Raley's meal - turkey meatloaf and two sides
    James M.

shrinkflation - Raleys deli! Why they are doing this is beyond me. Last year, I could buy a meal at the deli. It was an entree and two sides. A good value and enough really for 1 1/2 to two meals. Now they have put a plastic container inside the plastic container probably to reduce the amount of food you are served. In fact, now you only get one meatball for the entree. shrinkflation while further polluting the environment with more plastics. This doesn't work for me. Please, bring back regular size and value and please switch to sustainable materials. I mean I can get a whole roasted chicken at Costco for $5 and while they are obviously losing money ton this they make it up in other ways.

    Bulk foods + prices

I like shopping at this Raleys more than the one on Folsom because of the interiors, feels fancy! They also have some bulk bins at the back of the store, and I've attached pictures with the current prices (February '24). For you Sac State students, make sure you have a something extra account and show them your OneCard for 10% off! I like that they have their sales and coupons available on the app, and check them every few days to see what the deals are. If you play your cards right, you can get groceries real cheap (think $0.97/lb for ground beef or chicken thighs), so don't forget to have that ready! Although they have a butcher, don't count on them to have special cuts available. I asked if they had any chicken bones available, but I guess their supplier doesn't give them those, only the meat displayed on the case or the shelves is available, it seems.

I go to this Raleys at least once a week nice clean most people are friendly but when I present a coupon or take a picture of a coupon on the shelve they always give me a hard time As if they don't want to honor it. This coupon tells me the 4 print roll of bounty was 50 percent off 6.99 regular price was 13.99 which should $3.48 which is what was listed on the add as well the lady said it was $6.99 I advised the coupon says $3.48 and that she would call the manager the manager then comes up and says it $3.48 per each roll which wouldn't make any sense. They don't like to honor what they advertise which is bad business I'll find another Raleys to spend my hard earned money on.

Someone making no excuses and DOING his job with pride!

A few years ago, before my nephew the soldier worked there, I had some conversation with the store manager. I need to converse with him again, on a different matter, but I have lost his email address. I can hunt for it, but it would be a lot easier if he would contact me directly. - Prof. Cascaddan danielc@danielc.com

I watched a little girl (unknowingly) dance around in it and prayed she didn't slip. Anyway, I ordered the tritip plate with double potato salad. The tritip was "ok" it was sliced super thin. And so it wasn't tough or anything. Not necessarily how I like it sliced, but ok. The sauce was pretty good. The potato salad was super bland. It was light and tasted like some kind of delicious wheat if no one told me I'd not known it was gluten free. The turkey filling was more generous in the gluten free sandwich than the boxed full sandwich, not sure why that is. The salad was delicious, the oil based dressing was tart but had some kind of sweetness added that really brought out the umami flavor. The chocochip cookie was soft, sweet, and crumbled but still moist and a little bit chewy, totally hit the spot for the end of the meal. All in all, delicious deli sandwiches and sides from Tony's. For those living in the neighborhood this is such a convenient spot. This is a smaller grocery store so you won't be able to find everything, but what they do have is plenty. There's fresh produce, wine, beer, shelf stable items essential to everyday recipes, and where they really shine is their deli and butcher area. They also have some prepared items like desserts, salads, dressings, pickles, dips, and more. On my latest visit I ended up ordering their Italian Hero ($11.99) from the deli counter, and picked up some of their pickles and house made caesar dressing. Everything was high quality and I loved that they have these options available. The Caesar dressing is delicious and I'll definitely be stopping in again for more. I've been using it on salads since picking it up. It had a good amount of parmesan cheese so The pickles have a very unique flavor, they're definitely tasty but not my favorite version of Dill Pickles- they are more tangy and zingy that traditional dill pickles, not bad just not what I expected. (I was thinking more kosher dill, like Claussen pickles or like the pickles you'd get at a Jewish deli). The sandwich was the star of the show, for $11.99 it was HUGE, the Italian Hero comes with prosciutto, mortadella, salami, roasted red bell pepper, and provolone- all sandwiches also come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and pepperoncini. The combination of ingredients on Dutch Crunch bread was amazing and I think having roasted red peppers as an option is underrated, it elevates a sandwich so much. While I wouldn't do my normal shopping here, I would absolutely come for specialty items or pick up needed items for convenience. I'll be back again soon!
