It's satisfactory as a market. Deli meat was satisfactory. However, the produce left much to be desired for.

I stop here for a lunch to go on the rare occasion I don't have my own. Today I was short of time and the sandwich counter was busy so I decided it would be faster to get an entree meal. On the front of the refrigerated display it says "$8.00 meal, one entree and two sides." I couldn't exactly figure what was a "side" and what was an "entree" so I asked. After summoning two more people for opinions the counter person still didn't have an answer and finally said, "They change that around all the time, so I don't know." Then she told me there was no $8.00 meal, only a $7.00 meal or a $12.00 meal. So I was forced to read off the message on the display case window, and she then agreed there was an $8.00 meal with 2 sides. I asked about the meat loaf, which was obviously an entree, and she said an entree was 1/4 of a whole loaf. So I selected that. Note here that these meat loafs are about 4"x8" and 2-1/2" thick, so a quarter is a fair sized piece. Now, look at the photo I have posted. Need I say more? I didn't realize my server was mathematically, and/or spatially challenged to the point where two symmetrical and centered cuts was more than she could manage for figuring a quarter of something out. My favorite market by far! The staff is so friendly and helpful and chipper! I never wait in line and if I do there are always more than enough people manning the register, bagging my stuff and offering to help me to my vehicle. Now for the real selection here: it's not whole foods- its better. They have amazing produce, a bulk items section and sushi. The prices are great and I never leave here without finding everything I need (and want). One of the best things about Raley's is I don't need one of those rewards cards so that they can track me. Raley's is a great place to shop for groceries if you just need a few things and don't feel like driving all the way out to Safeway. I agree that they have great produce and a good selection of foods including organic foods. However, no matter how many times I have been there I still have a hard time finding different items because the layout is so wacky! It's so wacky that they have a directory hanging from the ceiling!! I also think their food is a little over priced. The staff is always friendly and there is almost never a line, which is nice. I wouldn't recommend their sandwiches from the deli, they are just ok. read more

So after my visit from the hamburger place "the squeeze inn" I remembered I was out of my FAVORITE ice cream (which the Raley's in my town, Modesto Ca) was completely out of due to it being a seasonal flavor I decided I would stop by and check to see if they had it here. Yayyyy!!!! I found it....got a few quarts, along with a recyclable plastic bag, paid for it and Michelle (the employee helping me) offered instead of buying a bag of ice she sent me to the deli department and they would fill up the bag with ice!! That was very nice & generous!! I must add that all of the employees were so much nicer than the employees in my town (30 min away) I may just go out of my way, ask for a manager and let them know I really appreciate her service, it just really seems now a days you can't find young people in the working industry that will take their time to help you, they are usually rude and always have an attitude! If I didn't live so far away I would definitely come here to shop! I must also add this to my review that the store was extremely clean inside & out, I didn't see one thing that was out of order or misplaced! read more

Best grocery store in Tracy and not any more expensive than the safeway.

This is my supermarket of choice here in Tracy. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, they have a great selection of fresh organic veg and fruits; in fact, I noticed that they recently expanded that section in the produce section. They also have a lot of things I can't find at the other supermarkets around town, like organic/unflavored soy milk, Dorot frozen herb cubes, and Peets. The checkout area has self-checkout but they also are like TJ's in the sense that they unload your cart for you. There's also a small discount for bringing in your own reusable bags! Every employee I've come across seems friendly and helpful, no complaints. My only wish is that they expand their selection of organic/free-range meats...other than that, I'm a fan! read more

Very nice supermarket, a huge variety in cheeses for your wine! Great selection in organic foods too. I liked the set up of the produce when you walk in, very open. I went in knowing they have more quality in specialty foods, but today there was no fresh basil, I really needed it for my dish tonight. But I still give it four stars. Raleys Deli staff is amazing and helpful but unfortunately I ordered a Tri Tip few days ago and when I got home and served to the family I realized it was under cocked and very tough to chew. Tri Tip cost more so, whoever is in charge of cooking it must pay more attention. read more

Here's when you know you have found the store you want to shop at: the staff is engaged and friendly, and genuinely seems like they like their job and want to be there. The quality of produce and meats are top notch. They have a natural foods section that is always well stocked and has great options. Standing in line and I was the next customer to be checked out guy said I can help you at self check brought me over there then made me do everything and walked away .. if I wanted to go to self check out I would have went to self check out.. people are rude nobody says hello that's why I shop at Safeway ... bottom line open a new check stand don't make people go to self check out and bag themselves and do everything themselves if they wanted to they would go to self check out they need to really check how their operation is ran store manager must not know what his doing simple horrible read more

I would like to give raleys 5 stars . Because yesterday I went to raleys did some shopping and at check out I realized I had left my debit card at home. And really I only had a little cash on me but it just wasn't enough. Let me be honest I tried to play it off so I wasn't embarrassed. But I really didn't have any money in the bank either to pay for everything and was like 15 dollars short. but nobody knew that. however the the young lady at check out. Without hesitation said to me" let me pay the difference " . Of course i denied and said I'll come back for the rest but the 2 young ladies did it anyway their names are leah and Tarah ( I'm sorry if that's misspelled). But I just wanted everyone to know how selfless they were and how their random act of kindness made my week. I thought they were awesome and would have hugged them if it were not for covid ... these 2 young ladies didn't have to do that for me . I had never been there to that store before so they didn't even know me ...it reminded me that you never know what somebody is going through. and it feels good inside when your able to do something genuine for someone or a complete stranger even. Best place to shop in town . Best quality . Friendly staff . They have a delicious bakery , and a beautiful floral department .

I love the sandwich counter. I will not rest until I have tried them ALL. I'm a fan of the Chicken Caprese especially. I would prefer a nearby Trader Joe's to shop at (better quality than most stores + many items cheaper if you know what to look for) but this will do in the meantime. Prices can be higher, but comparable on most goods you'd find in other stores. As always, judge for yourself whether it is worth it to spend your time and $ on gas driving out to Winco, or whether to spend a few bucks more but have that convenience and time-saver of a closer store. read more

Best nicest looking grocery store in Tracy and staff is accommodating and pleasant. If you use offers and points system and don't feel that prices are very much higher than Safeway and Savemart. Although they can be pricey, their store is always clean, a really friendly environment, and they are pretty stocked up on most groceries you would buy. I do recommend this place. The employees were great as usual (that's why I gave 2 stars) but the state of the store was not great. There was actual empty milk shelves. The milk I wanted was not there, and it was just the regular milk. There were no bananas and other fruits were very picked through and not many left. Coffee was scarce and also the bread. I loved this store but lately it has been a lot to be desired. I had to go to Savemart to get some of the things I needed. Where are the employees that are responsible for keeping the shelves stocked? Do they need more employees?? Please get it back together, or I'll have to go to Savemart all the time. read more

Came in to get some Chinese food. Service was great and portions were good. But the food overall tasted like shit.

I love raleys. I come all the time! Only store I shop at besides Costco. Im giving it 4 stars because today I had my first bad experience. I got helped by Penny, who is supposedly a manager with not so great customer service. She wasn't friendly and seemed irritated by me having coupons. To top it off, she charged me twice for the same item so I had to go back and a gentleman named Brett took care of us. He is always nice and has great customer service. Shoutout to him! Will always go to him from now on. He should be a manager, not Penny! read more

This is for the bakery department. Wanted to order a cake for a birthday, called them on Thursday to place an order for Friday pick up. The lady on the phone says yes I can order it but I have to pay in full today....in person, they won't take a credit card over the phone. The only reason I go to Raleys is to buy their cakes. I've been buying cakes around Tracy (like: Save Mart, Safeway, Winco, WalMart, & other mom and pop's stores that I shall not name) and find that Raleys makes the best cakes ever. Thumbs up for their cakes. YUM-O read more

After I few more visits I want Yelp to know that Peet's at Raley's Tracy is great. The coffee is just like Peet's coffee should be, the staff is really helpful and happy. I just wish I could get a decent croissant with my coffee. I e-mailed Peet's about the croissants and received an "I'm sorry reply." It was surprised they responded because most companies don't care. Why can't Peet's do something about the horrible croissants at Raley's? There are no good bakeries in Tracy and I would so love to get a nice croissant. If anyone knows of a good French bakery in Tracy, please let me know. read more

Love their veggies & they have a large gluten free & health / natural foods section. Prices are a bit higher on certain items & large sizes of certain products are not stocked- (I have 4 kids- size matters) They carry all kinds of great items the big markets don't (I love their cheeses & gourmet section) & they are less than 5 minutes from my front door. My only complaint is the aisles are narrow so when two people are heading the opposite direction in the same aisle you better both be paying attention. Very friendy staff & fast checkout read more

Ok, so lately I have not been very happy w/ Raley's. I think I should just stick to their eCart service. The last few times I've gone in here during the weekday....there's only 1 (regular) register open, plus the self check and the express lane. There are about 4-5 people waiting in line and I would see the clerk call the intercom for backup and noone shows up. I hear her call again on the intercom and still no additional help shows to open an additional register. Not sure where everyone is....the store itself is really NOT that busy during the weekday. I think I either should just stick w/ eCart or if I feel like going into a grocery store, I should go back to Safeway! read more

Customer service at this location really needs a much needed re training course! Is it me or has the term self service seem to be taking over this store. On the few rare occasions I've had to ask an employee about a product I'm looking for, I get the same answer every time..."What's on the floor is all we have" even when you ask if they can check the stockroom or scan to see if its available. They don't but still answer "what's on the floor is all we have" Even Costco as large as their warehouses are will ALWAYS at a customers request not only check for an item you're looking for but escort you to it and if its not there will give you a pretty definite answer when it will be. I was so relieved when Raley's was opening a store in this area. i thought wow finally a decent grocery store in Tracy and extra bonus not far from my house...TOTAL disappointment! read more
