Although I only try and come here for 1 or 2 things since rayleys is so pricey but I went there today because it's close to my house and I was too lazy to drive any further lol. I love this store! Clean and well organized (in spite of the low lifes I see taking stuff from one section and leaving it in another one ON PURPOSE!). *The employees are very helpful and courteous. I love the natural food section. I have digestive problems, so I have to get a lot of organic stuff. *The pharmacy is great - the people are friendly and knowledgeable. They have not messed up an Rx in the entire time I've been going here (since it opened). *I used e cart when I had surgery and could not go to the store myself - had to send the husband - and it was very well done. He just drove up and it was ready for him. *They have a rewards program where you get cash back and coupons you can actually use. They now have a security guard that chases out the stoners that used to gather here. I can understand why they would be here when they get the munchies - the deli is awesome! I highly recommend the whole roasted chicken and anything from the salad section - especially the potato. Others have told me the sandwiches are unparalleled. I love Raley's! They always have what I'm looking for, and everyone that works there has been so helpful and kind. My kids always get the free cookie, and everyone at the bakery has been so nice to them. The pharmacy does a great job too! I wish the prices were a little lower, but that would be my only complaint. I sure like the deli, meat, and produce department at Raley's. I do not buy much in the grocery department because you can find much better prices at other stores nearby. The deli makes great sandwiches, they have good Chinese food and the fried chicken is good. The meat department has better steak than anywhere else in town. You can see and taste the difference. The seafood is a little bit more expensive but looks and tastes fresh. The produce department is usually well stocked. They have a natural/organic section that is surprisingly large. I am glad this grocery story moved to Tracy! read more

This rating goes to the foodcourt who serve chinese food, this asian lady is really racist as she advise us that the chicken on the other side is way cheaper than the chicken i was trying to buy. We ask why she reply because this is chinese fry chicken , 1st of all i did not ask for your opinion if i should buy "your kind of chicken" i said let me get 12 peice of chicken. I have been coming here because the fry chicken is really good the food is great and i give that a 5 star, the lady who is behind the food court if i can give -10 for customer serving i would give her that rating. I love the $6 grab and go dinners! My husband and I both work full time over the altamont(Pleasanton and SF) so dinner is always a hassle after our 12+ hour commute so the fact we can get "close to home cooked" meals at a very reasonable price is a blessing. They have a good variety and they all taste amazing!! Sometimes they are on sale for $5 so that is a steal!! Customer service is awesome and everything is always neat and clean! read more

I have just started using Raley's delivery service for groceries. HEATHER - who works at the store helped me every step of the way! OMG!! SHE IS FABULOUS!!!! I thought customer service had blown out the window these days but Heather has proved that it still exists....big time!! Raley's is a great grocery store. Always so clean and stocked. They offer a nice variety of organic and natural foods. And i love the Raley's Dailies deals, like milk for $2.70 ..what a great deal! But the real reason i am writing this review is for the bakery. In Tracy, CA we do not have private bakeries, the only options are store bakeries with the same cakes and pies. Raley's bakery offers a very nice selection of baked goods. The cakes, cupcakes and pie look so fancy and the artisan breads are really yummy. My favorite is the garlic sourdough loaf. Today i had a sample of Raley's Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake.. It was amazing!! Best thing i've tried in a while. That pie will definitely be making an appearance at my table this Thanksgiving. Its nice because its new. You pay a little more, and really the only benefit is probably that you don't have to unload your own cart. The layout is a little odd, and seemed almost designed to promote shopping cart traffic jams. I was SO looking forward to the Peets coffee, but I ordered two mochas and they were FAR from what you get at a real peets. The coffee tasted weak and the chocolate they used does not taste like the expensive chocolate they use at a real Peets. If they would have put a REAL peets next to Raleys, they would probably get 100% of my food business. As-is, I will probably only shop there for fresh bread and red meat. read more

I had no idea what I was doing when making Prime Rib for Christmas. The butcher on staff was so patient and asked a lot of questions to make sure I had exactly what I needed. I followed directions and it turned out perfectly! The quality of meat was phenomenal, just the right amount of marbling to give it flavor but my dogs were disappointed with the lack of scraps. I wish I knew the name of the gentleman that helped me but I can't thank you enough. 100% recommend Rayleys for time when things have to turn out right. read more

Today is Thanksgiving day. I needed a few things, so I check online for hours open before I drive clear across town to the store. The website says they're open until 11pm. So, I do drive across town just to find out that they're closed. It's not every day that I get upset, but the other day I had a terrible customer service experience with this Raley's. I just turned 21 and currently have an interim drivers license with my original ID since it expired on my birthday. I assumed since other stores have taken this as a form of ID, Raley's would to. I was wrong. And here is the thing...I am okay with being wrong and I would have gladly been okay with walking out of this store without alcohol had I been treated much more nicely. This was not the case. First Brett the cashier told me he could not accept my ID. This was my first time hearing of this, so naturally I was quite upset. He said it was due to Raley's policy. I wasn't refuting the fact that this wasn't true, I just think that if you say there is a policy, at least be able to show me the policy to back it up. He ended up calling the manager who was the one who really upset me. I wasn't so upset with Brett since I know he was doing his job, but this manager treated me so badly, I walked out of the store upset. The truth was, she didn't have the policy to show me, and I simply wanted to see the policy since, like I said, this is the first time I've ever heard of places doing this. She had to explain this in the rudest way saying "I'm not going to show you our policy and if you continue to argue with me, I am not going to sell this to you." I also understand that they have a right to refuse service. The thing is, nobody was arguing with her and she said this in the most condescending and attitude-filled way. She didn't even try to pacify the moment, she continued to treat me like I was being hostile. Listen, I am 5ft and very tiny, I can't hurt a fly. Nor did I use any profanity during this time that would constitute that kind of rudeness from her. I was simply confused. Learned my lesson, now I know not all grocery stores will take interim drivers license even if the information lines up exactly with the pictured ID. I also learned, Raley's manager needs a chill pill and learn how to speak to customers more politely. Never going back here ever again. read more

OK, we have put this in perspective. The Raley's is clean, the people are nice and they have good vegetables and as a coffee addict, Peet's is great. I never had a sandwich yet, but the deli is horrible. The chicken, salads, macaroni etc....terrible...my 9 year old son didn't even like the macaroni! The pathetic meals in the glass case look dryer than the Sahara; are they plastic? Regarding the Chinese food.....really! Out of around 10 options to get Chinese food in Tracy, the Chinese food at Raley's has to be choice 10....wait China Wok is actually worse; so Raley's is 9. Seriously, the last time we bought it, we threw it all out and will never try it again. read more

Great addition to Tracy! Great produce selection, friendly produce staff!! Was introduced to a new apple variety by one the Produce guys! Good selection of meats and fish. The staff is always friendly and speedy at check out. My only call out would be that the cashiers tend to chat with each other before greeting you. Almost as an after thought. read more

This is the 2nd time I've bought food here and it's expired, the first time was their bean dip which I took to work and one of my co workers noticed mold in it! And this time I got some yogurt, drove all the way home to find out expiration date was January 2016, nothing more irritating than having a long day at work and trying to enjoy a healthy snack to find out I have to drive back to the store just to get different ones, no accommodations whatsoever for the trouble. read more

Good customer service. The only problem is on multiple occasions , I've bought vegetables and when I got home and unpacked them they were spoiled .I should inspect the vegetables before I buy them but I'm usually in a rush and forget to So I just go and grab the item I need. Well Today I went in and bought a few vegetables , the organic green beans that I bought were spoiled. I was so disappointed because I had planned on using them today to meal prep, but I had to throw the whole bag away since they were rotten. read more

Sorry to say this pricey & clean store is managed by individuals who would benefit from customer service training. Won't be shopping here again even if it's location is convenient. Would much rather travel further than to conduct business with individuals who treat customers like week old fish. Safeway's Managers & staff have always been very accomodating, helpful and pleasant to do business with. Will be sharing personal experience with friends & family to discourage patonage with this particular store. I can't believe all Raleys staff are the same. While the food is usually good the service at this deli is horrible. Clerks ignore customers waiting for service, start helping people who walk up to them when they know there are others who have been waiting, have no sense of urgency, and take phone calls rather than serving the paying customers standing in front of them. Don't bother with the management here either because they could care less!!! Stay away!!! Follow-up to raleys comments: You can make these trite comments but the proof is when something changes in the service areas and frankly they never improve. So put your money where your mouth is and actually make something happen. Because each time I come into get something for lunch I end up walking out after being ignored. I didn't come into the store for over a year and raleys didn't use that time to make any improvements. However their competitor down the street has remodeled and 3 people offered to help me before I even got to the deli counter! Found my new lunch joint!! read more

Out of every grocery store in the town of Tracy, Raleys is the ONLY store in which is very well stocked with just about everything. It's also the Only grocery store in this town that is stocked with Jarlsberg cheese in the deli (the rest don't, nor have ever heard of the Jarlsberg). Raleys is never out of stock of anything, they keep their shelves full and replenished. The floral department, compared to all other grocery stores, has the best selection and is most of the time, quite robust. Their pharmacy, despite the hours, is very efficient, quick to respond and remember your name. There's never more than a minute wait to fill a script. The personal hygiene/first aid/over the counter medication etc., those aisles, I haven't seen any grocery store with such a selection, in the town of Tracy. Another strong point is their selection of coffee, whether it be cold/whole bean or ground - they even have cold coffee from two large competitors, and in the same store - Peets & Starbucks. That's a first. Overall, Raley's is a one stop shop. read more

This is the best grocery store in Tracy! Not only do they have the best selection of groceries, but the staff is more than willing to help in any way possible and they are very friendly. Their deli section is top notch. The flower/balloon kiosk in this location is great and has a huge variety. The pharmacist and technician are the best and are always ready to service you as well.
