. They made substitutions on my e-cart order that were not listed. So when I was asked to approve at pick up - I did approve those listed. they apparently made other substitutions that they didn't list on my exception order list. I also had listed that I approved same product, different size - but they did not adhere to that either. The wait was over 20 min (I got there during my pick up time). When I called due to the wait they hung up on me. Fortunately - they arrived shortly thereafter. They stated they called - but they were using my club card number (home line) and not the cell phone number that I entered when making the order. It was an awful experience. And - when I got home and noticed the awful substitution (that were not listed on their exception report that they asked me to check), I called and they said they could only credit it back when I make my next order. I'm not doing this again through raley's because it was such a bad experience. The girl I spoke to was very nice about it - but unable to help me. read more

If I could give this store zero stars, I would. I have shopped here for years and the quality has plummeted!!! First of all, the prices are astronomical for what they provide. Secondly, and most importantly, they are leaving expired foods on shelves ALL THE TIME. The last time I shopped there, i came home and noticed many items had already expired. I ran in again the other day to get ONE ITEM. As I picked it off the shelf, I thought to myself, better check the date. Yep, every one of the items had expired three days prior and it was a dairy item. Have now started shopping at Safeway. There are way too many options this day in age to pay so much and get such inferior items. read more

I visited this branch of Raley's exactly twice. I won't be back again. While the layout and goods are fine, within the Raley's category, they're staff is lacking in the customer service area. The first time I visited I was routinely ignored, had to go around small groups of staff blocking aisles and chatting with each other, and they were generally just "in the way" of my shopping. The second and last time, they DROPPED MY GROCERIES ON CHECKOUT. They said "sorry, glad nothing broke" and then handed them to me. NO asking if I wanted anything replaced. NO asking if I wanted help to my car. NO nothing. Just NOT worth the idiocy. read more

I love this raleys. Johnny in the deli department is always so sweet! He is always smiling and is very helpful. Also, James the cashier is a family favorite. My sons love talking to him and he is always so engaging and nice to them. He has saved us while waiting in line by talking to them about legos. He has stopped a few meltdowns, that's for sure. We haven't send him in a few weeks, I am hoping he is still there!! There is one rude cashier lady there in the mornings but since I go to raleys quite often, I just avoid her line now. She has zero patients and I'm not a fan of that! read more

This is one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. The produce is excellent. The bakery foods are fantastic and the staff is always willing to go out of the way to help. I bought grapes there last week and because a few of them were squished on the bottom, the cashier had the produce worker go and get me a new clean bag...isn't that great. I also like their wine selection. They offer a great variety and I can always find a good value. A lot of people say its over priced, but if you know what you are shopping for, you can get some great deals and sometimes service is just as important as price!!! read more

I feel like the negative reviews of this location are from people who can afford to shop here exclusively. As a regular of Winco, since that's what I can afford, coming to this Raley's is such a treat. It's clean, maintained, and I have never run into the supposed rude associates so many reviewers claim to have come across. The produce is the best in West Roseville, by far, and the guy that runs the alcohol section of the store is very knowledgable about his spirits. It is a little on the expensive side, but that's okay, I've come to expect it from this chain, and I'm fine with it. :) read more

I went in today to get a sandwich, there was the person getting helped and me and two others waiting in line. (I was 2nd in line There was one lady making sandwiches (at 1 mile an hour) (slow) after about 10 minutes in line, and no movement I decided to get some other items then go back. After standing in line at the "quick check" line for too long, I just left my basket there and went to Togos for my sandwich. (the sandwich lady was still helping the same guy) I wasn't in a big hurry however, it seemed as though there may not have been enough help scheduled. Of course all the self checkout stands were open, with only two check stands with people in them. I'm disappointed in my experience today at Raley's read more

Usually I wouldn't go out of my way to write a bad review but I think it has to be said that this particular store is rotten. I have worked in retail and grocery stores for most of my life so I understand the hardships but the staff at this store is less then congenial and the store selection is atrocious. I would rather spend the extra few dollars and hit one of the Safeway's that is nearby. Today, Friday July 3rd, I stopped into Raleys on Woodcreek Oaks in Roseville, Ca. Bought groceries then ordered two sandwiches from the deli at $6.99 each. Both sandwiches were on sour dough sliced bread. When I got them home (10 minutes later) the bread was as hard as a rock! Both my husband and I had to throw the bread out as it must have been over a week old in an open bag. You would have thought the lady behind the counter, making the sandwiches would have known. In fact, I'm sure she did, but was too lazy to get fresh. Will NEVER buy deli items there again. read more

The personal shoppers are so rude. I had a girl the other day while I was deciding which package of hamburger I wanted come in reach in front of me and take all the packages that were left leaving me none. I have had them park their carts where I am unable to reach a product while they are shopping other areas. They never say hi or even try to help. They are bullies with their carts and feel they have priority over shoppers in the store. I have been going at least 4 times a week to this Raleys since they opened and it is convenient since I live across the street but I am looking forward to Nugget opening so I don't have to deal with the rude personal shoppers here anymore!! read more

This is the Raleys that is closest to my house, so I come here at least once a week. Over the course of 15 years that I've lived in the area and come to the store, the store seems to have gone down hill. The produce department doesn't have the freshest stuff, sometimes things are just plain rotten. I always have to check the expiration date in other areas of the store as well. The biggest change has been the personnel. Many of them are just plain rude. The manager always has a scowl on his face, and the few times I have asked him a question, it's like I'm bothering him and he's rather annoyed. The checkers have a real attitude as well, like they hate their job & the customers. With several other Raley's in town, I just go elsewhere, and I find that the personnel are very nice and helpful. Raleys , Has Harris Ranch Beef . Harris grades their meat with a machine . It grades higher then it should . They Cheat the public ! Wife purchesed a Standing Rib Roast No marbleing , stated it was choice , for $60. Not a Dieing chance ! At best it was Select - Grade . I took it back still in wrapper Not opened . Raley's told me to Never come back ( What ? ) . you'se to spend $200. there , NO MORE ! Rude POS ! Meat isn't as good either ! Had a very bad experience today at Raley's Woodcreek. Partially our fault. Was buying the Pepsi that was on sale. The caffine free was on sale 3,39 must buy 3 or more, there was only 2 cases on the shelf thats when we made our mistake. We put those 2 in the basket and 1 of ginger ale. Upon checking out noticed the cases of drink didn't discount, Our checker directed us to Heather. We explained the situation to her. She then claimed the Pepsi free was not on sale and proceded to show us to show us the sales flyer. We told her the shelf had the price on the Pepsi caffine free, We then went to the drink isle so she could verify. Ended up her getting another Pepsi and returning the ginger ale. The whole time she was very rude and claimed we in the wrong. What happened to customer service? read more

I'm only giving this location 1 star in regards to MORNINGS ONLY. I have attempted 3 different times to purchase an item or 2 before work. There was no actual check stand open with an actual person so had to use self check. The first time I simply asked the only person in the area if self check was the only option to which she replied, rather snarky how busy she was at the time and yes it was the only option but she could help me when she finished. To this I left my items and walked out. The next 2 times had to use self check because again no check stand was open. Both times there was an issue with the self check working correctly or needing an attendant. This morning there were 3 people in self check and all 3 had errors messages and an attendant had to be called. The gal could not get the errors cleared or items scanned and was trying to get this done with the 2 other people. After about 5 minutes again I left my items and went out empty handed. Raleys...customer service in the mornings would be appreciated especially since I'm sure most of the people are trying to get to work and don't have the time to deal with this. read more

The meat counter is excellent! What most people may not know is they will sharpen your knives for free. They also have free spice rubs and will slice your roast, debone your chicken, and give excellent meat prep advice. Don't buy that prepared, pre-cut meat, ask the butcher how to get max value from the roast or chicken that's on sale. Every time I ask them for help, they seem thrilled to add value and I'm thrilled with what I get. Try it yourself & see. read more

Big, gorgeous store. Great selection, exceptional service. My only dislike is the way the freezer section is broken up- most is in the center of the store, but there is a wall of freezers on the perimeter between meats and bakery. I know this layout was from the previous tenant Ralph's, but I really wish they had changed it. I hate searching back and forth for an item. read more

Went in to get cough medicine since I've been incredibly sick the last few days. Waiting in line and the people in front of me were purchasing alcohol and the woman at the register DID NOT ID them. (People looked like they could be in their 20's) when it was my turn to purchase my cough medicine the woman at the register asked for my ID as soon as I handed her the medicine. I forgot my ID due to being incredibly sick and was driven to the store by my boyfriend. I asked her if I could show her a picture of my ID and she refused to give me the medicine. I understand she has a job to do but the fact that she didn't ID someone who looked to be in my same age group purchase alcohol but refused to let an obviously sick person get medicine for themselves. After I left the store I had called asking for the manager just because I felt I was treated unfairly. (Giving them a chance to redeem themselves ) The manger had the same attitude as the woman at the register. Rude! I understand there are laws in place and I respect those who do their job but the fact that she didn't follow the law in the first place with the people in front of me, is simply disrespectful. Not the way to treat sick people! Please teach your employees and management to have a little bit more sympathy and to treat everyone equally. Thank you read more

Beware - very poor service in the Bakery Department! Went into Raleys to buy a large fruit tart to take to a dinner party. When I arrived, a more mature (i.e. old) employee was "helping" a customer who was clearly on the phone deciding what to purchase. So, instead of helping me, she just stood near the oven trying to hide from doing any real work. It was not until the assistant manager came over and asked her to help me that she even acknowledged me standing at the counter. Then she had the gaul to say she was already helping another customer. You mean the one who was still on the phone deciding what to buy? Fortunately, the second employee (who actually cares about customers) stepped up and helped me when she saw what was happening. I have been coming to this location for a few years now and haven't had a single complaint. Recently the deli section started stocking the Felino salami. First time I wanted to try it, new girl working there could not peel the salami. I ended up buying in one piece, peeling and slicing myself at home. New girl, still learning, no big deal. Second time, she cut herself trying to peel it, and asked a coworker to take over. The other girl stated that salami is not supposed to be peeled and sliced what I ordered like that. When I got home, had to peel each individual slice, the casing can't be eaten. Today, she said she cut herself last time when she tried to peel it and that it is not supposed to be peeled. I did not end up buying any as she is trying to convince me into something I know is not right and got backed up by a coworker. I am not going for the customer is always right, but in this case I know I am. I hope someone from that store will read this and actually do something about it. I am seriously considering switching to safeway, a minute drive down the road. read more
