It reminded me of Sprouts, but much bigger and with a better bakery selection. I love grocery stores and enjoy wandering around looking at everything. I enjoyed wandering around Nugget. Spacious, clean, and great customer service. All produce was fresh and the bakery was well stocked with fresh baked bread. I wish I lived closer because I would be here every week.

The shop is set up in an interesting way where you enter through the produce section and snake around to the main shopping area. I thought this was cool at first but realized the way they have it set up to get back to produce you either have to go past the cash registers (which I think they don't want) or loop back around to get up front again. I typically like picking up produce last so it's on the top of my cart/basket so I ended up heading back that way at the end. The rest of the shopping visit was pretty typical and I loved the selection of items they had. I ended up picking up some cheeses, yogurt, noodles, and grapes during this visit. The prepared section did look nice, and if I hadn't already eaten lunch I would have grabbed something here. The staff member who helped me was friendly too.

It was my first time stopping at this location and the store orientation was a little different than some others I've visited. I noticed the frozen aisles had a nice amount of space, which probably helps when they're crowded. I was able to find everything I was looking for. Some of my Trader Joe's staples are the string cheese, white corn, salted sunflower seeds, Fusilli Corti Bucati Pasta, and couscous. Of course I picked up a bunch of other items, including some candles, room spray, treats for my dog, and some impulse candy buys (mango and passion fruit chocolate cups- YES PLEASE!). I had a great experience shopping during this less busy time, and the staff was super friendly. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely make a point to stop in!

Recently, I got suckered into the $2.99 Pastel Striped Mini Tote Bag craze. I was sleep deprived for days, debating whether or not to give into it. When I told my sister, she ended up telling me to get them as gifts for overseas relatives. Such a small bag with no closure, but cute. I guess you're supposed to decorate them, but I am too lazy to craft. I must resist entering TJ's so often! The bill adds up quickly. I hope you, too, can resist spending there.

I always make it a point to try other TJ location as often times they have different availability. In times when the most coveted mini tote bags are on sale, this location never fail me on the Friday after the tote bags were released. But for that mini stripes, the line was ridiculously long. Staff have always been attentive and nice. They may not have a wide selection of meat, vegetables and everything else but they have what I need all the time. They have a good and very nice selection of floral bouquets, fruits are always fresh and crisp. I just love Trader Joes! I used to be so intimidated by them but realized their prices are reasonable and products are good. Will always be a fan. July 2026

You can shop down this aisle, with the freezer section on both sides of you and you pretty much end up with some type of cuisine from around the world! I bought some daffodils at $2.89 a bunch. They were all still closed and waiting to be brought home. I ended up buying 4 bunches so I can give some to my daughter and some to my client. Trader Joe's also has unique floral arrangements that you don't normally find at regular grocery stores. Within 24 hours, maybe less, they were opening up and had that beautiful bright yellow they daffodils are known for. I love buying quite a few bunches so that it looks fuller in the vase! As much as I loved these flowers, they didn't last more than a few days. At both my house and my clients, these were tossed by the end of the week (I bought them on a Sunday.) Although I bought them at such a good price, I would still love for flowers to last a bit longer, not than less than a week.. (When I buy them at Safeway, they last 2 weeks!) I also bought myself a string of pearls (A SUCCULENT!!!!!) In the right hands, that baby can grow long and strong! I'll keep you updated on that one if you like! Service is always the best here. I love coming for the freshest food! They have the best, most unique foods for a budget friendly price!

Their ads come out Tuesday night on the handy Safeway app. The old school way (cutting coupons from ads) is still availablel. For the discounts, you can use your phone number. That gets you member prices, which saves you money. Without signing up for the Safeway membership, you will pay a substantial amount more. This store is very clean. It's nice to grab yourself a coffee at Starbucks while you shop. All the departments work very hard to maintain an organized space, although there are hiccups here and there. They have great weekly specials. One that I am fond of is their "$5 Friday," where they offer an items/items for a deal. At this store, if they are out of that item that is part of their $5 Friday, you snooze you lose. For example, Safeway was offering the beef short ribs at just $5 a pound in their meat deptartment back in mid January, but they ran out. Normally, if they're out of an item that's on sale, you can request what's called a "rain check" at check out. This "rain check" is good for 30 days after it is given to you. I just found out they do not offer "rain checks" at this store for $5 Friday items, as said by the new night manager on Friday February 6th. Thankfully, it was already provided to me in mid January by an employee that also did not know this was a rule. So they honored it. At this store, "rain checks" are available on other items that are on sale in the ad during the week. Since this Safeway is not close to where I live, two other Safeway's have told me they offer it on all items all the time because they want to keep the customers coming back. Even on the $5 Friday items. So, for the inconvenience of having to go to another store because of this, I did drop my star rating by 2. I like using self checkout. It is easy and quick. The card systems take Apple and Android pay. There is a checker available to help you if you run into any issues. One person watches over about 6-8 self check out stations. Regular check stands are still available, too. I won't stop coming to this store. My client lives around the corner and she has her favorite Safeway items, like that roasted chicken I just picked up for her. She loves drinking Sprite and about every other week, Sprite will go on sale at Safeway's as "buy 2, get 2 free" and every so often, "buy 2 get 3 free." How can you pass up a deal like that?!

Then advertise Hawaiian strawberry papayas but yet the sticker on the papaya says product of Brazil. Then there's the oh so friendly customer service. Not sure about this place. Definitely wish Bel air would step up their game. Only reason I go to Safeway is the variety but I don't know if it's worth all the other BS.
