Terrible customer service over the phone. I'm a manager at a retail store in the area and I always bend over backwards to help my customers. But not this Raleys apparantly. I called around 9:30am Friday April 27, asking about some beer marked down. I had been to 5 other raleys that day buying up the discontinued 50% off beer. So I was calling literally every raleys and bel air, and every single one was extremely friendly, EXCEPT this one on Folsom blvd. I ask about the 50% off beer and the dude who answered immediately gave me attitude. He said in a very snide and condescending tone, "ummm I don't know what you're talking about." I calmly explained that I was coming from another raleys literally 2 minutes away and had purchased some beer for 50% off. He immediately didn't believe me and said that it must be that one store. I told him no, I had been to 5 other stores throughout the week who ALL had 50% off certain beer and spirits that were disco'd. He then said that he knows for a fact he doesn't have any. So I asked if he could just check for me just to see if there were any, and he said that he does all of the markdowns and he would know if there was discounted beer. This guy wouldn't even check for me! He made it very clear that he was right and I was wrong. I don't understand how that one Raley's is the only Raley's in the entire Sacramento area that didn't have any discounted beer. I think the guy was just in a bad mood and was taking it out on me, but the way he was talking to me and the tone of voice he used was completely unacceptable. He could have at the very least checked for me when I asked him to check, but he refused to even do that one simple, tiny thing. I've always gone to Raley's and have always been against Safeway, but I after today I'm definitely going to be a Safeway shopper from now on. I tried calling back to find out the guy's name, and I think it was Craig. The guy I spoke to seemed like he was probably in management, because of his claim that he does all the markdowns and he magically knows every single markdown in the entire store. I just hope the team is better trained on how to handle customers, and I hope Craig learns how to better treat his customers. read more

This Raley's kicks the ass of almost any other supermarket around (except like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's). All the Safeways and Save Marts are small and lacking in selection, but this store is HUGE and has the best organic and health food section I can find. Plus, they carry Clearly Canadian, and even the Safeway by my house doesn't carry it. read more

There is a variety of fresh food made daliy to take home or for parties. The orders are made daily to ensure freshness.There is variety items on the preorder menu in person as well as online. This location even has Chinese food available. The customer is able to pay at the deli and bakery counter without standing in the grocery line. There is plenty of parking available. Be aware of your surrounds due to cars speed through the parking lot. read more

I would choose zero but couldn't. Raleys in El Dorado Hills has changed to organic,without asking shoppers. Double the price. Nothing to be found. Pushing their raleys brand (which is horrible). I'll admit that the prices are higher here than you would pay at other stores, but the variety for 'foodies' is GREAT! Also, when things are on sale, the prices are better than what you can find elsewhere. So I mos.def. take advantage of sales items... I love the organic bulk selection- the trail mixes, grains, etc are always fresh. Produce selection is fresh and gorgeous. Customer service is welcoming and knowledgeable. PLUS- they have a great sandwich/deli area! I had a trip tip sandwich there that was absolutely amazing~ I have not ventured to the Chinese deli but my son does SO love the pork buns. If you are in the area, try the deli. They have fresh salads, etc....and food with lots of flavor. read more

This Raley's location is ghetto, and overpriced. Left side of this Raley's you have a Dollar store, right side you have a few shops one being a check cashing place. Across the street you have the homeless hanging out by the light rail that walk around the parking lot asking for money. This just gives you an idea, but inside it is spacious, just stay away from the Chinese hot food; we went a few days ago. Unfortunately, for us the food was spoiled, and had a rancid taste. They did ask us if we wanted a sample we should have taken there offer. It maybe this is their way of warning us not to eat there food. I was lucky enough to live a couple blocks away from this Raley's. Of all the Supermarkets in Sacramento, this one has the best health food section for someone with Food Allergies. They even have a sign above their "Gluten Free" section. I live downtown now and I don't get to shop there as often, but I'd recommend checking out the Raleys on Folsom Blvd, if you're trying to find a good selection of foods for someone with Food Allergies. read more

Store is big and clean, however the staff has gotten really rude everytime we go in there. I try not to go in there unless I really need too since it is literally 1 block from my house. Even if one of my family members go the real quick they always tell me Why are they so rude or is that store prejudice. They just star at you dont smile when we say hello or anything. They have only one entrance usually there are homeless right there laying down and now they had a porter potty by the front doors which is disgusting. who wants to come outside with there fresh groceries and see someone come out of that thing plus the smell is bad of urine. read more

Raley's offers a wide variety of quality items, often at under the going rate. Our experience with them is limited to online orders, which have been more unpredictable than most. The good food is an important compensation, but this week that left out two items, brought doubled the milk order. Once the order arrive a week later than expected. We have a membership but also pay service and delivery fees. More fine tuning is needed. read more

I'm a 30-year customer of Raley's College Greens and up to now I've really enjoy the quality and convenience of the store and what they carry and also the friendliness of the staff. Over the years they have occasionally stopped a favorite item and I've adjusted. I've even recently adjusted to having to ask a staff member to let me in the bathroom with a code. But this week I went in looking for my favorite drink - diet cherry Dr. Pepper ( I know, don't judge me) and was told by the Pepsi rep that my Raley's had decided to discontinue carrying it. Every time I shop at Raleys I feel like I'm walking into my mothers pantry, the quality of the ingredients along every isle remind me of my grandmothers garden. The spaghetti sauce selection is some of the finest quality at a local level that I have ever seen. My one complaint is that the carts wheels do squeak which really annoy me so I always test out 4-5 carts before selecting my Foods chariot. read more

This review is for the bakery. I ordered a cake for my daughter's first birthday. I asked for some things they don't normally do and since it's my first child's first birthday I insisted on it being exactly what I wanted. Truly, they exceeded my expectations. The cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious as well! They were even very kind and patient with me when I was being quite demanding. (Again, 1st kid, 1st birthday...) In terms of their deli and catering, the food is decent but the service is slow. Had the tri tip and coleslaw, both pretty good. Also have had the meatloaf, fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, and most of the salads. Ready, available, and convenient. read more

Raley's bakery was once excellent but not now. I just wanted a simple design on the cake and was told I had to call the cake decorator in the morning. I did and was put on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up as I had to get back to work. Maybe they need a new manager- one who has better people skills. I have been shopping at this Raleys for the past three years and I have never been in a store where the employees are as courteous, friendly and knowledgeable as this Raleys! Although I am a self-proclaimed food snob, this Raley's location has won me over. While the relatively diverse selection of natural foods products makes me feel more comfortable, it is the customer service that really stands out at this location. My boyfriend and I have been meaning to notimate one manager, Leif, for some kind of award or communicate praise to Raley's headquarters, for his true helpfulness and kindness. Years ago I misplaced my wallet (not THAT surprising) in their store, as I later found out. I had given up on finding it since there was no reference to my address or phone number and I had $86 cash inside in the wallet. Weeks later, a clerk from a movie rental store that I frequented relayed a phone message from Leif saying that my wallet had been found. He had actually done the legwork to find someone who knew how to reach me. I excitedly and promptly stopped by the customer service desk to retrieve my goods and to meet and thank this kind person. A new problem arose when Leif couldn't find the wallet in the safe. He searched high and low and then his face turned really red when he thought that someone had stolen it. After several days he discovered that it had been transferred to the headquarters or somewhere like that to be destroyed. Leif made some calls to halt the process and requested that the wallet be transferred back to the Folsom store. When I picked it up a week later, the contents, including the money, were exactly as I left them. Leif and the other staff that I encounter on my regular shopping trips are top notch- smart and genuinely helpful. It is hard to find that these days. read more

Yesterday morning I bought a beer that airhead cashier Therese put in another customer's bag because she was running her mouth off with him, not focusing on her duties. That's why I was careful to put my item in safe distance from his but that didn't help. He was out the door by the time her and I noticed so I calmly retrieved another beer, then she referred me to manager Justin at another register who was holding my i.d. that I'd given Therese. I requested her name so I could mention it in my review, then he asked me in a very defensive, effeminately valley girl accent if there was a problem. I calmly skirted the issue because I just wanted the beer and didn't feel comfortable engaging him (You'll notice he's not the approachable type.) He then refused me the beer, claiming I was already intoxicated so I asked for his name because he had no name badge. Even Therese had a name badge and she's not even a manager. I only asked Justin for her name because her blonde hair was covering it... I usually avoid Raley's like the plague due to their infamously exorbitant prices but I can't remember worse customer service in any grocery store. Never going back. read more

I judge my supermarket on their quality of produce, because the rest of their stuff is the same everywhere for the most part. Raley's on Folsom is not only close to my home, and on the way home from Sac State which makes it convienent, but it is a great supermarket. Despite being located in a not so glamorous parking lot next to the Dollar Tree, which is a scary place, trust me (Once I was standing in line and there were two men talking about their guns, and offering to show each other their guns in the parking lot. Cool), and also people in this parking lot sort of suck, they drive down the wrong direction and it always gets backed up trying to get the hell outta there so your ice cream doesn't melt, this grocery store gets 4 stars for its cleanliness, organization, friendliness of staff, and high quality produce and organic food sections! read more

What a wonderful grocery store! Perhaps I'm still reeling from the produce section alone- it's enough to make me want to move to Sacramento! Okay, that and all of my loved ones who live there, too. I spent some quality time at this grocery store over the weekend, and woot, did I love it! Everything is in season in California, and the good folks at Raley's display it so gorgeously, I'd eat so many more veggies in winter if I could shop there! Amazing, gorgeous, and I love it. This store has lost my business for good. I've been shopping here for the past 6 years and the employees have always been friendly but on 5/5/2020 I stopped in to grab a few things. I was second in line and the man ahead of me only had about 10 items. The cashier was so busy talking to the bag boy telling him about her new car that she wasn't doing her job, completely ignoring everyone in line and the man she was checking out. I would have gone to another line but they were all packed. Long story short when it came time for her to ring me up , I had bought a six pack of beer and for some reason she needed my date of birth. Instead of politely asking, "mam can I have your date of birth". She yelled "hey, hey you". Nobody speaks to me that way, especially when my money is paying your wages. I'm going to call and inform the store manager as to what took place. This clerk has for the most part been ok in the past but how she treated her customers in unacceptable. read more

What can I say... I love this Raley's. Is it because it's in my neighborhood? Probably. But it's always clean and the clerks are friendly. I'm so glad they did a complete remodel or the inside about a year or so ago. I'm having a flashback to about two yrs ago when I had a complete "I lost my keys in here" meltdown w/ my child in tow. The clerk that helped me was so kind and understanding and calm. I'll never forget that. They probably think "there's the crazy key lady whenever I walk in. Oh well. Among other items, I bought (on a whim) ONE 14 oz can of Murphy's stout beer (no price on the cooler but how expensive can one beer be???) Upon getting home, discovered I was charged for 4 crv returnables and $ 8.59 for the ONE beer. I know that Everywhere else in the country 4 (FOUR) packs of this canned stout are averaging about $ 8-9 dollars for a FOUR pack or about $ 2 + PER CAN. I could not believe this so I did an online chat with customer service and YES Raley's charges FOUR times as much as any other retailer in the country for this product SO I learned a very important lesson which is as follows; I can only deduce from this is that the Raley's business model includes targeting the unsuspecting customer by intentionally not pricing some things. The average person (unwittingly) buys these things at prices way above the average cost and at a HUGE markup. BE CAREFUL ! If it is not marked, call an employee and ask to have the price checked! read more

Pharmacy and front checkouts are super slow. 'Slow' cashiers. LOL!!! Don't even think about self-check. If you made a mistake it takes forever for someone to come help you unless they think you are stealing. Brienne of Tarth works there. She's never friendly though. I'm not a fan of this particular Raley's because it's a lot smaller than most of the others in the area. I needed to get some meat and came in here to discover that they didn't have a meat counter, just what was out on the shelves.
